Awful experience. The service was slow but we were pacient because there was a lot of people but the paella was awful. For 33 dollars you get two shrimps, one chiken leg and some little pieces of sea food. No chorizo at all, even if we ask for the Paella of the Chef. The whole thing tasted and smelled as instant spices, the color was almost white and the consistency of the rice was mainly watery. Disgusting. Drinks and tapas were a lot worse.

Nice variety of Tapas and Paella dishes. Staff is quick and courteous. Might be a bit challenging to find street parking spots. I would definitely return.

Great food and lots of it. Craft beers. Reasonable pricing for location. Attentive staff. Clean washrooms, which are downstairs, opposite side to kitchen. Nicely stocked bar.

International travelers beware. We were refused service because we did not have a QR code issued by the government. We have travelled for 10 days through Montreal and Quebec City, visiting government sites, bars, restaurants, museums etc with no problem when showing our vaccine card and passport. The young man at the desk refused entry even when we asked if he was aware of the governments guidelines for international documentation. The good news is that across the street we had a lovely meal at Belga. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with Copas

Dinner for 5 was excellent and a great end to our Carnaval 2020 experience.
Steak was done to perfection. Paella, just exquisite. Seafood pasta was creamy and rich. The kids meals were a hit too. The pasta sauce tasted so fresh and the ribs were too good to share, so must take her word that they were "delicious".
The staff was friendly and accomodating for our non-french speaking family. And the atmosphere was warm and inviting despite the cold outside.

I had a gazpacho with a seafood paella. The gazpacho was good, was missing a little olive oil, but good. The paella was cooked good, its not easy to make a good paella... Rice was cooked just right. The shrimps, scallops and mussels were good, but I found the lobster tail a bit small. Service was ok, I sat at the counter. Overall experience was good.

We were walking trying to find somewhere to eat, when a lady the (hostess) started explaining their menue she made everything sound so good, at first we walked on but then decided to go back. I had the bbq ribs and Fries and a side salad, my husband had a seafood Pasta dish which was great, too. Everything we ordered was great. The service was good also. Our friends also loved everything they ate. The portion sized were very large, we walked away very pleased that we had gone back. None of us drink so it was nice to be seated away from the bar. The atmosphere was quiet and we started talking to the couple at the next table, which was from Argentina, They were very nice and were enjoying the food there as well.

We ordered couple of tapas which was ok but nothing special about it, two of us had bass which looked like cooked couple hours before and reheated, chicken dish has no taste or flavour,seafood pasta taste was good but you shouldn’t boil scallops, it should be seared,shrimp was baby salad shrimp. Overall this place has nice location but food needs real improvement ...

This was my worst experience in Quebec! The worst Paella ever, far away of the Spanish cuisine. Taste less, raw rice and no enough meat.
The service was even worse! They were rude and we wait for ever even for the checkout. Make us felt really unwelcome in the restaurant. Honestly, a real shame for Spanish culture.

Nous avons détesté pratiquement tout de ce resto attrape touriste. Le serveur est devenu tout a coup notre meilleur ami. Il me tapait sur l'épaule comme si on se connaissait depuis cent ans. Grande gueule mais ne connaissait pas son menu. Incapable de repondre clairement à nos questions. L'assiette de ma conjointe est arrivée froide. Je ne comprends les resto de servir des plats dans des assiettes non réchauffées à l'avance pour garder la nourriture chaude. La nourriture à peine correcte. Si vous allez au resto juste pour vous remplir la panse c'est juste passable sinon...
Fuyez ce resto. Je vous recommande d'aller dans le cartier St-Roch la où nous avons bien mangé. Sur 5 restos à Québec 2 seulement nous ont plus. Le cercle et le Chic Shack. Les 2 autres que nous navons pas aimés sont Le Brigantin et Les frères de la côte voir nos crtiques...

Nourriture correcte. Je n'ai pas aimé le fait que j'ai fait une réservation et quand on est arrivés on nous dit bien on n'a pas votre réservation, mais mettez vous là pareil??? Wtf même pas d'excuse pour cela et ce même si j'avais mon courrier de confirmation... un peu cher pour ce que c'est...

Great suprise for me tonight. I was walking around in Quebec city hoping to find a good place to eat. A woman hooked me up in front of the restaurant, she was lovely. Everything i ate was excellent, my waiter Nicolas was very nice and gave me good advices about the food. I fell in love with the Copas, im gonna come back for sure!!

Ne vous fiez pas à l'alléchante présentation que vous fera la dame qui semble être espagnole à l'accueil...la nourriture que vous allez avoir n'aura rien à voir avec ce qu'elle promet. Tapas pour deux: Aucune explication sur ce qui se trouve friture très grasse et mal cuite. Bouchées très salées, bref aucun plaisir sauf pour ce qui est des calmars frits qui sont très bons étonnamment! Entrecôte croisée : on demande saignant, le steak arrive rosé mais très peu tendre sans aucune sauce pour l'accompagner. Finalement après plusieurs minutes d'attente pour qu'ils aillent voir ce qu'ils ont comme sauce ils n'ont qu'une sauce aux champignons et comme cela ne nous convient pas (goût personnel) on finit avec de la moutarde pour rendre le tout moins sec. Tartare de saumon : Il baigne dans la mayo et vient avec seulement deux petits croûtons noyés de beurre. Service: On aurait dit une équipe de hockey junior-majeur, tous des jeunes hommes dans la vingtaine. Polis mais très pressés de débarrasser notre table et de nous faire payer pour qu'on laisse la place à d'autres...bref allez ailleurs

Samedi soir 25 mars entre amis (groupe de 8), nous avons partagés des tapas qui étaient excellents. Le service excellent ( nous avons demandé une surprise du chef pour les tapas). Les saveurs des tapas, nous a fait voyager.

The House Paella arrived. It had mussels, shrimps, chicken, chorizo, and criolo. The paella rice in this dish was very hot — kept warm by the pan which the server did warn us was hot. I still wasn’t a huge fan of this rice despite it being hot because it was a bit harder in texture than my preference. The chicken thigh was soo tender and delicious though. The shrimps were few and far in between. The chorizo meat was hard and a bit salty.

I don't usually have Spanish food so when dad choose a Spanish restaurant for dinner, I thought why not. I'm a big fan of seafood and I knew Spanish loves their seafood as well. I ordered 3 tapas to share with dad, but dad wanted to order from the set menu, so we ended up with too much food. We really enjoyed the food so we did pretty well in clearing almost everything. The octopus, mussels and fish (I forgot what fish it was as it was one that I never heard of) was super fresh and the natural flavours of the seafood shone through. The sauces were all delightful and full of flavour, especially the slightly spicy sauce that accompany the mussels. The shrimp croquette was super crispy and cheesy, but not enough shrimp was tasted throughout. It was also very pricey for just one croquette. The soup was quite mediocre, but the refreshingly delicious sangria helped me forget the dismal start to the meal, and helped set the scene for the wonderful mains. One last but. It was overall quite expensive, but the price is also reflected in the easygoing and attentive service.

Très bon restaurant Espagnol au coeur de la ville de Québec. L'ambiance est chaleureuse, les grillades sont délicieuses et les tapas sont diversifiés. Nous avons adoré. Il y avait une prestation de guitares espagnoles lors de notre passage et cela nous a replongé 5 ans a l'arrière dans nos souvenirs de voyage en Espagne. C'était parfait! Très bon service en plus.

Amazing place :-) !! Food and service where just outstanding ! Will go back anytime :-). Ambience was cozy with nice spanish music. We had a vodka martini and a caipirina for aperitif hte bartender was right on the money they where both well balanced !!

The location is great, the staff friendly but somewhat inexperienced. The wine good but the food tasted like it was prepared from frozen ingredients. I had the paella and my wife a selection of tapas but we won't be going back.

Very Nice!. The menu @ Copas' website is outdated. <br/>Nice ambiance, pleasant music that wasn't too loud.<br/>Enjoyed the escargot (w/ a flavorful spicy sauce); soup of the day (pureed vegetable curry); fabulously seasoned gazpacho. The House Paella was good, w/ flavorful, smoky chorizo and good mussels. The shrimp was a bit over-cooked and we found only 1 small scallop and 1 small bit of chorizo -- overall good, w/ outstanding flavor. A little pricy, but wonderful flavors of Spain.
