I’ve been visiting this cafe for few weeks now and it’s a hidden gem (or I wasn’t so aware of 😅)
The staffs here are friendly, and the cafe is spacious.
The drink and desserts are tasty, and it’s a chill aesthetic place to study/visit.
They also have a piano at the back you can play!

Best coffee in Ottawa, so far. The staff is friendly and I always get a consistent quality in my coffee. Also a great place to buy freshly roasted beans.
The cafe vibe is casual,l and warm. There's a small patio/outdoor seating space. Lots of parking space.
I love grabbing a coffee and walking around this area. It's industrial but quiet and filled with art studios.
You'll leave here happy as a goat :)

The atmosphere is awesome (I've only been to the one on Laurel), like getting transported into another location when you cross the door.
Food (scone and muffin) were tasty, coffee delicious!
I can't give 5 stars because there was no butter for the scones (gasp!) and I had to ask to get the scones warmed up.
Will definitely go back (hopefully they've added butter for the scones!).

Great selection of drinks and coffee. Cool and sweet snacks. They have a cold tea of the day. This place is a hidden gem. Awesome patio. Friendly and attentive staff. Wide variety of demographic go there. Cool to people watch and see different walks of life. The vibe here is positive and just something we can all use. Great atmosphere. Definitely going here more often this summer. Cheers y'all 👍

Had the seasonal dring “toasted marshmallow latte” i would say 10/10 definitely tasted the toastiness. Great space, serene atmosphere. Recommend for the coffee lovers with a good book and love of art! Forgot to take photos 😔

Friendly staff that provided awesome service. Truly the best chai latte I’ve ever had! Tried the veggie sandwich here and it’s delicious. I also enjoyed the casual atmosphere. It’s a great place to study or chat. I highly recommend this place for students!

Hands down the best coffee in town! I've been going for years and putting all my friends onto Happy Goat coffee. They sell their beans, which I recommend buying.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! They know exactly how to grind up your coffee based on how you make it. They also know what type of coffee would be best suited for you.
If you're unsure, just ask them!

I use to love encouraging Happy Goat and would enjoy their coffee until last week. Last Thursday (March 29) I was at their Elgin St. location and a lady fell down a hole in the middle of their floor. The employees were so nonchalant about the whole thing that they could barely bother to care about this poor lady. The staff left two strangers in the coffee shop to take care of the lady and call emergency services. The staff went back to their jobs (and to sit down). I wrote to the owner last week and never heard back. I can no longer encourage such a business that doesn’t seem to care about their customers.

Happened by the Happy Goat cafe on Wilbrod (Sandy Hill area) today and although I enjoyed their breakfast sandwich and coffee, when I went to use the bathroom I found it extremely dirty - baseboards caked in dirt and dust, floor covered in spills of ‘something’ and paper garbage, the toilet both at the seat area and floor area had pubic hairs, yellow stains and dirt. I was quite disgusted especially since this was in the morning. Not a place I’d be excited to go back to.

Amazing place. Sad that we can no longer bring our dog, though. It’s hard to get out of the house to study in a cafe when you can’t leave the dog home alone or bring him to a cafe. (Separation anxiety.) amazing place and I’m sorry that someone ruined it for the rest of us with dogs.

It's out of the way but I think that adds to its charm. Nothing fancy but the coffee is so good and the staff are super friendly. Tables and chairs and some comfy, cushy living room chairs and a sofa to plop yourself into. They also have a nice big windowed garage-style door that they open on nice days. My new favourite coffee shop in Ottawa

Happy Goat is the best spot for espresso drinks in Ottawa and beyond. Their espresso is truly the best I have ever had, rich chocolatey and cherry notes, so delicious. They even do mail orders, free shipping, so out on the east coast we can still enjoy Happy Goat all year long!!

This is one of those little neighborhood hideaways that other try to imitate. Live music can be played if you can stroke keys on the piano. Ambience is cozy with soft seating and tables available. Book parties and enjoy the quality coffee been the owner travel over sees to bring back to our taste buds. Over all I'm very impressed with this coffee house that also serves independent labeled beer.
