We have been there several times and we have never been disappointed. The staff, the service and the food have been excellent. As a matter of fact just going into town to run some errands and then to Elsie's for a bite to eat.
Friendly staff and great home cooked food! Would highly recommend the pulled pork poutine!
Plus, their Savour Owen Sound special menu -Pulled Pork Mac and Cheese, SOoooo good!
Great food at a very reasonable price....Good service and clean washrooms....The staff are always friendly.
I live in the neighbourhood but go on a regular basis as I consider it the best in Owen Sound.

Had breakfast here this morning. I took pictures of the diner but I was so hungry so when the food came out I forgot about my camera. The place is so cute. Done in 1950 style. they even sell Elsie wear that says " get your kicks on route 6" I love it! They play music appropriate to the time and the paraphernalia around are conversation pieces. The waitress we had was as bright as the room. Her smile was lovely and she raved about the omelettes so much I couldn't order anything else. Now for the food- the omelette was good but not enough filling and not as wonderful as our lovely server lead me to believe.. I didn't want t be weighted down for the day so i asked for an alternative to the fried potatoes and onions . They offered 2 sliced of tomatoes- I was hoping for fruit with an extra charge but I was told that wasn't possible. Too bad. My friends ordered omelettes as well- mushroom and veggie. both said it was good. They had a full caddy with PB and many types of jams and honey for the toast. If I ever get back to the Waterfalls of Grey County I will be back. Next time I might pick up a shirt as well.

Well done menu, although I am excited for the Summer menu to be released! If you're not an idiot, you can have exactly what you want, healthy OR hangover food -- lot's of choices!

As with any place dealing with the public there is bound to be the odd issue -- The servers are happy to get you EXACTLY what you want. If something's not right, they will be quick to fix it!

It is a 50's modern decor. Food is what you expect from the time period only with more taste. Prices are modern. Service was very good, Place was busy and the customers were senior side of age. If in the area I would go back. 50's food was fine in the 50's, but have so much more out there.
Cute place. This is a cute little 50's retro-styled diner (black & white checkered floor, padded red vinyl chairs and booths, chrome tables, Elvis and Marilyn posters on the walls, etc.), even the waitresses were dressed retro-style... Food on offer was simple diner fare nostalgia style as well, we both enjoyed our food, no complaints... The place was nearly full at 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon, guess they are doing something right.... I found it quite reasonably priced too, I don't think there was an entree on the menu over 12 bucks! Friendly staff.
Retro Diner Surprise!. This is a fabulous little find just off Hwy 21.Located on the west end of Owen Sound.

I had a grilled Cheese sandwich that had grilled mushrooms on it! Never thought of that myself- tasted fantastic! My daughter had the Garlic Bread and Cesar Salad- she enjoyed thoroughly. My husband had the Fish and Chips- delicious batter, fantastic fresh fish.
Only let-down was the very, very small portion of coleslaw that came with the Fish and Chips.. It was served in a tiny container that the tartar sauce was also served in. Really should have been more.
Family friendly food and nostalgic atmosphere. Good prices and friendly staff. Already thinking about returning for the Liver and Onions!!
