Review Yu Fei Yu Roast Fish - Richmond

I went with a large group of people. We had reservation and when we arrived we were seated upstairs right away. The server was attentive throughout our time there and changed our plates many times. The seafood tasted really good and fresh! They don't deep fried the fish which I preferred as this way would truly reveal whether the fish is fresh or not. All dishes are very well presented! I also like their fresh fruit tea. Overall very good experience and will definitely come back again!

Came here on Saturday around 8:30pm and the restaurant wasn't too busy. The decorations look nice and classy. We ordered fish and some side dishes. The service was on the slow side, we waited approximately 30 mins before the fish was served. We had the house special chili sauce with cod. The portion was adequate and flavor was good too. Price is $$ but reasonable for its food quality.

Great eating experience! The grilled fish are so tasty! I went there with my girlfriend. We ordered a house special flavour fish. My gf likes spicy food, however, I don’t like, but that taste satisfied both of us. Amazing! We also ordered a fried rice which is the best fried rice I have ate in Vancouver, worth to try!

This is probably the best roast fish I have had in Vancouver. We came on a Thursday for lunch, the restaurant was not busy. It took about 30 mins wait for the dish to come. The owner kindly explained that the reason why it took so long is because they didn't deep fry the fish. And to roast a whole fish, 20-30 mins are reasonable time. The fish was very tender and flavorful. Service was very good, they even gave us free drinks. Highly recommended!

There is nothing good about this place other than the setting. We booked a 19:00 table and arrived at 19:00, and was told we needed to wait a bit. To spare the details, we got seated after 45 minutes, while other groups (same number of ppl) with later reservasions got in before us ( we did remind them several times but that didn't do anything ). That was okay if the food was fine. But besides the (some may consider) over priced items, their speciality fish pot was not exactly fresh, and tasted like the cook used 5x of inteded salt amount. We immediately asked to return it, the server asked to take it back to the kitchen and have the cook examine it... we politely agreed albeit the unreasonable request. 5 minutes later the manager came over and said the fish tasted fine and was made exactly as instructed. Well.. the dish tasted so bad we asked for refund and not to bring it back, but the manager only agreed to give us a discount. When we asked for the bill, we saw the discount was 20%, for a dish we only tried a few bites. We asked the manager again, he said it's the best he could do (nope), and we had almost finished the dish already (wrong). He said he already packed the dish for us (like are we supposed to be thankful for them to pack a dish we dispite and pay 80% for?); and that we needed to wait that long because another group came in late and ordered something that took a long time to cook (so we were supposed to cover for someone elses fault?). At the end we (only) managed to have him take out a $17 water melon juice from the bill (*slightly* overpriced, right?). Will never go or recommend any friend.

This restaurant is a very famous brand in China. The taste is just as same as the tastes in China even better. I guess it may because of the seafood is more fresh here in Vancouver compare with in China. Not only the fish, the oyster and mussel are also delicious, highly recommended!

Great food great price. The waitress very friendly and willing to talk to us about anything on the menu. Fancy takeout box!! Definitely recommend 👍

I went to this restaurant with my mom and her friend. The food was delicious, especially its renowned roast fish. Clean, modern interior decor and comfortable amount of space between tables. The service was also friendly and responsive. In addition, the location is convenient which you can find parking easily and there is a great variety of dishes and beverages to choose from. I highly recommend this place to anyone and I definitely will come again.
