I had a cinnamon one which just came out from the oven. I asked the owner what would be good to go with and he said best to eat it plain. And he is right! It was gooey and a bit chewy inside. It's not a fancy dessert yet it's very delicious.

Wow we are long overdue for a post update. Had a busy summer but hope to have more regular updates in the next couple of weeks. We tried Damien’s for the first time after passing by it many times. They are located near the Steveston Village, but at the quieter section without all the tourists. They specialize in many flavors of Belgian Waffles, some flavors which are Japanese inspired since one of the owners is Japanese.
Waffles don't look like much but they are delicious & filling, with the fruit on the side and whip cream it made it perfect. Great place to come down in the morning for a Belgium waffle.
Great small family run business that passionately produces tasty waffles. We enjoyed the breakfast waffles that included two waffles, freshly cut fruit, whip cream and a fresh pressed coffee. All made on the spot to ensure freshness and enjoyed at its fullest potential. No line up which was a bonus!
A week or two ago, Phil & I decided to go to Steveston for brunch. Randomly we saw this little waffle joint on the side and decided to switch up our brunch idea for some waffles. Their sign is not massive so its easily missed. They have reserved spots right in front for specifically their customers only. Lucky enough, there were spots available. When we got there, we were the only customers. Their interior was very bright and their color choices are very bold. They've got bright yellow walls on one side and bright orange on the other. Their choice of wall paintings/art were very unique as well. Right when you step foot into this place, it smells AMAZING. They have several choices of flavour to choose from. I visit Steveston very often but never noticed the existence of this little delicious waffle cafe. They have a small sign that is easily to miss. This place is owned by a loving couple- husband makes the waffles and wife handles customer service. They offer variety flavours of regular sized and mini waffles. Mini waffles comes in 8 per package. They are frozen, so you have to make it at home. I ordered 6 regular sized waffles and loved them so much! The waffles are so chewable and the flavour is richly mixed into it. My favourites are matcha, maple, and white & milk chocolate! I will definitely visit more often because it is delicious and super affordable! However, the downside is they do not have too many seats, so it's better for people to buy it and go.
Delicious Waffles. The store doesn't look like much from the outside plus the interior is a small storefront and a big kitchen where they make the goodies.
Bought a box of 8 waffles of various kinds and shared it with family and they all agreed that the waffles were really tasty and would like the try the other flavors next time they head down to Steveston pier
AMAZING WAFFLES!!. Really nice couple owns and operates this place, the waffle selection is sooooo good!! This is the closest I have had to Waffles I ate day and night in Brugge Belgium!! A must do if your are in the Steveston area, take some to go.... Cheaper by the dozen!!!

Damien's has been on my to-try list for a while, so this afternoon I went all the way to Steveston to grab a few liege waffles to take home. The place is somewhat difficult to find since it's located in the corner of a small strip mall with a modest sign that says "Real Belgian Waffle". I had expected to see "Damien's" in large font, so I passed by without noticing the store. The storefront is relatively bare apart from the waffles sitting behind the glass display, but the inviting aroma of freshly made waffles more than compensates for the lack of decor. The menu is simple. A regular waffle is $2.50 and a chocolate waffle is $2.75. The price is cheaper for a box of 6, 8, 10 or 16, and each chocolate waffle costs 25 cents extra. I picked up a box of 6 for tasting purposes. I'm usually reluctant to buy a large box of something I haven't tried before, but now I wish I had bought a box of 10 or 16 instead...
