First of all, the decor is fabulous, mainly due to the yellow/black/white colour scheme. I had a mocha latte, which was very tasty. I also had a a few bites of a gluten-free peanut butter blondie, which I enjoyed immensely. I would revisit.
My favourite things here are the hall sandwich, the pop tarts, the peanut butter blondie, and the carrot cake. I rarely get the cakes because they are such large pieces though. Sometimes they have a kuchen which is also very good. I find the amount of filling in the hall sandwich varies greatly depending who’s prepared it, and for the price sometimes it leaves me feeling hungry. I do find their prices quite high but I just don’t go as often. I go there to treat myself.
Love the "coke floats" best thing ever for a hot afternoon pick me up. Also they make the best soups,salads, and sandwiches:) "Beets by Dre" Yumm!!! This Place is amazing for everyone!!
I love this place. I love the Sandwiches, Baked goods, Soup, Salads and even the simple drip coffee taste great. The staff has always been very friendly to me. Also Citizen Café & Bakery was the first place that I felt 100% comfortable breastfeeding in public in Saskatoon. Which is a big deal for me because not a lot of places make me feel as comfortable as Citizen.
The Pythagoras is amazing, it's a Mediterranean/Greek salad in a panini. Citizen Cafe has a nice atmosphere and good quality food. Nice space for a lunch meeting.
I love this place, delicious specialty coffees, amazing soups, salads and sandwiches! They have the best desserts and scones. mmmmmm! The one thing I disliked was that they microwaved their eggs in plastic dishes! Aside from that, I highly recommend this place!! The staff is always very friendly :)
This is a great place downtown for coffee and desserts. I haven't tried their food but I did have carrot cake and it was great. They always have a good selection of desserts. The coffee was super good and I love all the windows !
Went there for first time today and it was excellent! It was busy but wait was only a few minutes and food came very fast considering. Carrot cake is to die for!!
Recently tried their Pythagoras sandwich. It did not disappoint. The bread was the perfect amount of thickness and the veggies were very flavorful. I've had a few Mediterranean style sandwiches in the city, and Citizen's is by far my favourite. The side of chips was also a nice surprise
Great food + coffee AND child friendly!. I wanted to thank Citizen Cafe for the adorable children's corner they have set up in the coffee shop! (There is a chalkboard + chalk, a couple toys, and a child sized table with four little chairs.) I am a young mom and it was SUCH a treat to go out to a place where my 2 year old would have somewhere to sit and play, and where I could relax and visit with a friend while enjoying an amazing sandwich, a to-die-for caramel latte, and the very trendy atmosphere. I will definitely be back!
