Awesome beach food for a relaxing day at Port Dover beach! Fish and chips and delicious and so is the poutine. Another fave is the butterfly shrimp! Check it out :)
A perfect day to enjoy Knechtel’s - crowds are gone - breeze off the lake was fresh and the food - oh the food was SO SO yummy and the staff are lovely! Fish was perfect, fries were crispy, gravy was thick how I like it and that coleslaw is fabulous!
Great spot to grab some food. A little pricey for what it is but the quality is there! Friendly staff, tasty food! Not much more you can ask for in a busy location.
Knechtel’s is the absolute best place to get food in Port Dover. I had the Haddock Dinner and it was incredibly delicious! The best fish and chips I've ever had! The lineup was a bit long even at the end of the day, but it was worth the wait. I sat at the picnic tables on the beach to enjoy the meal which was also very nice. I recommend the perch!
The BEST perch fish ever! Always willing to drive over an hour just for knetchels perch.
Tip: bring ur own tortillas and make amazing perch tacos with their crispy perch, fresh coselaw & right on tartar sauce.
Our family loves Knechtel's on the Beach.
