Dined here on Aug 20. Found this place by chance as we walked along Saint-Paul. We were looking for a patio setting that allowed our dog. The owner, Alex, went out of his way to find us a seat to accommodate our pet. This simple gesture was the start of a great dining experience.
The food! The food! Our meals were fabulous. The ingredients were all fresh. In fact, much of the items were from the owners' home areas in Quebec. We started with poutine, which was delicious. Vey well prepared- not sopping with gravy. We enjoyed the flavour of the local potatoes.
Main courses were tourtière, which was filled to the brim with meat and veggies; and the scallops, which the chef created off-menu. Presentation was very nice and portions were plentiful. We did not have room for dessert- which also looked wonderful.
The service was awesome- a personal touch from Bruno to help us translate the menu into English and suggest the scallop special.

This is an unbelievable restaurant. We happened upon it by chance as we were walking to our hotel. The menu is superb and all completely locally sourced from around Quebec and especially the great Saguenay Lac-St-Jean region. I had the traditional tourtiere and my husband had magret de canard..both were superb. We both enjoyed a couple of local beers as well. After the main course we were full but still managed to leave some room for the traditional blueberry pie made with the famous Lac-St-Jean wild blueberries. It was topped with whipped cream a chocolate ganache. The service ( all done that night by one of owners) was exceptional and the atmosphere, including all local Quebec music smoothly streaming out of the speakers, was a nice touch. We both loved this place and are already planning our next visit when we head back to Quebec in June..when the menu will change to match the season the owner said. Highly recommend.

Wonderful food and reasonable prices. I stumbled upon this place while looking for somewhere I could have dinner on my own, and boy was I surprised!
I was seated immediately and my waitress was super attentive. She helped me out at the time of choosing my order, and I have to say she nailed it
I ordered the shepherds pie and it was amazing! The serving was HUGE and it was delicious. Seriously, 120% recommended
Wonderful food. Reasonably priced. Big portions size. One of the better breakfast places I have been too. If you are in Quebec City old town on a vacation for few days and you like brunch or breakfast then this place is highly recommended. Make sure to reserve a spot ahead of time.
Breakfast tip: If you don’t have a reservation on a busy or long weekend then show up between 8-8:30am for a walk-in. It’s usually fully booked starting 9am on long weekends.
We came here for brunch and the experience was great. Friendly service and tasteful food. I had the crepes with smoke tout and goat cheese. The flavor combined and the presentation was excellent. My partner had breakfast casseroles with sausage, bacon and eggs. It looks simple but the flavor cannot be under estimated.
The restaurant decor feels like a hunter house. Make sure you check out their unique designed restroom ;).
Loved the breakfast here a bit too much. I thought the salmon crepes sound a bit weird so like I always do I tried it and absolutely loved it! The flavors go so well together. The breakfast poutine was another delicious flavorful option if you love a big breakfast. The service was excellent and I loved the interior 🥇

I studied this place before coming here - saw great reviews, and right off the bat ordered their chicken waffle.
The brunch was unique and delicious.
It somehow had some spicy taste to it.
The maple/caramel syrup went well with the waffle and chicken, and the chicken was very well cooked and crispy. The blueberries were not sour but sweet!
The brunch, however, was pretty heavy, fyi for future visitors.
I enjoyed my choice nonetheless!

Extremely tasty spot for brunch for two or the family! We got the Chicken and waffles with butter and maple syrup and 🍗🧇 my god it was incredible! I had to savour every single bite but it was so tasty I ate it up so fast! We also got the Grandma's Omelette 🥚🍄which was loaded with mushrooms! The last dish was the two eggs and sausage 🍳🍳 (you can swap the sausage out for bacon 🥓 or ham). Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly!
The service was great very quick to help take your order, bring you water, refill your coffee ☕and to bring out your food!
The bathroom area and decor was super neat, with a tub 🛁 situated in the middle of the room to wash your hands. Single toilet 🚽 stalls with lots of character due to all the graffiti inside was a cool experience!
An excellent place to stop for some delicious food in the Quebec City!
Delicious lunch and we were ushered in to this busy restaurant in 5 minutes with our family group and seated in a more private dining area. All of our dishes were fabulous Quebec cuisine, such as poutine, meat pie, blueberry crepes and a brunch meal. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs.
One of the best breakfast/brunch we had on recent trip to Quebec city! Delicious food! Very nice décor and friendly staff. French toast with loads of maple syrup, crepes or waffles everything was great! Book in advance otherwise you may not get a seat. Do visit if you can.
