My partner and I finally got a chance to go this evening after eyeing the place for a few weeks now. We live just down the street so it’s excellent for us. Spectacular food and drinks. My partner ordered a “Maya Mule” and she loved how refreshing it tasted. I had a “Chúuk Margarita” and it was nice and strong with just the right amount of tartness. We shared an order of guacamole which was out of this world and tasted like how it’s done in Mexico. The chips were crispy and salted to perfection. We also shared an order of “Fried Squid Tacos” and “Cochinita Pibil Tacos” (which is kind of like a pulled pork style or “carnitas” in Mexico). The Squid was not what I expected...it was perfectly seasoned and cooked and wasn’t “fishy” at all like most squid dishes can be if not done properly. I would definitely get them again. The best though were the Cochinita Tacos. A large portion of perfectly marinated pork on authentic Mexican style tortillas. Absolutely delicious. This is a great date spot. Reminds me of a sophisticated take on traditional Yucatan style food. Looking forward to going back again!
Dined there yesterday evening and FINALLY a restaurant in Pickering that has taken it up a notch on serving unbelievably fresh, local and outstanding tasting food. The owners have really done a fabulous job with setting up an amazing ambiance in the restaurant; the decor is tasteful and modern and you can tell they have thought about even the finest details of the space. The drink menu is very diverse, ranging from really unique tasting cocktails, wide range of wines, to locally brewed craft beer. Food menu is limited but I commend any restaurant that focuses on a few dishes and ensures the upmost quality of each item; I can only hope the menu will be changed up every so often. All in all, a great spot in Pickering for all those foodies out there! You will not be disappointed.
This is by far the best restaurant in the Durham region. The food is fresh, local, nutritious, delicious and made with Love! The owners and staff are amazing! I could eat there everyday! I highly highly recommend it!! �����
