Been here two days in a row because that’s how great my first experience was. The egg Bennys and fried chicken waffle is definitely a must try . I wouldn’t recommend the steak. It was on the chewy side and pretty bland. The French toast was pretty dry, would have been a lot better if it was soaked in butter milk ! I would definitely suggest going on the weekday to avoid the crowd and receive better service . The patios are open and are pet friendly! Pet friendly places are just happier places :) oh and it’s the restaurant that “ once upon a time” was filmed at!

I have to admit we came two days in a row to this little jewel in Richmond ❤️ you can't do any wrong, the waiters are more than nice and very friendly, we immediately felt welcome 😊 as you can see on the pics, the food not only looks delicious, but also tastes that way 🥳 can only recommend to come here if you are around. Only a little liiiittlleee advise, you should take a bit more caution regarding the rest rooms... But that's nothing to serious at all in this case, I would call it the only thing I could criticize.

This is a cute little cafe in the heart of Steveston that serves something for everyone, from hot chocolate to red wine, there’s something for everyone. They also have a wall of fame as this cafe was used in the filming of “Once Upon a Time” which is really cool to see if you’re a fan of the show or just want to experience a piece of local Hollywood. Food wise, the portions are good, flavours are decent, and I would recommend coming here for a brunch if you’re in the area. If you’re expecting five star dining style food, you won’t get that, but you’ll still get really good service and a cozy spot to eat while you take a break from exploring the village.

Impressed! Wow!!! Not only is the food here presented beautifully, but it's tastes so fresh, real, satisfying, and warm :) . The fried chicken was juicy, crisp on the outside, and not too salty in a good way. It worked so well with maple syrup on the waffle. Sweet and salty perfection and the chicken thighs were deboned too so it was easy to eat. The orzo paella also tasted like spaghetti o's so it was kinda of nostalgic and it comes with the Cutest little yogurt parfait with a mint leaf. Goods portions. French toast is unique in that its less eggy and buttery here but the bread is nice dense and thick. Like a less heavy French toast. I like the ambiance here too. Quite cozy.

If you've ever watched Once Upon A Time, then you will know that this quaint restaurant is known as Granny's Cafe in the show! We stopped by here for brunch and although they do not accept reservations on the weekend, we arrived around 12:45P and there was a table readily available. Every item we tried was indicated as their "Best Sellers" with this emoji; 😍. Items we ordered to share; GRANNY'S CHOWDER There was a handful of clams in the chowder. Overall flavor was good and was served in a bread bowl. In my personal opinion, I feel like you lose portion amounts when a chowder is served in a bread bowl. Still good. BREAKFAST PAELLA This paella had Bavarian sausage, veggies, served with a sunny side up egg & a bed of fresh salad. The flavor was very tomato-y, something I'm not accustomed to when eating paella, so that was a bit new to me. The presentation was very nice, it was served on a wooden paddle and came with toasted bread & yogurt. Unsure if it was my fave dish. FRIED CHICKEN & WAFFLES This was probably my favorite dish! The chicken was well season and so juicy. Cooked to perfection. The dish is served on a soft waffle (a little sweet in my opinion), poached egg topped with fresh salad, hollandaise sauce & syrup. I asked for the sauces to be on the side (this is just a personal preference). ROSE TEA LATTE The drink was good, nothing extremely special, but presentation was very pretty! MIMOSA They only have one flavor, which is orange. I think this drink lacked alcohol, you could barely taste the alcohol. Presentation: Pretty Food: Overall it was decent and I would like to come back and try their other menu items. Service: Good Parking: If you're lucky you may get a spot nearby. But in general, Steveston is just a busy area. Reservations: Yes, but not on weekends.
