We went for the poutine week, so the food was very standard and was OK. Ambient is kind of confusing and old style, not my style. Beer selection is amazing, however lying about the size of the glass is a no no, which makes you loose 3 stars: the pint is considerably smaller than the average bar.
Staff is OK, could be nicer.

Cool pub feel to it and the service was really great, but the food was a downer. My partner and I ordered two classic burgers with some coffee. The burger patty itself didn't taste like much for the amount of meat it had, could've used some more salt and pepper or other seasoning, but the produce was fresh (tomatoes and lettuce). The fries were awful, they were all the length of half my pinky finger as if it came from the bottom of a frozen bag. Wasn't too happy about that.

Staff were friendly enough, but food was below par. ordered Fish and chips, which was way overcooked. My companion enjoyed hers though, so maybe just avoid the fish and chips. Wouldn't rush back, plenty of better options around the area. A bit rude to add the tip to the bill without asking!

The energy of the outside of this pub does not match the inside.. Sadly. My mom and I ordered calamari (it was over done, but we ate it because we were hungry from walking the city all day!) from the apps menu. We both had a pint, and we sat at a high top table beside the bar.. The entire time we sat there; there was a very drunk local man harassing us in French and English after we asked him multiple times to please stop talking to us.. He was clearly being over served and he was scaring not only my mom and myself, but other patrons as well. The atmosphere is every drab.. Boring.. Old.. Music is so low you can barely hear it and between songs there is a long awkward pause. I hate leaving a review of this nature, but quite honestly this place deserves nothing above a 3. Service was ok, but the server coughed on our bill without covering her mouth and shoved a couch drop down her hatch right in front of us. I'm sorry, but these things should be done behind closed doors.. As a server myself, I tend to over analyze.. But I can't stress enough not to waste your amazing city exploration time here.
