Came here on a weeknight.
We ordered the steak fajitas for two people. It was extremely delicious. Even though I ordered the steak well done, it was still juicy and full of flavor. The tortillas were also delicious, they were soft and chewy. The toppings were great , came with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc.
You also get free chips and salsa as appetizers.
The service was fast.
Where they lost a star was on the pricing. I felt like it was expensive for what we ordered. The portion of steak was only enough for one person and the toppings were scarce (and they charge for refills). Though, it was expensive, I would come again, but not too often.

Loved the alligator tales starter that we got. Never tried them before but were actually tasty. Our server was Bailey and she was great. I love the ambience, the servers are fantastic and warm.
We ordered fish tacos, sautéed shrimps, a steak and the portions were actually generous.
Firstly you get chips and salsa for free so honestly you don’t even need to order a starter
Second thing I loved was the Mexican bull dog cocktail. Absolutely delicious.
I did not enjoy the Mexican poutine and I found the sautéed shrimps to be abit bland. It ddnt quite feel like we got value for money because you could literally count the pieces of shrimp on the plate and cost was about $16 or so.
The fish tacos and curly fries were good. My steak was cooked medium well and tasted good
Honestly , the food was average with a few exception. I gave a 5 rating because overall it wasn’t a bad experience.

The fish tacos are delicious, large, and filling! Our server was so friendly and our group had a great time (the margaritas might have helped as well). Definitely would recommend!

Went to Lonestar tonight (Gibford off Hunt Club) and ordered the Rocket Man. When I received it it looked like someone had already drank half of it. (Notice only half the glass had salt). When I mentioned it to the waitress she said that's how it's served.
I asked to speak to a manager, and Jasper came to talk to us. He blame corporate for having misrepresenting photos in their advertisement.
I had the same drink at an other Lonestar and the glass was actually full
This was poorly managed by Jasper. My friends and I defintely will avoid this location from now on!

Always great fajitas, not the same homemade fajitas bread as I remember from way back when. Churos dangerously delicious should be two caramels! Great service. Update: They have fixed loud squeeky noise coming from the kitchen! :)

The meal was standard Lone Star...Very good. I did notice that now they are charging $0.99 for a very small amount of extra cheese for the fajitas when normally the sour cream etc are unlimited.
The service however was less than Lone Star acceptable. We asked three times for a plate and never got one. Then we asked three times for a napkin and again, never got one. At which point the my mother asked our main server politely ( without any sarcasm etc.) " How many times do we need to ask for a napkin?" A valid question as apparently three times is not enough. The restaurant was not busy and there was plenty of staff. Honestly the system of service they switched to a few year back where anyone can bring your food and drinks to the table works for food and drink but after that they have no real connection to your table thus they don't care enough to bring you a fork, plate, napkin or anything you ask for. $165.00 dollar bill before tip which will likely not return to this location.

The food was ok. just ok. Rice and cheese toppings were crispy dry. Fajita chicken and beef had a nice taste. wraps were very good and fresh. portions for fajitas for two was a complete rip-off. Service staff was friendly and tried their best but slow and not around much. That’s more an issue with management than staff. But the icing on the cake is being charged for the ice cream they brought out for a kid’s birthday celebration. ... give the kid a free ice cream scoop on their birthday or charge more for something half decent. That’s just common sense. With so many options, I won’t be coming back.

Terrible enchiladas but good chips and salsa. Beer was nice and cold but slim selection. Service and general quality was ok. Would not recommend for Mexican but the menu seems to have a large selection of burgers.

Best fajitas. Good food and awesome drinks. Perfect for a date or boys night. Friendly staff as well. They don't offer free chips and dip anymore. I think it's a dollar now? Still worth it!

Was a great experience overall. We did have to wait 5 minutes to be seated even though the restaurant was not full we were told we were waiting for a waitress to come and show us to our seats. We ordered and food was delivered fast and was hot. My one complaint is that it felt like we were being rushed. There were plenty of tables free yet we were constantly being checked on and asked if we were still picking away at things when we clearly had our mouths full of food. I think it was the male manager but he was being a bit touchy and very close with the female staff members. It's a bit awkward and I can only imagine what the employees feel about that.

If I could give negative points I would we sat for over an hour after we ordered and only received our drinks. We ordered 2 steak fajitas. I ate all the topping. We still waited. I drank my orange juice which was mostly ice, I had to request water. The couple that arrived after us got served before us. They explained later it was because we ordered steak, but honestly steak takes 10 minutes maximum so i guess the chef was having a stroke because we only ordered two steak fajitas, which is really only one steak between two people. We asked for it to go, she said the chef is working on it, so we waited, she handed the receipt and we noted she charged us the regular price on an item that was a deal, we only ordered it because it was on the deal menu.

Tacos and fajitas are good for a tex mex place in Ottawa. Just had the bbq pork carnitas sandwich but they forgot the "carnitas" part. It was just bbq pulled pork like you'd get from any rib joint. I was thinking of giving this place a 3.0 but the country music that plays in the background had my wife and i bleeding from the ears and tapping our fingers on the table waiting for the bill, which couldnt have come any sooner. If you want ribs and fajitas without any character or authenticity just go to Montanas. Your eardrums wil thank you.

I came here for lunch during the week one day. I tried their salmon, and asked for extra veggies with it. The portion of veggies they brought was quite large, and I was pleasantly surprised. The salmon itself was a little overcooked (but barely) and still quite delicious, the flavours of the marinade were excellent.<br/><br/>The service was a little on the slow side, and we had to flag down our server a few times. But overall, it was quite good. I would certainly go back.

We went to lone star for fajitas and a drink. First night was great second night was great also. <br/><br/>I have issue with the lounge area and the first come first served for the booths in the area. It was extremely busy our second night and we waiting in the lounge for our hostess to notify us when our table was ready. We waited at least 40 mins and noticed a table was leaving the lounge. My 8yo daughter went over to the emptying table and turned to wave is over when another patron (a 50ish woman) said to her "I beat you kid, too bad". <br/><br/>I was appalled and told the woman she should be ashamed of herself! <br/><br/>It would be a better experience for all their waiting if the seating in the lounge was in the seating cue not a no holds barred one for all hot chairs competition. <br/><br/>Other than that...staff and food was great. Manager was forward and friendly.

Absolutely abhorrent experience. Between being tossed around four different service staff all of which seemed less then enthused about taking our simple order of Fajitas onto our fajitas being served Luke warm after 25 minutes of waiting. At this point the manager had the audacity to comment to the female table behind us that he apologized for them being neglected. Whilst making eye contact with our table and walking away.. Id sooner starve then ever dine in this establishment again.<br/><br/>To clarify Bad Service, Poor Management, Luke Warm Fajitas<br/>

Got food poisoning here last Thursday evening. Should have left when waitress delivered food, drinks with wet hands. Should have left when fajitas arrived lukewarm and burned (yes, both). Enough said.

when I arrive the lane was long and I knew I was going to wait for a long time, but at my surprise 15 to 20 after my arrival I was seated. Are waiter was really nice and funny (Congrats Shotgun) Everytime we needed something he was there in a minute. He also toke the time to explain a little bit on the menu because it was are first time there. For me and my friends the dinner was nice, even if we were only French person at my table are waiter did his best and for that he deserve atleast 11/10 but for the place and all the other thing in the restaurant a 8/10..... We will definitely go back even if its an hour from home!!!good job Lonestar grew....

Horrible service. Mediocre food! Side order came out wrong. The rice was cold. The salad dressing never made it on the plate. The server completely ignored me when I tried to get her attention to ask for the salad dressing. Won't be returning. Just good atmosphere doesn't make up for poor service & just ok food!

Do NOT recommend!!. Ordered takeout and waited over 45 mins plus longer than told. Food was horrible. Service (servers in takeout area) was the worst part. I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Lone Star Hunt Club needs experienced servers. The service was the worst I have ever had, ANYWHERE! Brought me a beer with no glass, when I asked for one it was a huge deal. Forgot a friends drink, when finally got his attention to ask about it he realized he had not put the order in. Ordered fajitas, he forgot to bring a plate, cutlery and trimmings. When he finally finished serving another table was able to get his attention, meanwhile my food is sitting here getting cold, just to mention a few! Seems like a lot of staff but 50% are probably not even old enough to serve alcohol. Lots of young girls at the front reception, most not needed. And, they do not take reservations! Food was good, will go back to Lone Star but not that one.

Wonderful experience!. We have eaten here three times since it opened and my family just loves the place. We celebrated 3 birthdays so far at the Hunt Club location and the service has been top notch. They made us feel like family and even though the place was packed we all felt very comfortable. I have eaten at all the Lone Stars in Ottawa and I would say the food here tastes the freshest and the portions are very generous....This place is a must!

Underwhelmed.... Went to this Lonestar for the first time after many years of having frequented the one on Baseline. Decor - pretty nice. Music - alternated between country and pop. Not my cup of tea. If I wanted to listen to pop I'd go to a bar downtown but it was tolerable. Food - it was okay, still working out the kinks I think. Meat was overcooked, far less veggies than usual. It was certainly edible. Service - she was really sweet...but at the end of the meal, I ordered ice cream. When it arrived, it was covered in Walnuts and I have a nut allergy. My bad but I never expected walnuts on ny ice cream. When I told her, she offered to take it away, but not to replace it. Not that impressed. So I paid for ice cream that I couldn't eat. Frustrating. Doesn't make me wanna go back!

Tried out the new lone star. Place is nice and new and very open. Was ample staff. I was greeted by five people all looking at me and greeting me my head was swivelling , i didnt know where to look who to look at and who to answer. I was brought to my table with small talk the whole way. The bartender is very inexperienced. The food was decent. On the way out i was again greeted by about 6 people this time....was a little much...kinda overkill. This place will kill it with a faster and experienced bartender and a little less in the trying so hard overkill service. Its nice to have great service but it was overkill and kinda annoying and overwhelming.
