I had a wonderful meal at this unpretentious, family owned, restaurant. We had the lamb with cumin (their speciality), hot & dry eggplant and spicy green beans. It was all delicious and the service was fast and friendly. I love the vibe of this place. There are not a lot of tables, perhaps ten (10) in all. But it is cheap and cheerful and good quality.
This is an old school authentic Chinese restaurant. Not fancy, but delicious authentic food.
My favourites are the green beans, and cumin lamb, as well as their general Tao chicken. There are several other dishes that look great, but I'm not sure of their names...
They also have a section of "American" Chinese dishes, but I stick to the other side of the menu...
Everything was wonderful. The thick and supple noodles were pleasantly spicy and sat in an addictive cold sesame soy dressing. The lamb was spectacular... tender meat, cut relatively finely to increase surface area, fried to a very slight crisp, and tossed with a cumin-centric blend of spices. The green beans were great too—spicy and accompanied by a generous amount of savoury ground pork.
