Our family had a Sunday brunch at the Dragon Yan. I was most impressed with the quality, freshness and flavor of the food. I found the prices to be very reasonable. Chef Ron and his wife Cherry were most gracious hosts and even took the time to come out and visit with us and take family photos for us. Peterborough is truly lucky to have this new Cantonese restaurant which is truly a gem!
My son and I just visited Dragon Yan for the first time, after hearing everyone raving about it.
Our foray was a definite success; the service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner came out to greet everyone during their meals. The food was delicious; a lovely authentic change from ‘buffet-style’ Chinese food, and the kitchen cheerfully accommodated our request for meals to be made with tofu instead of meat.

I ordered for pick up and it did take a bit to get ready, but WOW worth the wait.
Recently moved here and have been searching for a good Chinese food restaurant. This one tops them all.
Absolutely delicious all around. The veggies were fresh and crisp. It wasn't overly saucey. The rice wasn't soggy and it wasn't underdone crunchy either! The wonton soup was not bad either!
Will order from here again!
Picked up take out while travelling through Peterborough, and was really impressed with the time it took to prepare, the packaging, and most of all, the taste!
The egg rolls here are obviously home made, and delicious. Portions are huge, leaving enough food for lunch the next day.
Highly recommend!
First impressions:
As soon as you enter the place you find yourself making a little trip to a piece of China, the music and the atmosphere is very peaceful.
Then we have this young lady so friendly and nice, welcoming us and making us feel comfortable.
The place was neat, clean and nice.
The food:
I found it excellent, the flavor and quality was neat. Everything I tried had a very authentic flavor. Nothing overcooked or raw, perfect texture and softness.
I liked it, I'll come back for sure.
I ordered two meals plus an order of egg foo yung, and it was delicious with great serving sizes. I especially loved the chicken fried rice. This is our new favourite Chinese food restaurant in Peterborough!
