Good service and the dimsum was en par. It was almost a full house by the time it hit noon. Luckily we arrived around 11am. The servers are in uniforms and the restaurant is equipped with VIP rooms. The dimsum is not pushed around a cart - you are given a menu to check off from. I really enjoyed my dining experience here and would definitely come again when I'm in the area.
This is my favorite dim sum restaurant. Its not too loud, the food is delicious (they have the best durian puffs I've ever had), the steamed rice noodle rolls are all really good. And they have dishes not found in many other joints.
Very good Dim Sum and good service. Very good food, they had several dishes that other places don't have. Service was better than in other places, the place is more quiet too and they have private rooms. It's more pricey than usual Dim Sum though (prices are not shown).
Excellent Dimsum and Service. Just went there for Dimsum today. Had a bunch of food, the only ones I didn't like was one pastry dish and the first entry which was some abalone soup (a tad bit salty)
The rest was good. I especially like the siu mai (though it was a bit on the sweet side, but it does not taste like cheap meat).
I don't like tendon personally, so I didn't eat it but my dad liked it a lot.
I also liked their congee it was the 3rd item on the list the one with no price.
The tripe dish was good as well.
They also have this deep fried shrimp with shoe string potatoes (I think) and that one was good as well.
Excellent dim sum. The shrimp dumplings are big and fresh. Same owners as yang's japanese. Love both restaurants.
Some might think they're bland but I like the 清 taste.
Everything at Yang’s is made to order. This ensures that every dish is hot when it is served. The food was much pricier, unfortunately. Each dim sum dish is categorized into small ($3), medium ($4), or large size ($5).
On the whole, the dim sum here is well-executed and tasty, albeit quite pricey (tea is $1.20 per person, S- $3.10, M- $4.20, L- $5.20, and XL- $7.80). That said, I enjoyed the food a lot so I will likely come back for more dim sum. And on top of that, no crazy wait time here! What more can I ask for?
This restaurant used to be Yang's Sushi serving Japanese food, but now it has converted into a Chinese restaurant specializing in seafood. There are very large lobsters, king crabs, and flounders in the fish tanks at the front. We came here for an early lunch, because if you submit the order before 11:00am, the price is cheaper! Each dish was $3, except for XL sizes. We ordered a lot of different varieties and they came out pretty fast. The first dish was the sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaf. This is one of Mike's favourites. Another one of Mike's favourites is BBQ pork pastry. This was pumpkin congee. It was really good! At first I thought it was some sort of corn soup, but was told it was pumpkin that gave it the yellowish colour. It was really tasty and a little sweeter, but not overwhelming. Here is steamed chicken, beef balls, har gow, and at the back was our dessert, the egg custard steamed bun. We left the egg custard bun until the end, and by that time
There is a reason this is my go to Dim Sum place in Toronto. With Markham and Richmond Hill known for having the best of the best Chinese food in all of Toronto, the competition is fierce, and restaurants need to find something that sets them apart from the rest. This restaurant accomplishes this task easily. There's a reason why there is a huge line up at this place before 11am for lunch, as the food quality knocks out the competition.
The Har Gow are scrumptious with the fresh taste of shrimp. The shrimp and scallop dumplings with black truffles are juicy and stuffed with seafood. The scallop rice rolls with a side of greens had the right hint of spiciness and big pieces of scallop. The fried salmon heads with chili and garlic was unique however it worked.
Yangs Fine Chinese Cuisine takes Dim Sum to the next level with quality ingredients and creative innovation. Would definitely be back, and would need to try their dinner menu.
