Review Pho Chau Thinh - Saskatoon

Delicious!!! I was sick so my husband picked up two orders of Pho for dinner. Best I've had! He said the owner was very kind and used high quality ingredients (no mixes!). I believe him! Taste is phenomenal, and when I took out the leftovers for lunch it had gelled solid. A sign of a healthy, quality broth! Very pleased. Will be back I'm sure!

Best vermicelli bowl in Saskatoon! Fresh, large portions and super tasty. The best part was the Vietnamese rolls: authentic and with a different style wrapper that was so crunchy yet light. Very affordable. They've been there for a year and they sure know what they are doing. Big menu. Highly recommend

This place is bar non the one of the best noodle houses in town. They do much more but their pho is great. - a side note : i couldnt get through to their menu link on their main site as clicking on it keeps forwarding to Skip The Dishes. Once at Skip The Dishes Pho Chau Thinh is listed as not available, so there is no way to access their menu. Speaking with the owner, he said they chose to go back to doing their deliveres so he ended the relationship with Skip The Dishes. At the end of it - that's a pretty rotten thing for Skip The Dishes to do as the restaurant owner didn't sound very tech savvy and told me he had no idea this was happening. Who knows how much business Pho Chau Thinh has lost because Skip the Dishes can't get their act together? Brutal ... I didn't like Skip the Dishes before and i certainly won't be be using them now.

never tried this place till recently and it is really good and amazingly priced I would rather spend seven or eight dollars in there then at McDonald's and get a poorly made burger. It is family owned, food is awesome and never had a complaint about it also the people are very kind. I think it's the area they are in otherwise, I think they would get a lot more business, only about a 10-minute wait for food and serving size was perfect.

Food was great! Talked with the owner, very friendly and knowledgeable about how to make a healthy soup base. I will be back again soon! I highly recommend checking out this restaurant.

I wish i could give this place more stars! Quang really knows what he's doing, the food in Phenomenal ,and he uses all the best ingredients. Honestly if you like vietnamese/thai food you have to try it. Me and my girlfriend have been coming here every week for around 6 months for a reason. I've tried every place in the city (including summer roll), they got nothing on Quang's food. Great if you're a vegetarian as well! TRY IT!!!!

Have ordered many dishes from here and they are all fantastic! Very friendly and great customer service. Happy to have this delicious place in my neighborhood.

Probably the best Phở in Saskatoon!!! ; ) A big bowl of Phở (Very generous quantity!) comes with basil, bean sprouts, and lime on the side; I asked chili peppers and they also provided me! Great service!!! : )

Second trip here, both times the food was excellent. Had the chicken noodle bowl with spring rolls... awesomely fresh.

I've tasted alot of Pho in saskatoon, This restaurant arguably have the best Pho out there. Friendly staff and nice place to eat.

Best pho soup in Saskatoon! Wasn't sure what to expect when we walked in, but my wife and I were both really impressed with this out-of-the-way find.

It's really great to have a solid restaurant in the neighbourhood. Excellent pho, great price and nicely decorated space.

Just tried it and I love it! A total hidden gem worth trying for, can't wait to go back and try the what so called bun bo hue.

Mediocre at best. I did not enjoy the pho. It really had no flavor. Better off going elsewhere and I'm sure you could find something at comparable/better price.

I've tried pho at most vietnamese restaurants in Saskatoon but this place definitely has the best. It's very easy to tell the broth is made from scratch every day. It has a wonderful flavor to it that no other restaurant has managed to master. Definitely the place to go if you're wanting a great bowl of pho or bun bo hue!!!

Went to this restaurant on a quiet Saturday afternoon. My husband and I were the only ones there. Service was good. I ordered the chicken vermicelli noodle bowl. The noodles were soggy and it tasted like it was cooked hours ago. The chicken was flavourLESS. Did not taste good at all. This restaurant is close to home so I may go back and try their pho. But I do not recommend the chicken vermicelli bowl.

It's authentic alright, but some of the most average tasting Vietnamese I've ever had. Nothing on the menu stood out at all!<br/><br/>You don't give a Sushi restaurant a good review because it has "real" sushi. That's the bare minimum! <br/>

I go here every few weeks and every single time it is perfect! Owners are friendly and the dining area is clean. Definitely the best pho in town!

PHO CHAU THINH is very simply the BEST pho in Saskatoon! If, like me, you have moved to Saskatoon from a city that has authentic Vietnamese restaurants and have struggled to find a similar experience here, you just need to find your way to PHO CHAU THINH. I hear the rest of the menu is pretty good too:)

Finally a good bowl of Pho in Stoon. Had the #9 combination bowl and it was delish. It's been quite the tall task trying to find a good Pho place and now it's here. It's always a good sign when they give u the sprouts and Thai basil before ur bowl. Going back for the Bun Bo Hue with pork hock. Def worth checking it out. Don't sleep on this place people, check it out.

I've been looking for Pho like this for years! I moved from the Toronto area 3 years ago and have been missing this warm comfort food ever since. This is a friendly family run restaurant I hope sticks around for a long time. Thanks Pho Chau Thinh

AMAZING BBQ PORK COLD ROLLS. I had been recommended several times from colleagues to try them. Im not a huge fan of bbq pork. I tend to shove it on my husbands plate went it's in soups or other dishes I order. The BBQ pork in the cold rolls were unreal. It reminded me of like a "sausage" style pork, kinda similar to like a smoked meat stick but with bbq flavouring. Anyways its was AMAZING. Good noodle, meat & veggie ratio. Im so glad I tried them! I will definitely order them again and try other items other than the one order of cold rolls lol :)

Hands down the best Pho in Saskatoon. It is clean, clear, delicate and lightly salted with very complex flavours. Pho Chau Thinh are among a very very small group of vietnamese restaurants in Saskatoon that make a true beef bone and marrow broth. Most places here use excessive salt and artificial flavourings when doing their Pho (this includes some of the most popular vietnamese restaurants in Saskatoon). <br/><br/>Their spring rolls are quite good but are different than anywhere else in Saskatoon. They use a wheat wrapper instead of rice. Their cold rolls was very great and delicious. I recommend the bbq minced pork meat cold rolls. <br/><br/>Pho Chau Thinh is newly opened. They bring a truly awesome authentic Pho experience only found in larger cities. They may be a little off the beaten path but well worth it.

Have read the review and wanted to come try this establishment for a few months. We finally made it in for lunch today. We arrived soon after opening so were the only people in. <br/>Kid and I had #10 rare beef pho. When the soup arrived I looked into the bowl, the clear broth made me immediately think it would taste like warm water. But to my surprise the broth had so much flavour. With the pho you get bean sprouts, lemon wedges and fresh basil. I like to a small splash of soy and chili sauce. The soup was excellent. <br/>Spouse had #51 grilled pork and minced pork (more like sausage). I tried the meat and they were very tasty.<br/>The owner came to our table and was extremely friendly. We discussed other menu items and are eager to try more. <br/>Needless to say but we will for sure be going back.

Best spicy noodle ever. I was craving Bún Bò Huế for a long time. The sad thing is no one in Saskatoon makes it. So to have something like that is a dream come true. Thank you for the great dinner:). I will drop by whenever I can on my day of then:)

The Entire Team LOVED it!!!. We occassionally order lunch to be delivered to the office. Pho Chau Thinh was recommended to us last Friday, so we thought we'd give it a try. <br/>There were seven of us eating lunch that day and we each sampled our favourite dishes ....and found them all to be beautifully done! The fresh basil leaves for the Pho Tai soup were a HUGE hit - and we all commented on the quality, the fair pricing, great service, beautiful presentation and the fact that all the ingrediets were deliciously fresh!<br/>I was most pleased by their genuine desire to please us. The beef was kept seperate from the soup broth to ensure that it was not overcooked by the time it was eaten, and this was carefully explained to us at delivery - and THEN we received a follow-iup phone call on Tuesday, from the very kind owner making sure we were happy with our meals!<br/>Thank you Pho Chau Thinh, we will certainly order again!!!!

Finally a place close to home. I live across the street from this place, how lucky am I ? Everything I have tasted has been perfect. The owners are so friendly and the language barrier is not that big of a deal. Although I want them to get enough business to make a good living, I selfishly don`t want them to get to busy. Since they have opened I have gone at least twice a week and I find it difficult to not go even more. The prices are below what they should be for the quality and quantity of food you get. For those who don`t know where it is, you should take the time to hunt them out. My new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in town.

Finally a GREAT Pho soup place in Saskatoon. Great soup! Great service! Great people! If you like Pho Soup with the fresh basil, lime/lemon and bean sprouts this is the place. I have been waiting for a place since the restaurant on Idylwyld Dr. closed years ago. I hope they can get enough business with their location being a bit out of the way. It is well worth the drive!

Awesome food!. I've been working on a commercial space in the same plaza as pho. What started with me forgetting my lunch and trying out their food has ended with me eating there almost every day since. Everything tastes amazing and is ready quickly, the staff is friendly aswell. Greatly recommend checking this hidden gem out!

Can confirm, Pho is good. Pho broth had good flavour without being too salty. Generous portion sizes for meat and noodles. Dish came with all the accouterments like thai basil, sprouts, lime. This being said, I can confirm other reviews--- the Pho is good (great by Saskatoon standards)! <br/><br/>Besides the food, the restaurant was clean and the service above average. <br/><br/>No complaints. I will be eagerly returning for more of the Pho and to try other dishes on the menu.

Worth the effort to get there......you have to try the PHO!!!!. Pho Chau Thinh is.............. "All about that broth, 'bout that broth, no powder!" ..............nod to Meghan Trainor :)<br/><br/>I'm familiar with satay and curry and tom yum soups and wondered why people yearned for "good pho", what I considered would be a pretty boring soup given the broth looked so clear.........now that I've tried Pho Chau Thinh's pho I get it......... BIG TIME!!!! <br/><br/>What you get is an extremely tasty, delicate broth, noodles and your choice of protein with the bean sprouts, Thai basil and lime wedge on the side as to ensure maximum freshness. The flavours are delicious...subtle, varied, not at all like the heavier, slap you in the face flavours like satay or tom yum or hot and sour soups.<br/><br/>I spoke to one of the owners and he is very proud of the method he uses to prepare the broth from scratch rather than using a premix. He says he was surprised Saskatoon restaurants did not offer this type of menu, a niche he intends to fill. <br/>As another reviewer has stated, this place won't remain a secret very long

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Saskatoon. To me this is the best Viet food in Saskatoon. I like Bun Bo hue,Special beef noodle,Wonton soup ( taste better than any rest) Crispy fried noodle, vermincelli with spring roll n grilled pork, spring roll, cold roll, fried rice n rice with grilled pork with fried egg. The tea here is free n taste different than any other rest. It worth to try this restaurant. Trust me I won't let u down

Best noodle bowl in Saskatoon. My wife and I went for lunch to Pho Chau Thinh yesterday. The server was very friendly and my noodle bowl was one of the best that I've had in a long while. Everything in the noodle bowl--the spring roll, the meat, the sausage, the peanuts, veggies and noodles--was perfect. The spring roll was cooked to perfection. The cold rolls were good too. I highly recommend this place. It's much better than the Vietnamese restaurants downtown.

Delish, fresh and authentic!. This won't be a neighbourhood secret for long! Ask your server what their faves are - the flavours are all unique and really, really good. I'm so glad I can walk to this little gem from my house. The special soups are amazing, and their crispy noodle dish is sooooo good. As for the spring rolls, you can break one open and actually identify the ingredients! Really, really good.
