Perhaps the best fish and chips in the village and by far the best tartar sauce in the city!! Beautiful view and decor, wether you want a romantic, quite dinner in the dinning room or a casual bite and beer on the pub side, this place has it all!
What a lovely day for a lovely lunch! Celebrated my friend's birthday with our husbands... got the best table in the place with such an impressive view and the food was outstanding...great sesame seared tuna, wonderful fish and chips and nice cold local beer. Best of all was that the dessert of the day was a fabulous banana split.... we all couldn't decide which flavour of ice cream was the best of the scoops of strawberry, chocolate and vanilla all delightfully rounded out by a delicious butterscotch sauce... just yummy and they even had a birthday candle for my friend to blow out! Can't say enough about this terrific new restaurant. ...and we didn't even try out the great sports bar at the back of the restaurant...next time for sure. Thanks to Catch Kitchen and Bar for a delightful way to celebrate a birthday...we'll be back!!!
Catch is one of my favourite spots to eat at in Steveston, and having a choice to either sit in the dining area or sportsbar area, gives options depending on the occasion. The view from the dining area is unbelievable, especially when there is a sunset. The sportsbar side gives you a real hometown feel, especially with the beautiful Steveston Packers logo that was drawn onto the wall, which Grads of Steveston have signed their names onto. The Menu is "out of bounds" as I steal the words out of Guy Fieri's mouth lol. My favourite menu items are the Carbonara Pasta and the Kung Pao chicken bowl, both items have been the best I've tried at any resturant by far. If you haven't stopped by Catch yet, I would make plans on getting there soon, cause your missing out.
While it was busy, we have been here several times and the service is great, the food always quick and hot... drinks are great, it’s definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been!
Always a good time and meal at Catch! LOVE the Thai Chicken bowl along with numerous other menu items (Baja fish Tacos and flat bead & Beef dip are all super yummers too!). This place is perfect for a night out, a relaxing atmosphere, with the option to move on over to the Lounge/Bar area should you be feeling a bit more frisky! Patio view are amazing, water front and what a sunset! We be back again and again!
This was our first time here after hearing all the good things our friends had to say.. We were certainly not dissappointed, Great food, awesome service, reasonable prices & wonderful view.. Our server was awesome, we were the first ones in there last night.. Don't ever stop serving that delicious warm spinach salad, so good & the Chocolate crunch bar should be illegal, lol.. We will definetly be back, thank you ~.

Both the appetizer and main course was fresh and hot. The view was great and server was good. Will return.

We wanted a place to watch the sunset and have a few drinks. We scored on both. The staff was very friendly. After a few beers be ordered their calamari. It was delicious.
Their sangria was such a pleasant surprise! They made it perfect. Right mix of wine and juice, not overly sweet. Nice cloudy mixture. My fish burger was great and came with curly fries. Great water views. Would love to come back during the summer time.
Good fish and chips. Reasonably priced. The fish tacos are great as well, and they have a decent selection of wines. W/C is spotless, and they have a great view of both the harbour and the cannery area that this restaurant is part of.
Visiting the historic village of Steveston, although not really that far away, is still a treat for us… especially when the weather is sunny and the smell of the salt air mixes with the aroma of freshly fried fish and chips. That being said, we do like to try different restaurants so we wound up visiting Catch Kitchen + Bar located on the second floor above Blue Canoe Waterfront.

Great Friday lunch @ Catch Kitchen + Bar with my good friend and her family! Catch has recently opened at the old spot of Charthouse restaurant. Glad we came here! It was totally different from the old restaurant there. It is different style from Blue Canoe downstairs. The service was very good and attentive. For the food quality, wayyyy better than Charthouse before. The menu was small and pretty standard, the regular items that you can definitely pick something from there BUT no unique dishes. I think that's what they need to stand out from other restaurants at the waterfront location.
Excellent choices for meals. Covid protocol in place. Gorgeous view of the Steveston wharf and the water while having your meal. Loved the ambience. The server was very courteous. Close enough free parking and one can walk to the restaurant.
I went to that place as I was craving seafood, but it wasn’t as expected, not a real seafood restaurant, however the menu had quite interesting dishes and everything we tried was tasty. The ambiance was great, location looks amazing in the summer though. Staff were so nice and very friendly.

The best part of Catch Kitchen + Bar is its window view and open patio view above the bay in Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf. With unexpected excitement, we captured the peculiar beauty of sunset at the right moment!
