Went here last Sunday and this Sunday. The old chef is helping the new owner so the food is pretty good. Service is good, server is very polite. Food - dim sums are good, but the stirfry short noodles and shanghai noodles are too oily. Shrimp dumplings wrappers can be a bit more chewy, otherwise its good. A person will be full with their black bean pork rice or steamed chicken with mushroom rice. Its only $5.95 and its portion is good! You can also bring your favorite tea leafs there too. Just ask for a pot of hot water. What I would recommend are sui mai (pork dumplings), chinese donut with rice roll, rice rolls with bbq pork or shrimp, sticky rice in wrap. I heard from the server today that they will have congee once the dim sum carts arrive. So I assume they will have more dim sum choices later? Overall the dim sum are good. By the way, the interior looks much better than the picture uploaded on here. This place is a lot better after new paints and decors are put in.
Newly renovated on the inside so don't be intimidated by the outside look of it. They are now serving yummy dim sum! They were taught by the old owners of happy garden so the quality is good and fresh! Try the Eggplant with garlic sauce..I order it every time I go here!
Great Food And Service. Because I actually haven't been there in nearly a year, I'm posting this mostly due to a paucity of written reviews. I haven't been there since the renovations in 2012 March (prior to which their men's washroom was a catastrophe), but at the time the food was excellent and I could get half a day's fill on a tenner. The only reason I haven't been back there since is because it is too far from the commute routes I've had since then.
