My family and I were thoroughly impressed with dimsum here. There was a long line at the door and we'd thought it'd be at least a 45 min wait. We got a table for 3 within 10 minutes or so on a busy Saturday morning. The dishes are made high quality and with care. Presentation is en par with taste. Can't wait to return.
Dragon View Chinese Cuisine is located on the second floor of Continental Shopping Centre in Richmond and has a pleasant looking interior with interesting chandeliers that, to me, resembled the round leaves of a money tree (lunaria annua). There’s also a large floral mural on one wall made up of tiny metallic and glass tiles.
This is a really beautiful and great place to eat dim sum. The service is great, the food is always made fresh and while it’s a bit pricey I think it’s worth your while.
Came here for a late lunch on new years day but the place was still crowded. Service was pretty quick and the staff checked on and filled up the tea frequently. We ordered about 10 different dishes. The smoke salmon was especially good. The rice cake was quite good as well. The lamb was mostly onions and chili, unfortunately. Other dishes were decent.
○good service
○decent food

○came here several times for wedding and their set menu is pretty good

○if I had to choose 1 dish : truffle siu mai(limited time for dimsum)/ peking duck for dinner menu

Dragon View Restaurant is my go-to Dim Sum place in Richmond. I eat here frequently because they have a few items that I always must order when I come! 🙂 The food always comes out piping hot like they gave them to us just right after they were prepared. This is important especially for deep fried items where the taste immediately downfalls after they’re cooled down! The service is very fast and the servers are are friendly, attentive and courteous. Despite the busyness, their service is top notch in comparison to other dim sum places. When you ask for something (sauces, bill, etc), it quickly comes. Also, I frequent here and I can confirm that the quality of their food is very consistent! Their prices are reasonable for the quality of food they give. Just a small tip, pay before 12PM on Monday-Friday for a 20% off discount off your bill 🙂 Even if you have not finish eating, you can get the bill before 12PM to enjoy this discount 🙂
The dim sum experience was overall impressive at Dragon View Restaurant, as the dishes were made of quality ingredients and nicely prepared, which explains the huge group of regulars on the weekends. They also offer a discount here before 11:30am. Make sure to make a reservation if you come here for dim sum on the weekends.
My friend and I were really, and I mean REALLY craving dimsum. I had really wanted to try Dragon View Restaurant for a long time, so that’s where we ended up. Even though it was not the weekend, there was still quiet a wait for a table. We had a tough time ordering food since we wanted everything but we were only 2 people.
I thought chinese restaurant will give a bad attitude to customers during busy hours but apparently not. This restaurant give such a good customer service no matter how busy they are. The dim sum here are delicious. I love the deep fried seafood salad roll. And the egg yolk bun. The cost is not so bad, worth it.
On sundays, we like to go either dim sum or out for brunch and today I'm going to talk about one dim sum place that I like. I've only been to Dragon View once with my family, which was a few weeks back. My dad heard many good things about this place therefore I decided to go check it out with my family. We usually go to Fishermen Terrace, Golden Harvest...and a few more from here and there but those two is our usual places.
A sure winner for overall service, ambience and of course dim sum.
Super busy as always, 2nd floor with elevator access. Tip is to park in the back to avoid the mayhem.
The sticky rice, bbq pork buns, and their infamous sesame inflated balls pastry are their signatures. XO sauce also amazing too, real scallops inside.
Very efficient service! The dim sum is not over the average price but it is well worth it. They have a lot of dishes that are made differently than the traditional way. The atmosphere is also really nice and clean.
Great service, very polite, and very family friendly. Food is not overly greasy, easily changed for dietary preferences (less oil, less salt, etc). Very classic and well cooked Chinese dishes that are on the pricier side but for a good reason.
Good dim sum; long wait. Good classic dim sum if you don't mind the long wait time for a table. weekdays are recommended as the weekends are congested with hoards of ppl waiting in line. ample parking and nice second floor location.
Great customer service. Staff cleared plates and refilled hot water promptly. Dim sum is well made. Would recommend this restaurant for dim sum.
This place is a classier restaurant than im use to, full chair covers. Prices pretty good and portions are reasonable. Not a very big place so try to get there early and rezzy youll still need to wait.
Nice service and atmosphere. Wor Wonton had broccoli (cut too big), and bbq pork pieces. Good. Assorted Seafood with tofu had too much tofu and not enough seafood for the price. Sweet and Sour Pork was tender.
Nice atmosphere, average service. This Chinese restaurant was strongly recommended by one of my friends living in Richmond. She said that this place serves very good Hong Kong style Dim Sums. Got a try on a Friday lunch ordering lots of dim sums. Most of them were good, such as: minced beef steamed rice rolls, ha gor, Chiu Chow steamed dumplings, etc. However, I was quite disappointed with their 'Pork Siu Mie' - a bit hard and tough in texture. As for the service, I observed that they were very sincere to those customers that always visited the place. It was not a busy afternoon but it took more than 5 minutes for me to 'wave' and asked a waiter to take my order because many of them were busy in chatting with the customers they knew for long.
Enter the dragon. Been here dozens of times for wedding events, private dinner events, and dim sum. expect a long wait time on the weekends for dim sum.
Portions are worth the pricing. Been here twice before. Made a reservation for 12:00 on a Sunday and when we arrived we were seated right away. Did not see any lineups at all. I noticed though that all the tables were full.
We were planning to order some of the food on the menu listed on urbanspoon but was disappointed when we noticed that some of the items were not on the current menu anymore.
Deep-Fried Fish Paste wrapped with Rice Roll - Very Good. The chinese donut in there was still crispy when it arrived and till the time we finished it. Big portions and was well worth the price. Wished they had given us more sesame sauce though.
Another dish we enjoyed was the Beancurd Skin Rolls w/ Assorted Mushrooms.
The seafood salad roll was quite diff. than other ones we have tried in terms of the outer deep fried layer. Good seafood in there - prawns and scallops. It is a little filling though.
One of my fav place. Have been here for quite a few times and always go back once in a while. Service is really great, waitresses/waiters are really friendly, that's a big plus. Food is good and price is reasonable.
This place is by far one of my favourite dim sum places. There are many dim sum restaurants in Richmond and Vancouver but this one is definitely worth a visit! They have really large shrimp dumplings and crispy and juicy shrimp sping rolls that I just cannot get enough of!! They have excellent XO turnip cake. The customer service is great, my family and I are usually greated by a long black haired women who makes gestures to the working waiters. Very good value for delicious and memorable dim sum. I hope you will like this place as much as I enjoyed it.
Good value for delicious meals. I'm surprised no one wrote a review yet on Wah Wing.
I've patronized this restaurant for many years now. Their dimsums are quite delicious with specialties like oxtail stew and clear soup fresh clams depending on the season. Prices are reasonable. They currently offer 20% discount for early birds before 11 am.
Dinners are authentic Cantonese style. I like their roasted squabs and Alaskan kingcrabs.
Another reason I like Wah Wing is parking is free and not a problem except on weekends. But then if you are late, you won't get a table at the restaurant either. :p

The first dish that got here was the Deep Fried Crispy Tofu w/ Special Sauce ($7.25) . It was really fresh, the tofu was smooth and the outside was nicely golden and crispy. The garlic bits on top weren't too salty either. Well done.
