Best BBQ duck, BBQ pork and Chicken Wings! Their portions are really big as well (Take out and dining in). The owners are also really friendly =)
Yup still like it here very much! I tried something different this time and thankfully I was not disappointed. The BBQ duck - a must try! I love it more than the chicken actually, but both are still very, very good. Tried out the Chinese vegetables they had which was the long green bean I think? I personally like it with black bean garlic sauce the best, Mmm so good!! I just tried two items this time, with some rice and it was delicious! Will try different items next time!
I was really hesitant to come here at first because of all the reviews but I came anyway cause a few friends recommended.
I came twice, once for lunch buffet and I thought it was phenomenal! I really enjoyed the buffet, especially the chicken wings and lemon chicken, they were just perfect!
The second time I decided to give the menu a try again and I was not disappointed. I came with a few friends and we tried the pan fried prawns with the noodles underneath, bbq duck and it was all so delicious. Highly recommend it. Also, their chicken with corn soup - amazing. The portion was perfect for us and by the end of the meal, we were all so full, and still had some left over for next day lunch. We will definitely be coming back again.
The outside looked fairly bland, only came here because my boyfriend was craving Chinese and it was the first one we came across. I was hesitant to eat the buffet because of all the crappy reviews regarding it here but my companion was readily stacking his plate and ushering along. Deciding to try some of the buffet food, I was surprised that it was hot and still crunchy-I thought all the food would be gross and disgusting. I suppose the best time to get the buffet is when it's fresh out of the kitchen. Feeling a tad bit more comfortable I decided to order the odd but interesting almond prawns from the menu; I didn't know what to expect because prawns didn't seem to go well with almonds.. But once again I was amazed by how it reminded me of fresh French bread, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It was good! Overall it was a pleasant surprise. The complaints surrounding the buffet are understandable as food gets soggy and disgusting after a while of sitting, but that's when the menu comes to play; switch over from the adapted Chinese menu to the traditional style dishes and you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Not as bad as everyone says. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this restaurant. The food is pretty good and the service is nice and polite. Sometimes there might be one dish that is a tad heavy on the salty side, but nonetheless, it is a good family restaurant with a nice atmosphere.
Surprisingly good. It wasn't my intention to be mean-spirited, but I honestly was not expecting anything fantastic when walking into the vast dining space of Lee's Chop Suey. My expectations were so low that I didn't even bother bringing my camera (this from the guy who takes pictures at Burger Baron). Alas, shame on me for being a preconceiving jerk.
The service was prompt and very kind, and all of the food off their Chinese menu (no chicken balls here) were cooked very well. My favourites would be the salt & pepper prawns or mushroom noodle. A few of their dishes may have been cooked with a heavy hand in the salt jar, but overall the food was quite enjoyable.
So as Dwight Schrute, of The Office fame, so aptly stated to Andy Bernard: "Shun off." I couldn't agree more. Lee's is no longer in my bad books and I am much more inclined to return in the future.
