Wow. Very beautifully landscaped RV and yurt village. We stayed 2 nights in a Yurt. And had a fantastic time.
Everything was as advertised and as mentioned in the reviews.
We stayed in the Rainbow Trout yurt … right on the beach.
What can I say? The view was amazing, the yurt was beautiful, but slightly smaller than advertised.
It said it could sleep 7-8, but the queen mattress in the loft is not usable in any form of hot weather. We lifted the dome and tried to get an extension cord to run a fan, but it was just too hot. We placed it in the main room and all was good.
The caretakers were awesome.
Bring ear plugs if you don’t like road noise. It wasn’t that bad, but it can be annoying if you are used to being in a quiet bedroom.
The kitchen needs a few more pots and pans, but when we asked for some, they delivered them.
The deck was AMAZING. The bbq cooked perfectly.
My only regret was I had to leave.

We absolutely love our spot here at Barefoot Beach RV Resort!! We brought our destination trailer here a year ago and couldn’t be happier. Gorgeous spot, beautiful mature trees, fantastic neighbours, and beach access, what more can you ask for?!! Bree and her staff (Mike & Rob, and more) are always willing to help and take such great care of our beautiful resort!
We have stayed at Barefoot every summer since 2015 for 7 weeks. The resort has has grown and become more interesting each year. The landscaping is beautiful, the boutiques are ever changing keeping it interesting. The restaurant always has a great menu with reasonable prices, the beach is never crowded and only steps away. Through all the changes the Lindsay family has always provided great service, attention to details ,and a very clean resort. This is truly GLAMPING at a high end resort. The only downfall is that because it is so great, it gets harder each year to reserve a spot.
I took my daughter and 3 of her friends here for her 13th birthday. The yurt was great, and the resort grounds and the beach were lovely. The staff I interacted with were nice and helpful. The kids and I had a fantastic time!
Although I'd read about the noise issue in other people's reviews, I made the mistake of not taking it seriously enough. I usually sleep with a white noise machine, so I thought that would be enough. And (for some reason) I assumed the airport wouldn't be very busy. I was wrong! Not only is the highway practically at your door, planes and helicopters were frequently landing at the airport next door. Ear plugs definitely helped the second night/morning!
So, this is my warning to you, dear Googler: I recommend this resort but, bring some ear plugs. And then you'll be a happy camper! :)
(Oh, and make sure you bring shampoo and soap. This isn't a hotel.)
This is my second time here. We rented three yurts. I really like them. Great price. Get a shower and small kitchen. If you get a choice I wouldn’t recommend yurt 2 as it’s quite hidden in the back and seems closer to the busy road. Yurt 4 where my family stayed was a lot nicer area. Also they didn’t give us the codes to get into the resort at night or to get on to the beach. Had to ask people. Having fires on the beach at night is really nice. Nice sandy beach. We could bring our boat right up to the beach. Also walked to the play estate winery nearby for dinner. Really nice patio and view. Overall would stay here again.
