Loved the experience and the service was excellent! :)
I hope you’re not tired of this by now but the bubble tea adventures continue! This time our stop was one of the Happy Lemon chain locations. I’ve seen Happy Lemon around before but I’ve never tried it out because I’m so loyal to GongCha. As mentioned in it’s name, Happy Lemon specializes in lemon based beverages from lemon teas to slushes.
I’d heard some good things about this place, but with the proximity, prevalence, and ease of hitting up a Chatime for their roasted milk tea, it is difficult to find a time to try other bubbletea places. This was that chance to try it. I had the milk tea with cream puff and pearls, and it was not bad. The cream puff is like a custard that sits at the bottom of the cup. The pearls were a good size and consistency, but Gong Cha (located across the street) had better pearls. I would come back for the cream puff and milk tea.
I’m a pretty big fan of the foam/cream top for bubble tea, so I was pretty excited when I found out that Happy Lemon offers Salted Cheese top for their drinks!. It’s definitely an acquired taste for some, but I loved it! It was like drinking a cheesecake. What we drank: Green Tea with Salted Cheese ($4.90) and Milk Tea with Salted Cheese ($5.20)
Tasty drinks. I like their selection. The Lemon Tea was worth the price. You can save more during the Happy hour deal they have going on rightnow.
Have heard great things about this franchise from Asia. Went to check out the new Richmond location during grand opening weeks and the service wasn't spectacular. Person at the till was slow and inexperienced. Was not offered the stamp rewards card first time around..second time I went I had to ask for it.
Bubble tea was not bad. Comparable to other places. Oreo Milk Tea is pretty good. Find they don't top up the cups though. Love how they are environmentally friendly and use biodegradable plastic bags. Parking is difficult as it is located on No.3 road. You have to park at the mall and walk over.
My favorite milk tea brand, love the puff cream and orea series. Very fresh and have real taste, first time I tried the purple taro fresh milk and it really surprised me!!! Try it out
Ordered the Taro Milk Tea w/ Pearls. Tasted like there was coconut milk? added. I loved the flavour but others may not. Will definitely come back sometime
I came for the 【taro fresh milk】 on their seasonal menu. Overall, it feels like a deluxe version of the regular taro milk tea served at similar places. It has the generic taro jam, but also fresh taro balls and smashed taro, both of which are high quality ingredients. The blend of fresh milk and taro creates a satisfying visual effect as well.
Dropped by to try out their new products and it was amazing! The watermelon tea salted cheese is very refreshing. It's perfect on a hot day. The golden kiwi ice tea is my new favourite. Can definitely taste the kiwi in the drink! Lime mojito ice tea is for people who love sour-sweet drink. Just the right amount of soir but not too sour!!
Bubble waffle is good. I also like their Lemon kumquat drink. They are now providing paper straw for bbt, but the paper straw is not strong enough to poke through the plastic seal 😅

ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕤:
🧇 ultra crispy
🧇 aromatic
🧇 not greasy
🧇 good value when ordered with a drink (but I opted out the drink 😅)
ℂ𝕠𝕟𝕤:
🧇 The buttery or custard flavor tasted artificial. it’s almost like having margarine spread instead of butter.
🧇 it has a lot of fluff inside when u break the bubble apart, but the mouth feel isn’t there
𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬:
🧇 great waffle. I’d say top three in Vancity? (This could change. Still gotta Juice King)
