In my travels, this is by far the most impressive. I've been to the top and throughout this cathedral and was in awe. I have been back after the fire and always take the boat ride down the river to see the renovation progress. I will be back in May to see the progress. I love this building. It's May and I'm back to visit the cathedral it's still incredible and the construction is moving along. I can't believe the skill and technology that's required to put this building back together. I admire the technical skills required by all involved.

Notre Dame Cathedral Paris. There is no doubt that this place is beautiful and worth visiting. Tickets are not required unless you want to climb up the tower. We enjoyed the cathedral and the surrounding area. Beautiful architecture, history and art. The birds provided a lot of entertainment for us, including my two-year-old daughter. We were lucky. Fortunately, the cathedral was closed the following day due to a gun shooting.

Beautiful and Serene, we took the subway to reach here. This was still closed for public and we were able to click pictures only from outside compound. Spent an evening here looking at the majestic architecture and the boats travelling down the seine river. Lots of local options to eat or drink nearby. Pretty crowded during the day and weekends, recommended not to drive. Do visit the nearby iconic Shakespeare’s Book store.

Work of restoration is going on. Brave French firefighters entered the cathedral during the fire of 2019, now every stone, every statue, every piece of wood that was only partly burned has been labeled, analyzed, and is being restored. The cathedral is due to be opened in 2024. Be warned however - even though you can't enter the cathedral and there is fencing all around the crowds this summer are literally shoulder to shoulder. I expect when the Cathedral of Notre-Dame opens it will be worse. I would shoot for fall of 2025 to have space to enjoy Paris's greatest cathedral. ( One star deducted for the enormous crowds).

Absolutely magnificent building. Historical piece of architecture with beautiful sculptures and shapes. It's such a shame it has been treated the way it was. Even during renovations it's a sight to see and one of the most famous buildings in the world. A sight to see for sure!

On of the most popular places in Paris with a reach history. Now, it’s going a reconstruction of Notre Dame after a fire, so you can’t go inside and much is hidden behind construction stuff. But, good to walk around.

I was amazed by the fact that even though this amazing Unesco building burned down, there was a lot of people looking at it. It was as beautiful as I expexted, sadly it's now closed so we couldn't see it from inside. We took a boat trip to see Notre-Dame from different angles and here's what we saw:

I am so glad that I got the chance to see Notre Dame before the devastating fire in April 2019. Words cannot describe what an impressive work of art this church is both inside and out. I am so happy I have photos of the Spire that was completely destroyed in the fire. It is such a wonderful memory. Watching the news and seeing how the work is ongoing to bring the church back is such a labour of love. I am hoping though, that they do not change the make changes to the church as I heard there was talk about having modern updates made. Thankfully none of the stained glass was seriously damaged from the fire. The new spire is supposed to be in place this by the end of this year and the restorations are supposed to be completed by Dec. 2024. The gargoyles were so impressive. We are looking forward to going back and seeing the restorations and how the church will look in comparison to how it was. I hope that the Notre Dame exhibits of the construction project will remain after the church is opened again. It will be a testament to all the work that was done.

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit many moons ago before the tragic fire in April of 2019. I was both awestruck and humbled by the beauty of this place. I thought it was beyond stunning and I fell in love with its symbolism and history. I was not aware at the time construction actually began in 1163!! I am hoping it actually reopens in conjunction with the timeline which is scheduled for Spring of 2024. If you ever find yourself in Paris, it goes without saying you simply must visit Notre-Dame! Loved it and highly recommended!

12 years ago I was here for the first time and the last. I found the Notre Dam breathtaking. Now I was there after the devastating fire in 2019. It was shocking to see how much has been destroyed. In fact, only the facade is still standing.
