Calling all veggies! The portobello burger was to die for and worth the upgrade to the truffle padano fries.
The saskatoonberry sour was a perfect call back to my old cabin in southern SK and the margarita was an awesome blend of sweet at first and mild spice at the end.
Super happy with Steph and I can't wait to come back!
Fan-tastic!!! Had a stellar meal and enjoyed a variety of great beers. Service was also on point with friendly and knowledgable staff. So thrilled to have this iconic location back and better than ever- well done!!!
I had dinner and drinks on the deck last night with a group of friends. Overall the experience was rather good. I had the Chimichurri wings and a Caesar salad. The wings were ok but the sauce needed some heat. The salad was pretty much perfect. The upgraded tables and chairs over the old Freehouse was a much needed addition. However, everything seemed to be coated in dust. Given the wind we have had in Regina a the past few days, the staff should have been more diligently wiping things down. Regardless, the Social Hall is one of the best outdoor seating areas in the city. The food is ok, the drink menu complete and the service is steady. I am sure I will be back multiple times throughout the summer. FYI, I did learn last night that their plan to make in house Charcuterie has been dropped. I find this to be disappointing. It could have made the Social Hall a real destination for something different.
2017-01-18 Dinner: First time here since it changed over. Service was great, really like the layout. Beer options were great. Food was the only drawback. Some of our dishes looked unappealing, especially for the price. I had the veggie pizza and it was ok. It looked good! But the crust was so tough, i had it boxed up to put in my fridge so it would soggy up for the next day. I think they use pre-made shells as opposed to making their own dough...? At least that's how it tasted. Would go back for drinks and atmosphere.
We had a good experience at Cathedral Social Hall. The restaurant is beautiful inside with great, bright lighting. They have a solid beer selection and our server was quite attentive. We really enjoyed the bretzals because of the delicious dip selection. Also, my house-made chorizo hot dog was unique and very flavourful.
The only flaw with Cathedral Social Hall is their prices. Food prices were a little steep, especially for some of the share plates. Overall, I would recommend checking Cathedral Social Hall out!
The renovation improved this restaurant. It is much nicer now. The food is also better than it was under the previous owners. For pub food, it's pretty good. The patio is my favorite in the city. The service was ok.
Great food. Friendly staff. Comfortable atmosphere.
Went for lunch with my partner and friends and we had such a nice time. Our server was super sweet and very attentive and not overly pushy. She was knowledgeable about the menu as well. The dining area had lots of beautiful natural lighting too.
This is a very popular spot. With the music and all the people packing the place it was pretty loud. The food was delicious, full of flavour and made with high quality ingredients. Very trendy menu. Outstanding service.
Super friendly staff, very helpful and warm hearted! The flights I had were good! My favorite was the Peach Sour by Granville. The selection of beers is quite good! The overall vibe is modern and chill, loved it! They have a patio that is nice and large!
The food was okay, I wouldn’t recommend the poke but I came here for the drinks and vibe.
Very nice inside! The food is so good! Drinks are great too. If you want to impress a blind date. Come here lol 😆
Can’t speak to the reviewers that stated bad service, I’ve only had great service here. To the reviewers saying their pizza was burnt, you clearly haven’t had proper pizza. Char is normal on a proper pizza. Go travel a bit more.
My husband and I dined here during our stay in Regina. We absolutely loved the atmosphere. The staff was friendly, service was fast, and the food was delicious. Great music selection and very beautiful pictures of Saskatchewan displayed proudly around the restaurant.
Some of the best pirogies I've ever had. Vegetarian options were also available. There was a large selection of drinks - alcoholic and non alcoholic. Really great spot. Would definitely come again!
