First time having dim sum & I can see why people rave about dim sum in Richmond so much haha. Came here with my good friends family for a Christmas Day breakfast & left happy & full! Shouts out to the cool manager who paid special attention to our table! Personal favorite items would be the beef short ribs, shu mai & BBQ pork. Found the fried dough dessert kind of underwhelming, but then again I never liked sweets too much. Honourable mentions to chicken feet & their pork buns; former tasted surprisingly good & the latter gave New Town a run for their $ (no small feat). All in all, a wholly satisfactory dine-out experience/dim sum tutorial. 👍
There are lots of different dim sum restaurants across town but we like to try different places – which explains how we wound up at Royal Seafood Restaurant in Richmond. It’s located on the 2nd floor of the Garden City Shopping Centre mini mall located at the corner of Blundell and Garden City Road.
One of the best places I have visited in Vancouver. The service was amazing! The staff very friendly and fast, a great experience. The food was outstanding! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! The food is just amazing.
Didn't know this place became a Chinese restaurant until a friend told me. It used to be a ballroom hall. Have yet to try dinner here but dim sum is not bad at all. Prices are average and dim sum dishes come hot and fresh. Usually don't need to wait for a table and there is ample parking. It is a nice and comfortable space but air conditioning is not very high and can get stuffy. Pay your bill before 11 am and get 20% off!
My family always go for morning dimsums during the weekend. We always pass by Garden City and noticed there's a dim sum restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Garden City Plaza. One day we decided to give it a try! Surprisingly this place had no line up and we were directed to our seats right away. I love the fact how they are not fully packed because I hate waiting for a table. If you are in the centralized areas of Richmond, such as Aberdeen Centre, you are bound to wait in line. The interior was much nicer than I expected. The seats were covered in seat covers and they also had a little water, flower display up front that looked pretty fancy.
