Review Richmond Japanese Sushi - Richmond

Florence Dais
Based on other reviews, I went here with high hopes but unfortunately the sushi quality was subpar. Thankfully, other items on the menu were more around the quality and taste you’d expect. For the all you can eat lunch menu, the price is actually better than you can get most places. There is no sashimi included in the lunch menu which is completely fair given the price. Service is reasonable and the atmosphere is fine for a lunch or dinner out with friends/family. Maybe it was just an off experience for me, but if the sushi quality increased to even average, this restaurant would be more than worth experiencing.

Friend and I came here excited to eat lots of sushi but boy, we were in for a surprise. We ordered a few rolls for round 1, around 35, and were presented with half of what we wrote down. They notified us 40 minutes before closing time that they had no more food written down for us. We let them know what we were missing from round 1 and specified that we did not order round 2 yet but would like that. Prior to this, the sheet that had our orders on disappeared after the staff took it. The rest of our round 1 food came fairly quickly and we asked to order round 2, in which the server declared that we said we did not want round 2. We mentioned that we did not mean that and wanted 6 more rolls to try. She walked over to a coworker and quite loudly talked to them about us in a condescending way. My friend and I both speak Cantonese so we understood every word they said, which made us uncomfortable and we just wanted to leave. Experience aside, the food quality is what you pay for. The hand cones barely have any filling but is stuffed with rice. Food comes quick so that's one upside. There are 3 stalls and 3 sinks in the women's washroom, yet only 1 sink worked. Although my fault for not checking beforehand, I had used a stall that had a broken lock. It did not hold and I had to do my business while holding onto the door for dear life, in fear that somebody would walk in and see me hunched over the toilet. Overall, I would not recommend visiting.

LATE night AYCE starts at 8:45pm . Great value !

Very kind and attentive service for AYCE sushi. Quite an expansive menu with over 100 menu items to choose from for all you can eat. You literally get a bit of everything from hand rolls, most types of sashimi, udon, tempuras, short ribs, and even grilled beef tongue. I highly recommend the SWEET YAM STRIP. It's like a fried mochi with the best texture (a combo of Chinese long donut flavour and mochi texture) Impressed with the quality given that it's all you can eat. Much better than the average AYCE sushi joint but then again, not the finest made sushi either, but hey, it's all you can eat and still comparable to some sushi restaurants. They don't give fillers or rice bricks to fill you up here, it's the real deal. Around 40 bucks gets you the full comprehensive menu and soda pop was only $1.25 a can which is pretty good for restaurant drink prices. Would come back.

All you can eat. Three menus $27, $34 or $41. Good for the price!

The food was okayyyy at best. Salmon sushi pre made and rice was really not appetizing. Staff was nice and only saving grace..... Also my coke was delicious.

It was fast food serving time before they got busy. Server was kindly not as another review . Quality was good enough as all you can eat restaurants. As not much opportunity to have AYCE sushi in Vancouver so I hope they keep going to business well .

Great value, good service, quick and lots of selections

My boyfriend is from here and was raving about the sushi of vancouver so we decided to have the late night sushi which is basically an all you can eat sushi deal for 14 CAD which was a sweet deal however the server especially the manager was so rude! We got to the restaurant 10 and was told they close at 11 which I said was ok. Around 10:20 which was only minutes after they have served some of our orders they already told us they need to get our last order as the kitchen was closing 😡 so we told them we were told they will close by 11 not 10:20 and the manager raised his voice and his english was so bad and said no you were told at the door so I said yes and they said 11 and he said no you should’ve been told the 10:30. It was such a bad experience. Go somewhere else if I were you.

my family's go to for AYCE sushi. been going here for as long as i can remember, so the owners practically know us. service is great, and sushi is good !

We have been to this restaurant before & didn’t find the food to be anything better than food court quality in a mall but thought we’d stop in on our way to pick up family at YVR as we didn’t have a great deal of time to search out a decent restaurant. Arrived at 6:25, table for 2 & 1/2 ( 1 1/2yo grandson in tow)... was told there would be a 20 wait, not bad decided to wait. 6:50-ish found out there was a party of 73 arriving on a tour bus...not seated until 7:35...we were shown to an empty table, no menus, no waitress...”sit there” ...7:45 stood up and left as no one had even ventured near our table. Choose for yourself, busy yes, even worse service. Won’t be going back under any circumstances. Done.

Richmond Sushi is a very large but busy Japanese restaurant located in Union Square (slightly north of Aberdeen Centre). It is said to be one of the best Japanese AYCE restaurants in Greater Vancouver. Their menu is extensive compared to other Japanese AYCE restaurants. As such, they have a slightly higher price point

From Hero to Zero

I used to frequent Richmond Sushi for the past 20 years (ever since they have opened). I am no stranger to all-you-can-eat sushi. I know (and accept) the quality would not be the same as an a-la-carte restaurant. Having said that, this place used to be my favorite due to the value (quality, variety, vs price paid).

Since then, prices have steadily increased, and quality has steadily decreased. They have gradually removed a lot of the good items (starting from the chicken knee, to the negitoro cone, to the chicken wings), and have decreased the quality markedly.

The fish quality is very poor and small pieces now (almost feels like its end cuts). There is hardly any filling inside the cones, and overall, the cooked food is bland and has tastes reheated.

I almost feel that there has been a change of ownership to warrant such dreastic measures (even in the past 6 months, quality has dropped tremendously). However, I still see many of the same staff and management there, so maybe they are just getting tired of running this place.

On an unrelated note, their hot pot establishment (Top Gun Hot Pot) used to be my favorite, but even its quality has run downhill to the point I no longer go there.

I maintain that there are many better choices in this competitive dining environment. I understand they are trying to profit maximize, and customers vote with their wallet. But their cost minimization has come to a point where it is far from acceptable to me.

Wish I could give it a better review, despite it being one of my favorite AYCE sushi places. Hope it can be resurrected to its glory. But given what has transpired over the past 20 years, I am doubtful.

Came here for dinner and the waiter didn't feel like talking at all. When I asked "how much is the annual fee", he didn't respond either. Nobody showed up and checked on us while we were eating. However all the waitresses were quite friendly to the Caucasian customers, several stopped by and talked to the white guy sitting next to us. The food is good but not the service, at least to Asians.

Nasty the worst sushi place I have ever been all the fish is farmed fish. This place is the grossest place I have ever eaten I was forcing the food down. Ended up getting pizza on the way home

Haven't been here in about 4 years. I used to go all the time since they first opened. Went in tonight for AYCE dinner and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. Some friends of mine who were also regulars here had told me that they had experienced a couple of poor quality dinners and had sworn the place off. As Richmond Sushi is kind of off the main bus route, it was just easier for me to go to another AYCE sushi restaurant. After about 4 years, the manager recognized me the moment I walked in, we had a table within 5 minutes and noticed many changes in the dinner menu.Started out with the usual sashimi, nigiri sushi and rolls - all good. Only issue was a loosely wrapped dynamite roll that fell apart the instant I picked it up.Tried out a number of new-to-me menu items like the deep fried scallops, shrimp bombs, and other items I can't name right now. Got an order of Beef short ribs - absolutely wonderful! - best I've ever had - ordered 2 more! The wait staff were very attentive. A couple of orders got lost in the kitchen but were quickly brought to the table when we asked about them. All in all, an excellent meal, well worth the cost, service was good. Nothing really to complain about. Don't know what put my friends off, but didn't see anything that would cause me not to come back in the future. In fact, I'm looking forward to going back again soon!

Sorry another real stinker. Was there for lunch the other day as i was in the area and was in a hurry. I should have walked out as the place at around 12:45 had very few people in it. Absolutely with out any doubt the worst (can't call it sushi) I have ever had. I have lived in the lower mainland for over 12 years and this place takes the cake....but they would probably ruin a cake as well. Service was good but pretty much all the food was terrible. I suspect they are trying to cater to us non-Asians and can think they can get away with it. I will never darken the door way again....I recommend you go down the way in the plaza and but raw turnip and it it first before you waste you time money and stomach on this place....sorry it was awful.

I'm always forced to eat here with my family because they like their geoduck... but me? It's very mediocre and very expensive for an AYCE place. Don't expect good service here when coming in for dinner.. because it's always busy. I understand that there aren't any better ayce places around here... so we all gotta stick with what we have.
Ben And Suanne
Initially, he wanted AYCE from Ninkazu but we could not find a parking spot. So, we went with our plan B, Richmond Sushi. When I looked back at the archive of chowtimes.com, Richmond Sushi was one of the very early post. We have not come back as a family but Nanzaro had revisited it several times.

If we could rate to infinity and beyond..I would! I've been a loyal customer for 15 yrs omg! This ain't your average sushi place! Each and everytime service is great. Ray and Danny and all the staff here put the rest of the sushi restaurants to shame. They know customers by name..are always smiling and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure food is served hot and fast. The salmon sashimi just melts in your mouth, my favorite is the salmon tempura..salmon is moist under that light crisp batter, love the sound of that crunch in each bite! Motoyaki oysters, a must ! not too oily, a big bite of oyster in a creamy sauce , I could probably eat a dozen! Chicken udon...broth is hot and so tasty. The beef ribs..so tender and juicy straight off the grill. Ahhh the prawn tempura..my fav! I could list the full menu..but you should go experience this food for yourself! I always have the mango and coconut pudding...just the right amount of sweetness to finish off the meal. You will leave, as a very satisfied customer and a happy belly, and will continue coming here and sharing the experience with all your friends and family. I've had many friends and family gatherings here..they have a private room with huge round tables! Just ask Ray,and he'll take care of you! Table for 10@7pm please!

• been here numerous times for all you can eat for lunch
• they open early for lunch and place gets filled up quite fast
• place is ok, clean enough but not thoroughly clean. You can see their dish basket is kinda old and I'm not sure if there's mold or mildew in it?
• fast service & food delivery but your orders can get mistaken for other people's
• menu: the usual that you can find in any other sushi restaurants. if you want sashimi or tempura, you have to add extra $ (the usual)
• ample parking but can get busy around this area and it'll get busier once more condos are built
• tea cups might need to be changed as they are stained for a while
• I think this is one of those non authentic Japanese place, I mean not operated by Japanese folks. You can simply tell (ambiance, staff and their demeanor

Don't waste your time and money. Food mediocre and not fresh, service is fine and quick. We tried some rolls. Spicy tuna smelt like stale fish and tasted rotten. Salmon was old as well. NY steak skewers tasted like whatever fat was cutoff real steaks was served at Richmond sushi. It's a shame, otherwise a brilliant business concept - serve 4.5 dollars worth of food for 25 bucks, just hope for no food poisoning. Never again.

Great service, and good food! The desserts are awesome: tapioca pudding; coconut pudding; and mango pudding - all yummy!!!

The sockeye sashimi is fresh & is really all-you-can-eat, unlike other places which restrict how many pieces you can get or conveniently 'forget' your order!

Chicken karaage, salmon belly, and lobster sushi alone are worth the price of admission!

Great for entertaining family, friends, and visitors!

Horrible customer service, and not so great sushi rolls. My family and I stopped by this restaurant for dinner. A waiter was at the door and as soon as we entered, he was constantly asking, "how many? How many?" No "hello" or "good evening." It was very off putting. We had to ask multiple times for extra chopsticks and when they finally did give them to us, it was with a grudging attitude. Also the California roll tasted like a pre-packaged refrigerator type that you can buy at any supermarket.

Second review. Writing a second review because one review is not enough about how bad this
Place is. I have never had such a bad sushi experience and I even made an urban spoon acc just to write about how terrible disgusting this place is. Don't go, I recommend you go to sushi garden or really any sushi place. Just not Richmond sushi.
Danielliu12345
Decent place. Food: pretty decent food, with some dishes that tastes amazing like the shrimp bomb

Service: good most of the time. The have this tall, glasses manager guy that my friends and I always see when we go, and he's probably the coolest dude you can meet. He'd allow us to play poker while we eat and sometimes give us tips on how to play when the restaurant isn't too busy. One main problem I have is that they never seem to give us the exact amount we order, then again, that happens with all ayce places.
WORST EVER in anywhere on earth, Do NOT waste your money.. If Google provided 0, I would chose it. But they don't, so I gave them the lowest:

1. First of all, when we entered the store with 4 adults and 2 kids (a 6-yr old and a 5-yr old) at 2pm last weekend, we started to order. It's hard to get someone to come over.

2. Finally some one came over, we started to order for the first round, they never bring the amount we actually ordered. For example we ordered 20 pcs of gyoza, only 12 pcs came for 6 of us. The kids liked it so we wanted to order more, but we were told the first round was our last order. No one mentioned it in advance. We were told there was a sign on the door when we entered the store. 'Why didn't you read it?!' What kinda service they provide? I basically think the only service they provide is to bring the device and charge on your credit card.
Don't go there and waste your money. You can't find any worse service in lower mainland than Richmond Sushi. Comparing to Richmond Sushi, Kisha Poppo at Ironwood Plaza does a lot better service.

BTW, I don't understand how could they get some good reviews for a service like this(maybe they are employees??) totally agree other customers opinion: the food is so so, but their service is atrocious, dirty, horrible, VERY rude, horrendous,... you name the bad words. Their service really deserves -10 points if we were allowed to give negative points. I am pretty sure they are closing in the near future.

Service is ok... food is subpar and the meat is faulty meaning the "tuna" isnt tuna. Lots of imitation meats, chinese products that can be harmful.

Tried the AYCE lunch menu on the weekend. Good service. Food arrived promptly. Servers came by regularly to clear plates and aske if we needed more food. Decent lunch menu. Would recommend.

Mediocre Food, Atrocious Service. Came here a couple of years ago for AYCE and had a decent time. Returned recently and found that their AYCE dinner menu had risen to ridiculous prices. We were seated in a cramped, dirty booth by the washroom, and when requesting a different table by the window, the waiter rudely told us it was reserved (FYI, no one showed up during the 1.5 hour we were there). What's more, the same waiter then proceeded to hover over our booth after we've seated for about a minute to take our orders, when we've told him firmly that we needed more time, and proceeded to kick a chopstick around the floor beside us while we were eating. Throughout our meal, the waiters eyed us coldly, waiting for us to finish so they could clear the table and collect their tips. Food was deplorable: limp sashimi, hard rice, greasy tempura and oddly-textured beef. Tipped 5% and felt way too generous. Save your money, save your time and avoid this trainwreck of a place.
Arcanis
Cashier extremely rude. Group of 6 went for all you can eat. We were paying individually at the front and the cashier did not believe the amount we were paying, saying that it's close to $30 despite the Top Gun card. Extremely rude and sounded like she was DEMANDING the tips. I showed her the calculation on my iPhone and she still won't believe me wanted to argue it should have been more.

Her attitude was so rude that my girlfriend got mad as well and finally a more senior lady stepped in and sorted it out for us.

Very unplesant experience. I sincerely hope that this doesn't happen to you.
Ken
Disgusting. Very few things to choose from and it was a AYCE i was getting disgusted because i had to eat the same things over and over again.
There were 2 waiters who helped us, 1 waiter who was friendly and made my meal enjoyable and there was another one who looked all pissed off and kept on rolling her eyes. I asked this guy where the washroom was and he said THERE'S A BIG SIGN THERE DO YOU NOT SEE IT???
worst ayce I've been to
Food King
Amazing Food!!!!!!!. So cheap for AYCE and very good.

Don't go too late. Richmond Sushi offers AYCE sushi and Japanese food at a low price. The food is of good quality and I think their fast service was decent. They deserve 3.5 stars for their quality and value.

But there was a little incident that lowered their score just a little bit.
We came at 930pm for the late night AYCE, knowing that they close at 11pm. Their last order was at 1030pm, which was very acceptable, no problem there.
However, 5 mins after they asked us for last order, a waiter came up to us and said they were closing in 10 minutes, which would be 1045pm. Still no problem there, we understand that they have to say that, especially at late night when customers were staying too late and you can't get them out. I worked in restaurants before and I totally understand. But before we finished our food they started turning off the lights to half the restaurant, turned off the music. We felt we were being forced to leave. So we tried quickly to stuff all the food down our throats, and that was an indecent experience.

First of all, if you need to close in such a rush, don't tell me you close right after last order. How were we going to finish? Tell us a little earlier and allow us enough time to finish.
Secondly, don't turn off the lights and music. We were choking on sushi in the dark and awkward silence.

When we left, it was 1045pm. The staff didn't say thank you or goodbye. We passed by the counter/bar in the front, two of their staff were on their phones. They caught a glimpse of us and kind of gave us the stink-eye.

Everything was going well before 1030pm. I would never come back again.... right before closing time.
Margaret Parker
Interesting Place. I don't usually eat Sushi, but some friends and I came here after a concert. Lots of variety, and the food isn't bad, although I don't have much to compare it to.
Paul Smith
Horrible. WOW this place has gone down hill so fast and the price has increased for crap food and crap service.

It still boggles my mind how much I used to love this place and how crappy it has become the cold welcome, horrible food , no thanks I guess everything has it's peak and this one has come and gone.

BY BYE Richmond Sushi go rip off someone else with your rip off Dinner prices.
Lulu
Great host, Good food, fast.... Great host,
Good food, fast service. There were 8 of us. 5 adults and 3 young kids. It was great. We will be back.

Torched toro rocks!. I'm not a big fan of all-u-can-eat eateries, but i gotta say i'm impressed with this one. not too crazy about their sticky tables though...ewww....but since its not a fine dining establishment, u can't expect the world. absolutely luv their torched toro nigiri. great deluxe menu - features more quality items than their regular menu. this is the only AYCE japanese place i recommend.
Pepchoo
Acceptable. Normally we R NOT a fan of the AYCE sushi joints simply because of the trough-style nature of them. However we were staying nearby @ River Rock and decided to re-visit this place. We used 2 come here several times per yr since the kids really enjoyed the variety.

We have become more-sophisticated with our sushi expectations and PREFER Japanese managed / Japanese sushi chefs. But we knew what we were gonna get with the $14.95 AYCE late-nite (after 9:00 pm) special. We ordered 6 tuna - 6 salmon nigiris (5 + 5 showed up) we ordered 3 + 3 more (2 + 3 showed up). NOT a deal-breaker and remember - U kan order more ;-)

Nice 2 B able to sample Agedashi tofu, calamari, chicken karrage, tempura, and finished off w/ mango-pudding. Definitely NOT gourmet - but it is what it is. I truly canNOT believe how much some surrounding tables can eat ;-p
Bubble Gum
Overall this place has very bad service...you dont have a menu to write how much u want for a certain item but u have to tell the waiters and the waiters are not very helpful if u dont no what are some of the sushi foods. they would even cut on you first order and one of the waiter even commented that if u eat to much yam tempura u will become a potato..total insult and bad service
Leigh
Horrendous. Absolutely terrible.

Came in to get a quick bite with my daughter. Service was ok ... Friendly and quick to order. The food came fast. But that's when it turned ugly. The sushi was terrible ... By far the worst sushi I have ever had. The wild salmon was soft and flavorless, and the "tuna" was a pale shade of beige and warm. Disgusting. The sashimi was no better - salmon was average grocery store grade and cut too thick, the "tuna" was very discoloured and looked like end piece cut offs. California roll was made with shredded seafood stuff, the BC roll didn't taste fresh, and the dragon roll was incomprehensible. I had to ASK for ginger because it doesn't come by default.

The hot food was mildly better ... Gyoza were fresh and skillet grilled (not deep fried), the steak on a skewer was ok - just ok, And the golgi rib was tasty enough. Chicken wings were not separated and looked undercooked so I didn't dare.

Ver disappointing. You couldn't pay me enough to eat there again.

Awesome sushi, HORRIBLE service.

Late night sushi at a good price

Overpriced for Poor Quality. I have tried all-you-can eat sushi restaurants throughout Vancouver and the Lower-mainland and this is one of the worst-quality-for-price restaurants in BC. Richmond Sushi's food quality is incredibly low and the poor tasting. The sushi/sashimi tasted as though it were on the verge of going bad (especially the salmon). Plus, the service was horrendous. I ordered from the waitress and received approximately 50% of what I asked for after about 30min. When she came by for me to order again I had to tell her that I still hadn't received my last order. In any case one of the worst all-you-can eat sushi restaurants that I have been to in BC.
Viv
Fast!. This is the usual place for my family and I eat when we want All You Can Eat sushi in Richmond. Their service is extremely fast and food are always fresh. Everytime we leave the restaurant will a full stomach. We usually go there fore Lunch all you can eat, and they are usually full by 12, so get there early!
No Dessert Im Full
Not so fresh. One of the poorer Japanese places I have eaten at. food is not fresh, and when we ordered not all of the items would arrive. I tend to stay away from AYCE places, for the above reasons. one good thing was that "all you can eat" lunch was 12 dollars.
Venture Vancouver
The Good and the Bad. I went with a group of 12 for late Friday night All You Can Eat Sushi. approx $17 inc tax.

We didn't have a booking so we had to wait 20 minutes to get a table which wasn't too bad.

Once we all sat down, we were provided with our list of sushi available (no sashimi) I wasn't planning on eating, I just wanted a beer.

when the waitress came she asked if we wanted seperate bills, we said yes and that I wouldn't be eating, she had to call her manager over for this because for some reason it was a big deal to have just 1 person out of 12 not eat but just drink.

After an arguement between the manager and a person in my party who could speak cantonese (most of the staff here can't speak english well) I was allowed to stay. The manager wanted me to sit at a seperate table by myself! My friend explained it isn't as if I'm not paying for anything, I was still buying beer. I just wasn't hungry for sushi but the rest of the group was. I wasn't going to sit at a table by myself to drink a beer. The manager said she'll allow it this time.

After all this, they left us alone to order the food but still hadn't taken my order for the drinks. Eventually I got to order drinks which the waitress kept getting it wrong (the number that we were ordering for the table). Then when she brought it over, instead of just handing it to me, she poured the beer incorrectly in a glass.

The waitress asked if we wanted seperate drinks bill as well as seperate meal bills, we said yes, but at the end of the night it was all on one bill which made it difficult to work out, and not everyone had cash.

Overall, this place is good in that it is one of the only sushi places that are open after 10pm and it is good that there is all you can eat, but the service is just so atrocious it ruined the whole experience and I would not suggest anyone go there.
Is.ba15
Worst Service Ever. We went as a group of 5 to this restaurant on a Sunday night for the All You Can Eat Menu, and I have honestly never, ever seen such horrible service before. The waitresses were rude and the food was flavourless, except for the red bean roll and the mango pudding (which are both desserts). The sushi rolls were plain, the tempura were bland and super oily. I ordered a vegetable stir-fry which was jus cabbage that was very oily. When we were being seated, a waitress from behind rudely said, "excuse me." After we ordered the dessert, we waited for quite some time, before another waitress came by and asked if there was anything else. We said we'd like the bill, and we asked if the dessert was coming. And she rudely said "Yes, it will come." We waited some more, our bills came with three out of the 5 dessert dishes and we had to remind the waitress once again. I still get a bad taste in my mouth when I remember Richmond Sushi. I won't recommend this place to anyone.
Yellowumbrella
Great lunch deal. We've come for several years and think that they are still a great deal for all you can eat lunch and are always fast and consistant. Love that they have hot fish soup and grilled fish heads, that alone with some salmon, tuna, and chopped scallop roll and you've already got your money's worth. Great service and they are totally friendly to families with lots of kids.
Larsbc
Their dinner buffet is pricey so I only go there for the lunch buffet. The week day lunch buffet price is quite reasonable and, unusually for a Japanese buffet, they come by frequently to see if you want anything else and deliver it promptly. Selection is quite good, too.
Laura Hillier
Don't bother!. I came here for AYCE lunch and it was a bad experience! The beef teriyaki was cold, the edamame was cold, the sunomono salad was clumped together and tasted awful, the rolls were just O.K.

This is my second time dining here for AYCE and I've had way better!! Not much choice here either.
Lupus McFang
The all-you-can-eat is very good. The beef teryiaki is wonder! I can't get enough of it! The raw salmon is pretty good aswell. Service is friendly and fairly quick. I would go back several times over.

Richmond Sushi is part of the Chinese run Top Gun chain of restaurants, with this being one of their first Japanese chain locations. Since I frequent their other location, Kingsway Sushi, I obtained one of their Top Gun membership cards. $1 = 1 point, which you can redeem for items such as free pop, red bean ice cream, and even a rice cooker if you reach a certain amount of points. Back when they first started the program, they offered a trip to Hong Kong for 56000 points. I guess they realized that nobody will ever be able to get 56000 points… or maybe the trip was way too expensive for them to fund. Anyways… I digress. We went here for late night on multiple occasions. This one being right after our trip to the states. The boys were crazy cause we had just gone to the buffet on the same day. I don’t understand how they could have gone through two buffets in one day!
Lester Chung
The cooked dishes are great and i prefer them better than the raw sushi which is pretty typical for all you can eat places and the BBQ Chicken wings is my favorite dish here. Overall a great option to take guest or if you are craving for some all you can eat Japanese food. It also has a sister restaurant located in Burnaby called Kingsway Sushi.
MISS VANCOUVER PIGGY
How can someone who is very picky about Japanese cuisine have Richmond Sushi as one of their favourite restaurants? Well, as surprising as it may sound… I get better sashimi from Richmond Sushi which is an All You Can Eat Restaurant than at some Japanese run businesses! The reason is because since Richmond Sushi is constantly busy, there is never sashimi laying around and sitting there.

Ever since my college years ended, I was totally out of the AYCE japanese restaurants phase. It's not just a fact that I could pack a lot more in back then than I do now, but also the fact that I found a new appreciation in quality over quantity. Once in a while though, when the mood is right, I would still go on a sushi binging trip and devour everything in sight. I have already conquered E-Bei and Shabusen many moons ago, and wanted to try somewhere new. So, I visited the 2 popular AYCE places in Richmond; Ninkazu and the longstanding Richmond Sushi. Of course, I went to the 2 restaurants weeks apart. Doing AYCE twice in one week is a bit much for me to handle. Ninkazu Deluxe all you can eat dinner for $22.95 Service was...meh, to say the least.
