Ordered chicken and shrimp Shanghai noodles and deep fried chicken wings with Sichuan peppercorn. The food was amazing. I still crave the chicken wings. It had the right amount of spice and flavour. Would definitely go back just for this item again. I went around lunch time, 2pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was not busy. It was also very dirty. There were 4 other tables that were not cleaned. And one of the kitchen workers was sleeping on the seat of a table. Next time I will order take out.
A coworker and I ordered from skip the dishes. Delivery was prompt and friendly.
We ordered spring rolls, sizzling beef and beef fried rice.
I didn’t try the spring rolls. But they were short and fat. Looked like there was lots of meat.
Sizzling beef was very very good. Tender slices of beef with perfectly cooked veg. Fried rice was a little on the greasy side but tasty.
Spouse and I will definitely stop in to try some other items.
The food was excellent - very hot and fresh. I like the spice level - hot but not eye-wateringly hot. They have a great assortment of choices and a lot of them aren't typical westernized dishes which is pretty awesome. I couldn't give a 5 because the service wasn't excellent - the staff seemed too busy to check in so it was hard to get more drinks and get dishes removed. I liked the food enough that even with the service issues I'm planning to go back.

Oriental aroma easily has the best authentic Chinese food in Saskatoon. After living in Asia for over a year I came home to an abundance of Americanized Chinese food. Oriental aroma is the only restaurant in Saskatoon with their number saved in my phone. There braised beef, hot and sour soup and many variations on rice and noodle dishes including hot pot have restored my faith in Chinese food everywhere. Unfortunately like most restaurants oriental aroma has its flaws. Recently while there with a group of 12 people the food was loved but one thing they are definitely lacking in is their customer service. The dirty dishes pile around you as they continue to bring food without the removal of clutter. There is no refills of water and many of the workers seem almost nervous to come to your aid when you ask for service. The restaurants service has been bad enough for me to leave disappointed and frustrated on more then one occasion proving the old saying that its hard to find good help. Do yourself a favor and stop in or even better order for pick up and experience their great food for yourself.
The decor was bright and more chic than the outside might suggest. Service was friendly. We started with crab Rangoon, which were tasty and not too greasy. We shared the Szechuan shredded pork and spicy fish hotpot. Both were very good. Their dishes are quite photogenic. I would return to try other dishes,
Oh so tasty. The Salt and pepper squid tentacles were loaded with Garlic. And I LOVE garlic.
The soup was incredible.

My husband and I went to this beautiful restaurant on Friday. We always passed by but never came in. Friday is the first time we have been there. The food is very very delicious and traditional Chinese food. I strongly recommend those Green Beans, Sweet and Sour pork loins, and Tofu platter. The waitress was so so nice and helpful. She was patient and nicely talking, even though the restaurant was noisy that time. I really recommend this restaurant to you and will always come back!!!
Delicious!. My husband and I are what you might call regulars at Oriental Aroma. We simply love the food here! Some of our favorites are the green beans, chicken hotpot, sweet and sour pork loin, wonton soup, the hot hot hot pot and many others. Spicy, authentic, a bit more expensive than other places in town but the portion sizes and authenticity more than make up for that. Thank you for reviving the Chinese food in Saskatoon.
Best Chinese Restaurant ever. Me and my friends went here several times. Foods are always good and yummy, served very quickly. Love their green beans and hotpot. I'll give this restaurant 9.5 out of 10. Will revisit for sure.
Best Chinese Food in Saskatoon. I eat out a lot. I actually didn't have this place on my radar but through a series of circumstances my boyfriend and I ended up here. That was back in May. I am here for eat in or picking up take out( Iike tonight) at least once a month, often more. It is where I take friends from out of town when they tell me they want Asian. The service is ok, the dine in cleaner and more appealing than all of Asian restaurants I've been too in Saskatoon but the food is why I go. From the amazing hot and sour soup, black bean chicken, Kung pow shrimp, sizzling pork belly, schezuan beef etc. This is a long list, I could go on and on. I (and all of the people I've taken there) strongly recommend you visit.
