Great food and great service

I'd heard that this restaurant could get really busy during the lunch hour rush, so I called ahead to place my order. I was curious to know if their combination plates came with rice (they do not), so I asked if I could get it on the side, which they said was fine. I ordered the combination plate #3 (Thai curry chicken, chicken pad thai) and some spring rolls.
Once I got there to pick it up, they explained that they don't usually give rice with those dishes. I also spotted their lunch specials in the window, which are about $8 for 2 items plus rice or other options, which is a much better deal than my $13 combination plate. Oops! I felt a little silly, so now I know for next time that it's cheaper and easier to order when I get there rather than calling ahead.
The pad thai was delicious - a little sweet with lots of flavour; just the way I like it. The Thai curry chicken was great. Not spicy at all, for anyone adverse to that. There were about five huge potato chunks and three pieces of chicken.
I was really pleased with the service. They gave me the rice with no problem and no extra charge. The food was good and getting everything was quick and easy. Will be back!
Good place for Lunch. If you work downtown closer to Kent you've probably heard of this place, or seen the lineup at lunch time! 8 bucks gets you 2 choices from their food lineup and that comes with either steamed or fried rice and a spring roll. The amount of food is quite generous IMO and I often have some left over for later. I recommend the yellow curry and general tao's! FYI the hours cater to the lunch crowd through the week. 4/5.
Quick Lunch. Delicious and fast Thai food. I wouldn't reccomend the friend rice, but the steamed white rice and all other options are amazing. My favourite would be the light curry chicken. Excellent service, but can get very busy at lunch so try to go early (before12).
One of my fav places to eat downtown. Prices are reasonable and the food is always very yummy.
