Review La Campagne - Quebec City

The waitress was absolutely unfriendly. The waiting time was too long. I liked the imperial rolls but my main dish (beef with noodles) was much worse than expected. It looked beautiful but smelled awful and didn’t taste good. Pay attention you can bring your own wine there if you are ready for an average service and not the best food.

Happiness and after more than 15 years a rush of olfactory and taste memories. A great BYOW place and as great as it was. Great lunch deals. Minor drawback is that there is only metered parking on the street for those who do not use public transit. Conveniently located near the touristic area. You cannot go wrong!

We've entered an empty place with only one man occupying a table. After a short pause waitress switched to English and offered another table. Although there were not crowded to say the least, we had to wait until our order has been taken. The food itself is decent, imperial rolls are crusty, salad is fresh and soup is nice. I've chosen salmon as main dish and my wife came up with beef noodles. Size is relatively large, salmon is a bit undercooked but edible. At the same time, noodles and beef occupied only a part of the plate for my wife. The rest was filled with some unexpected cabbage, carrots and strange stinky sauce. The most disturbing thing is when we've left forks and knives on a salad plates expecting staff to change them they've just put them aside with no emotions. I felt really disgraced compared to the service offered to other visitors.

I remember it as being much better food a few years ago... I don't know if the quality changed or if my taste evolved though. Still, it's always a safe option, the food is good, you can bring your own wine, the prices are fair and the staff is nice.

It's a real Vietnamese restaurant. The disks are delicious, the staffs are friendly and warm.

Me coming from Mississauga, which is a haven for pho foodies, La Campagne really fails. It was nice having the three course set dinner, but the flavours were... Strange... It was comforting having a bowl of plain white rice tho.... Service was good. And the place was super busy!

The pho soup was nothing special. Was not authentic tasting at all and fairly flavourless. The basil was also old, turning brownish and wilted. We ordered take out and they didn't separate the noodles from the broth, so by the time we got it home the noodles were all soggy. The spring rolls were ok, and the sauce for them was not great. The people there are nice though 😊

Ordered the soup and a chicken salad, both very poor and small portions. Plus very slow service. Not the real Vietnamese food.
