It was a lazy night for us so we drove out craving for fish and chips. We ended up at White Spot on No 3 road, the one located in the Price Smart strip mall. Normally the parking lot would be packed if you were coming on a weekend with people going to Price Smart and the BC Liquor store, but tonight it was quiet and peaceful with plenty of parking stalls available.
Two crisp tortillas were filled with mushrooms, fresh spinach, three cheeses, green onions, scrambled eggs, and chorizo sausage. The filling wasn’t uniformly hot, the cheese and spinach was warm but the eggs were colder. The cilantro in the sour cream was quite subtle so I enjoyed it.
○decent service
○good food
○convenient location / Richmond center
○decent price
○family friendly
○if I had to choose 1 dish : tuna Tataki salad
○would i go back ? Maybe good service
It is my mom’s second Canadian Thanksgiving. Not wanting to cook tons of food for only 2 of us this year, we still want to have a classic thanksgiving dinner. Naturally I took her to White Spot. She was very curious since she’d never been to North American style diner. Besides picking the Roast Turkey Dinner for the occasion, we also notice the new 50/50 Burgers on their menu. Each Burger featured a 1/3 lb patty that is made with 50% premium Canadian beef and 50% double-smoked bacon, which sounds lethally delicious. I know mommy probably needs to eat a bit healthier, but I think for such a occasion, half of a much leaner Roast Turkey dinner kind of compensates half of the bacon-beef hybrid burger!
Just a comment about their hash browns, er 'SMASHBROWNS'. Delicious! Never cared much for breakfast until I discovered White Spot's take on brekkie potatoes... now in addicted. ;-) Also, their fresh blueberry pie (comes in individual tart-like servings), are truly refreshing with huge blueberries and easy on the sugar. Think it's seasonal though. This Ackroyd location has exceptional service - food is ordered fast and correctly.
Great, friendly staff. I often come to the Ackroyd Whitespot for dinner, and the staff are very friendly and the food always great. They always cater to my requests
Both the menu items + the decor for white spot has impressively undergone a facelift after all these years. the no.3 road & ackroyd location is nice and cozy now. their monte mushroom burger is still yummy after all these years. the pot pie is also a fave. as a healthy alternative, they even have gluten-free pasta now.

Was at the one down the street from this one but it's not on the list
Great Breakfast Service. I frequently go here for breakfast, the manager and staff are always really friendly and nice. Consistent White Spot food, but staff make this one.
Good and fast friendly service. The price is comparable. Tried the new chicken salad and it was good. Love that they have bottomless French fries.
Very middle of the road. Menu is a little fat-heavy and everything is sauce and mayo-loaded, but there are reasonably good do dietary options. Shame they don't show nutritional info on the website, in this day and age. Clean, decent service, fine for kids.
The baby back ribs with tennessee whiskey sauce was delicious! The Tennessee Whiskey was subtly spicy, sweet, and tangy. The meat was juicy and flavourful, with a substantial amount of meat on the bone
White Spot is a place to go for me (amongst all the Western chain restaurants) whenever I feel like eating Western food in Richmond. I prefer it more than Boston Pizza. They have this promotion going on with their baby back ribs and I really wanted to try it! The last time I had baby back ribs was years ago… I had the Half Rack Baby Back Ribs and Blackened Roast Chicken ( $18.99). It also came with a side of Caesar Salad, coleslaw, and unlimited fries. You can choose the sauce for the ribs as well and I got the Tennessee Whiskey. The Caesar Salad was a little bit too overdressed and I really did not care too much about it. Coleslaw was delicious– crunchy and just right and I love finding bit of sunflower seeds in there. The ribs was pretty good. It was moist and I loved the sauce! It was tangy and had a kick (which I enjoyed a lot). I even dipped my fries on it. The blackened chicken breast was meh . It was just with Cajun seasoning and the meat was on the dry side. I should’ve gone wi
It's Pirate Pak Day! Everytime I come to White Spot, I always secretly want a pirate pak, but unfortunately since I am much older than the age limit, I would need to borrow a child in order to do so…however on this very special day, adults were able to relive their childhood and get a pirate pak of their own! White Spot was also donating $2 of every pak sold to charity Marv, his sister and I made our way to White Spot to join in on this 1 day/year event. After a long wait, and an even longer wait for the food, it finally arrived! Unfortunately we were missing the coleslaw on each order. I have to admit, this place was quite a mad house! There were boats coming/going in every direction! The burger was solid as it normally is. For our ice cream, we each went with a different flavour, chocolate and strawberry were pretty generic. The vanilla on the otherhand had a nice vanilla bean taste to it. I enjoyed this flavour the most! Marv and his sis
Suanne has a big collection of coupons like you never believe. She clips coupons from the papers diligently and stashes it in her small drawer. So we get a lot of them. Some of them are sent directly from businesses to us with the hope that we will write
A huge amount of food providing exactly what you’d expect. You get so much food for your order, I should have just split something it was so much.
The burger was very flavorful. The gravy in the poutine was super tasty as well! Overall it exceeded my expectations and assumptions that I had when originally heading it. A great spot for some lunch!
We celebrate Ed's birthday at White Spot (Ackroyd), it's a wonderful dining experience..We ordered 1 hot chicken salad to share with, it's fresh and tasty. We also shared a full portion of rib and it's delicious 😋..Ed had a burger and Frank had a seafood pasta..they all liked it.
Great place for burgers. Happy hour is from 2-5pm. Got the squid for $10 and drinks. The service was fast and the waitresses were very friendly. Burgers were juicy and delicious!
It's been a while since I've gone to White Spot since their quality had been going down in all their branches. We went recently and definitely saw a great improvement! All of the food was hot, fries and zoo sticks were not soggy or cold. Only complaint was the appetizer, wish they kept the sauce separate from the squid.
