Review Sideways Classic Grill - Sarnia

Great local place! Small, but cozy and not cramped. Super friendly staff and they even remembered us when went back the next night! Had fish and chips both nights because it was delicious! Can tell it is a local spot. Really nice atmosphere and good food. Plenty of TVs with various channels on, but not too loud so you can actually enjoy your conversations as well.

Love this place. Great vibe. Good good. The one waiter that always serves us is a beauty. Highly recommend. They made a very minor mistake with my food and they replaced, took it off the bill and gave us free dessert. Debatably the best bar food in town.

Re check # 437064-1 table #6 Jessica was our waitress and her service could not have been better. The food was wonderful but nothing enhances the food and the dining experience better than great service. Jess was personable, professional, efficient and more. Thanks Jessica, and we will be back,

Stopped in for dinner on a quiet night with the little ones.. Maybe not appropriate for ones with younger children (warning only bar chair seating) .. But waitress was more than nice to accommodate where she could. Got: fish n chips -- batter could be better but my 6yo son couldn't get enuf (so who's to say) Philly cheese sandwich -- tasty!! Quesadilla -- surprised how good it was... Ceasar (cocktail) -- very well executed and another standout. Overall Sideways is a friendly neighborhood bar with very good food.. Everyone including little ones all left happy...

First time as a patron of this restaurant. With the reviews seen I was disappointed it did not meet my expectations. The server was amazing! Acknowledged when we walked in for our pickup take out order, kept advising us how long it would take to completion. Asked if we wanted serviettes and cutlery - bonus! The Greek Viĺlage flatbread was not bad at all. Only disappointment olive pits were found, therefore, please check before eating or you may chip a tooth. Pad Thai was not exactly what I was looking forward to. Chicken was cut up perfectly, shrimp could have been cut in larger segments as it just looked like an after thought being thrown in in such tiny uneven pieces. Sauce was thin but not succulent that you wanted to devour your meal immediately. Others many like this place to eat, but I'd pass next time even though it was immaculately clean. Remember to support your local businesses during this difficult time.

Great place to come downtown for food. Ceaser salad is fantastic! Good menu and food was excellent. Sometimes odd music choices and music is very loud.

Burger was fantastic! Really done well, the meat was flavorful, lots of cheese, thick and juicy. The fries reminded me of new york fries, they were nice and crisp. The gravy was runny and not very good though, but the awesome burger and decent fries made up for it.

First time and we loved it! Love the pub like atmosphere. Food was fresh and really good! Loved the Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls and my fish! The burgers look incredible as well! Will definitley come back!

Went here last night with 6 of my friends for food and a drink, the first two ordered a water and the waitress refused to serve us. Admittedly we did have drinks before going to get a bite to eat but not enough to be treated with so much disrespect. When I approached the bartender the waitress made a scene coming up to me telling me to leave because she wasn't going to serve me any way. I won't be going back here, nobody deserves to be treated the way she treated all of us last night. Rude and disrespectful.

I placed a take out order today for my usual salt an pepper wings as well as lemon pepper parm. After getting home I realized my entire order was salt an pepper with parm thrown what was supposed to be the lemon pepper parm. When I called back to make them aware of the mistake, after some hesitation they offered to replace the wings. Which is all I wanted. The waitress then called me back to tell me the kitchen said the lemon pepper is saltier now... after hearing this excuse I was not pleased. It is clear there is no lemon zest that is in lemon pepper seasoning. If you make a mistake just own up to it, dont try an get out of fixing what was wrong.

We were all about this place when it first opened loved it !!! Been there since and the last few times not good at all !We just ordered the philly cheese brisket. Just awful !!! Drenched in bbq sauce meat was too fatty and kind of stringy .This is the 3rd time we’ve been dissatisfied regrettably it will be our last !! You guys have gotten lazy you don’t deserve our money I will not recommend ever again

Food is great. Great atmosphere and service. The wine list is less than adaquate . Pathetic choices with nothing offered better than the lowest priced wines available. The wine list in a restaurant should be as important as the menu.

This was our first time here and we came to laugh with friends while we enjoyed some food and drink. Unfortunately, neither one of the two wait staff bothered to return to our table to inquire about additional drinks (which we would have gladly ordered)....And when my girlfriend went up to the bar to ask, she had an open hand put in her face and was told to "shush" and "wait a minute" because the waitress was too busy at that moment. So from the time we got there and throughout our meal, we each had one beverage....1 red wine, a ginger ale and a water. I was driving, so I had the ginger. My other two girlfriends wanted to enjoy a couple more wine/beers but the waitress completely ignored us. Sadly, I don't think I will return personally. First experience was awful. What I experienced and witnessed was terrible.

Good food,good beverages and great staff! We had a little wait to get a table but no biggie. Had three young ladies looking after our table and enjoyed our experience.

This is one of my favourite spots in sarnia. Always amazing food. I've never had something I haven't liked. Awesome drinks too. I recommend sideways to everyone.

Amazing value for your money. Philly brisket sandwich was delicious and had double the meat I expected. Several creative offerings like Asian "nachos" and spicy Thai chicken poutine. Friendly service too. Only small complaint was the noisy atmosphere. But I was able to overlook that.

We went to Sideways for the first time last night and the food and service was great! We had the Won Ton Nachos then I had the classic Burger and my husband had the Pulled Pork sandwich....all was excellent as were the fries.... We will definitely be back again👌

Excellent service. People were in and out and then turned the tables over very quickly and efficiently. My margarita's were delicious.

Always a good time and great food. Servers are great!
