I came here for a solo lunch on a Sunday. I ended up seating myself as no one greeted me at the door and I didn't see any sign one way or another. It then took a few minutes for them to notice I was there. I ordered the Al pastor tacos. I would note that you don't order by the taco here but instead order the tacos in groups of 3s. While I was waiting they served complementary chips and salsa which was great as I was quite hungry. The meal I ordered was tasty. Not too juicy like some other places I have been where the taco just falls apart due to all the juices. It could use a bit more pineapple I think though. To close out the meal they brought out a complementary dessert, some sort of chip with cinamon and a sugar sauce on it. This was a delightful little treat to end the meal, but I found it to be a bit too much quantity for one person. Would have been great for 2. I would come back.
The corn tortillas are made by them, not from a package bought at the nearest store. Been to many mexican restaurants but I've never found a place that serves hand made tortillas until I found this place. Food was delectable! We ordered the Tlayuda and the Sope Chorizo con Papas, but to be honest both tasted and looked pretty much the same. The restaurant offers complimentary chips and salsa as your food is being prepared and also a complimentary dessert.
Tacos al pastor were very delicious. The pork was tender and very flavourful. The flavours were complimentary and summery. My dining guests had the chimichangas and they were delicious and huge! The rice was light and delicious. The portion sizes are very generous and they have lots of options to choose from. They provided us with a dessert and the service was great. They were friendly and we didn't wait long for our food. The restaurant has ample parking and is tastefully decorated. The food is definitely true to its roots and I highly recommend it.
