Came here on a whim and I am so glad we did! Quaint atmosphere with friendly service and great food. The steak and kidney pie was delicious. Fries and gravy were done to perfection. It's too bad they're only open from 8am to 2pm. I would definitely come back for supper!
We have had a delightful experience each and every time we have eaten here. The service is friendly and prompt. The food is served promptly and is delicious - real home cooked food. The food is always excellent - we eat here very often - up to once a week and have always had great food and great service. The decor in the restaurant is plain but I am not coming to eat the decor! Qualicum Beach is an older community and yes, the servers aren't 25 but if you want a great meal - eat at the Cockney Pride.
I’m so happy I’ve finally made the time to try this place! Great cheery staff and the restaurant itself is relaxed and charming . The food is delicious and made to order ! Definitely a great lunch spot either with a friend or on your own. Also a plus is you can call ahead and order to go !
This is by far my favourite restaurant in Qualicum. I've been going there for years and have never been disappointed. Their portions are great, their staff is really friendly and the cooks are amazing. I love it If I could rate higher I would.
I have always felt that you cannot screw up a breakfast but I have been proven wrong over and over...deep fried potatoe cubes (yuck!)...over or undercooked bacon, bacon that has been cooked 1/2 hour earlier and slapped on the grill to warm up (yuck), over/ under cooked eggs, toast either cold/ too little margarine/over or under cooked, cold food .........I went to Cockneys the first time about 6 months ago...super impressed....absolutely perfect breakfast so I thought that it was a one off and went again...exactly the same perfect result.......the real challenge was bringing my wife who is a little ( a lot) fussy at restaurants.... She was super impressed and wants to go back for lunch.....not only great food but very friendly, quick and attentive service...Family team of Mom and son, I believe, is nice to see.
Dropped in first time. Had the BIGGY breakfast. Wow. Hot and tasty and terrific price. Won't have to eat for the remainder of the day. Service was friendly and efficient. Definitely plan to return.
Adorable little place, and the family that runs it are lovely. Good food that's made quickly. It feels comfortable and welcoming and there's that little extra love in the food you can actually feel.
If you live anywhere on Vancouver Island, or you're just passing through, this charming little place is worth the trip for lunch. My party of three just had fish & chips, corned beef on rye, and chicken curry - all excellent!
