The best Indian food I have had since my trip to India. The vegetable samosas were delicious. They reminded me of samosas I had in a small village in Mizoram. The sauce that came with them was perfect. Of course the first thing I searched for on the menu was the Chili chicken that I loved so much on my trip. This was not on the menu but the waiter asked the chef and he made it for me. It was like being transported back to Kolkata and brought back so many wonderful memories of the food and people of India. This dish really needs to be added to the main menu. It is so good! If you like Indian food or looking for an amazing dining experience, I highly recommend this place. The staff are very friendly, professional and helpful. I will definitely be back again to Tamarind.
This is probably the best Indian food in the city and the atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this restaurant to others. We live in the east end and is well worth the drive. Our server Moe was absolutely amazing. He had made great suggestions, was very kind and our water was never empty!! Our food came out very quickly and a good price for how much you get. Thank you for the great service and we will definitely be back!!
Great food! Great service! Great location! My favourite dish thus far is the Garlic Chicken Tikka Masala. I also really like the Veggie Korma, the lentil soup and the rice pudding.
2018-12-21 Supper: If you can't get to Caraway Grill, this place is 2nd in Regina. NOTE: The menu differs online to what is in the restaurant and is much better in restaurant. Classic Butter Chicken is very good, Saffron rice was very nice. Spicy lamb kebab starter is sublime! Really enjoyed the main Shrimp dish they have. The Potato Podima side dish was a touch bland but good and the Naan tasty and soft. Service was good and normal, nothing was degrading or outstanding in this regard. I enjoyed the location with a view of the busy street and the quaint size of the restaurant. I am looking forward to going here again soon.
I must say I’m disappointed that the place wasn’t full .... this place has food that is delicious, served hot and fast and the waitress was very helpful and friendly.
I asked for a dish that was not on the menu and she was more than happy to make it.
The chapattis are the best in town. A week ago I bought 2 orders from Caraway Grill and two here for a take out meal. Side by side the chapattis here at Tamarind were soft, fluffy and beautiful. The ones from Caraway Grill were chewy and tough in a couple spots .... like they were re-heated in the microwave.
This place is in a very busy part of town and should be rockin ....
Give’em a try .... they’re worth it!!!
*** their medium spicy is too spicy for me and I can usually keep up with the pros..... so if you want mild make sure you get mild.
We have been here several times and every time the food is very good with lots of flavour. More recently we have started ordering for pickup and find that we receive more food for the same price as when we eat in. Highly recommend this restaurant.
This is newly opened Indian restaurant at the north sore of regina based in kerala theme. Very good mentioned and food was very good. We have chilli paneer malai kofta butter nan jerra rice dal makhini all are delicious. And off course mango lassie
I just had lunch here today for the first time. The restaurant was empty when we went. The service was fast and the waitress was very easy to talk to. The veggie samosas and butter chicken were my favourite dishes that I tried. The naan was good, but it had too much garlic. The Bombay chat was very sweet and savoury at the same time. The samosas had very good flavour and were packed full of vegetables. The butter chicken was very rich, however in my opinion the serving size was very small for $14.50. I will return here again for more samosas but I will try something other than the butter chicken next time.

I came here again tonight. My boyfriend and I got here around 7:45 PM and it was empty. We walked in and were not greeted for several minutes. Our waiter was actually outside in front of the restaurant smoking when we got there. We waited a few minutes and finally someone came from the back to seat us. We ordered the garlic naan, butter chicken, beef stew, samosas and kerala porotta. All of the food was delicious and the naan had the perfect amount of garlic this time. I still think the main portions are pretty small. Overall the only thing I didn’t enjoy was the service from our waiter “Mo”. When we ordered our food spicy he turned to me and said “are you sure you’re going to be able to handle this type of spice”? I was kind of shocked. Half way through the meal he walked over and raised his hands as he got to our table announcing “Now it’s time for the quality check- how is it going?” He was also making some questionable comments to the other couple that were seated directly behind us. It felt a bit theatrical and unnecessary.
The food was delicious. Paneer Tikka was very tender and marinated very well.
Dal tadka and rice was my soul food and loved it to eat with Achari Bhindi. I had really nice Nebbu Sharbat after a long time.
Just some advice for service, don't serve main course meals and plates unless asked or ask the customers if they would like to have their main course once customers finish their appetizers, just some basic etiquette of serving food in the restaurant.
Hi Visited the restaurant yesterday.. The smile of front staff was very welcoming and she was very friendly..
Ambiance was good
The restaurant was not too rush
Ordered:- Calamari, Kerala Porotta,Beef roast and mutton
didnt get beers we preferred and cocktails as it was unavailable
Waiting time was decent
Calamari tastes good quality was decent ❤️
Kerala porotta was expensive as well as seems like a fusion of punjabi and tamil porotta 👎(real kerala porotta available in I-dine)
Beef roast had that kerala authentic taste ❤️
Mutton roast tasted not good 👎
Its not a south indian but managed to give our favourite porotta beef combo… giving 4 stars for that
Admin.. Please work on kerala porotta..

Always very good food and good service. Great first stop off the highway from Sasktoon into Regina. Huge portions, I always take some home.
Amazing food! Their naan is sooo good crispy and buttery without being soggy. The staff is so pleasant and very grateful to have customers. I ordered garlic naan, paneer Tikka, Gobi Manchurian and a rice-- had lunch, leftovers for supper the next day and my husband and I shared the remaining amount for lunch- HUGE portions.
Reasonable quality, taste and portion sizes accompanied with cheerful staff.
The restaurant has good visibility from the adjoining roads and has a cheerful décor. The conveniences were spotlessly clean.
You have to eat here! So many choices and the flavours are amazing. Can’t believe I waited so long to try it. The biryani was so good!! Can’t wait to go back!
