Review Com Vietnamese - Richmond

We saw the banner on our way to another restaurant and decided to stop in. The name was not at all reflective of Vietnamese cuisine and it not visible behind all the flourishing bushres. A modern and spacious setting with high ceiling and floor to ceiling windows makes for a nice atmosphere which is much needed in Richmond. Thank God. A very clean menu with traditional Vietnamese dishes with a modern twist. We ordered the Vermecilli bowl. The charred meats was delicious and worth the $$, although it could only use a bit more crunchy veggies. The steak salad was beautifully presented in a clay bowll but a bit bland. Service was friendly but they could use an extra hand or two considering how busy the place was. It took 20 min to get our food. I'd go back to try the crepes and mackerel. Pricey but worth it.

Ordered the To To Special which their website said it included Chicken, Beef and Pork. I called back asking why it was missing chicken they said it was no longer included and they would just change the website. I have already taken into consideration that I ordered takeout and did not have high expectations. The pork/beef were insanely thin and ended up being overcooked and dry. It’s an even worse look when they charge $22 for the dish. The fried egg and rice were alright. Would reconsider if they had an accurate website and chose to use significantly higher quality cuts of meat. Edit: Mike: Thanks for responding. I will confirm there was a discount offered for future meal but I declined because it would not remedy the already botched meal. It would also need to be an unreasonably high discount offered for me to pay for another meal at this point. Your staff were friendly and professional. I think you missed the main point of critique which was about the poor quality cut of meat chosen for the dish. The price point is fine, otherwise I would not have ordered in the first place. I would not mind paying a premium if the price was reflected in the pork/beef that is provided for your kitchen to cook.

Absolutely amazing. Our whole group was impressed with the dishes here. Phenomenal service. My brother dropped his chopstick and a server was there a split second later replacing his utensils. They were very accommodating with dietary restrictions. The flavours were delicious. And they directed us how to properly eat a few of the dishes.

Local modern Vietnamese place in Richmond. I’ve been coming here for a few years now when I get cravings for Vietnamese food and they do not disappoint. The atmosphere and service are always great and the food is delicious. I recommend the chili fish sauce chicken wings! Free parking is always appreciated as well.

Very clean and modern aesthetics. The food was also decent and the wait staff were very friendly. We got some drinks and food to share because the portions were quite big. I recommend the crab meat fried rice (they use real crab meat) and their Vietnamese style pancake. It’s surprisingly sweet but has a nice balance. The dessert was also good but I was honestly too full to really enjoy them. Next time I come back, I want to try their pho

I came here with friends the other night, the staff were all very friendly and generous enough to extend closing for us to dine in with no rush. The foods also excellent, was overall a wonderful experience and highly recommend. Plus, I forgot my phone in restaurant and one of the staff members who I forgot his name(I’m sorry for that) chased us down to return my phone.

great food, a bit pricey. Great service, just remember not to bring your own drinks.

Hello everyone, here is another restaurant review that my girl friend and I decided to check it out on Feb 16, 2019 located in Richmond, BC called Co'm Vietnamese Restaurant.

As we both walked in, we were both greeted by the hostess and we did not have a reservation but we were given table right away which is amazing. Our hostess escorted us to our table and the menu along with water was given to us by our server. Shortly after, our server revisited our table and took our order. My girl friend ordered We both decided to have a shared appetizer called Chả Giò (Pork Spring Roll) ingredients include pork, carrot, taro, black mushrooms and glass noodles ; served with lettuce, mixed herbs and nước mắm ( Fish Sauce ). We both decided to choose the same entrée dish called Phở Sàigòn which contains steak and beef brisket with rice noodles in beef broth.

Overall, I rate this restaurant a 5 star out of 5. Reason being, the interior ambiance is really chic and brings out the authenticity of Vietnamese culture and cuisine to consumers. The customer service, food quantity, temperature control, quality control along with seasoning was done on point. I definitely would revisit this restaurant in the near future.

foodieyvrjasmine604.wordpress.com/2019/02/16/com-vietnamese-restaurant-visited-on-feb-16-2019/

Pretty sure I've had better, but I'm not going to complain too much about this. It was still very tasty and flavorful, but maybe just not... dirty enough? For me, BBH should be a bit heavier, and greasier, and the best ones are from restaurants that look a bit dirty on the outside. Just a bit, because if it's too dirty, you might get sick.

4/5 because we also had great butter garlic chicken wings (not as good as Phnom Penh, but comparable!), the pork spring rolls and the salad roll. There weren't enough spring rolls to go around the first time, so we ordered another batch.

More and more pretty looking Vietnamese restaurant in Vancouver. I guess this generation is all about being able to post on social media~ So, a good looking restaurant is a must. Went to Co'M Vietnamese in Richmond this time. One of my favorite food is Vietnamese...though I didn't have a good experience while I was in Vietnam, but I do love their pho!

[3.5/5]The impressive interior design and the above-average pricing set me up for a high expectation for COM Vietnamese. I couldn’t help comparing the place with 2 of my favourite high end Vietnamese eateries, Yaletown’s House Special and Mount Pleasant’s Anh & Chi. COM seems more comparable with Anh & Chi as the dishes still seem rather traditional than innovative. However I still need to try more dishes, especially the larger family style ones, which seem to reflect the chef’s inspiration a bit more. For only 2 people, we do our best to tack on the amount of food that’s more than we could finish. The pho here is good but does not strike me as the $14 pho that’s much better than the $10 lot in Richmond. The chicken wings are fantastic, just as good as the ones at Phnom Penh, and so is the fully loaded Papaya Salad. However, the Curry Beef stole the show for me, as the black wood mushroom provides the interesting texture, adding an extra sensory pleasure on top the already flavourful curry. This is the elevation what I was looking for. I would definitely come back for the crafted cocktails they have promised and the large family dishes.
