Hunters is our 'go to' place for good food and a great night out. The menu is varied and has some absolute gems on it; the east meets east wontons are to die for, hand made with love and care, and they're so tasty. The meat loaf is gorgeous. Charles and his team have 'tweaked' the menu over the last year and there's something for everyone. The range of beer on tap and wine on offer is second-to-none; Charles really knows his beers and has a great relationship with many of the local craft breweries. There's always something going on at the Hunters, be it some cracking local performers or fun activities. The patio is great when it's open. All in all, whether you're wanting a dinner for two or a meal for a party, we can really recommend Hunters.

Hubby, me and 2 kids, 7-10. Kids had never been and they just LOVED it!
Their meatloaf is simply wonderful. Comfort food at its best. The kids portions are perfect. Not crazy oversized.
Tonight was also the super bowl and they were busier than expected. We had to wait a little longer for the kids desserts. What happened? Kids got more ice cream because it took a bit longer then expected! �
Our server regularly came out to apologize for any delay, but we did not feel as though anything was taking too long. The focus on the customer is what sets this place apart for me.... That and the kick a** food!
This is going to become our regular family AND date night place. My hubby's plans are to try everything on the menu... But the meatloaf! Swoon. I don't know... I don't want any other choices �
First time there tonight, staff was extremely welcoming the food was delicious. Great atmosphere with games to play while you have a drink. We will be back for sure. Thank you to our server tonight (didn't catch his name) but he was awesome.
Went back to hunters today May 21st for the fourth time. Found out the name of the gentleman who made our first time at hunters awesome! He wasn't our server tonight but he made sure to come say hi to us! Big shoutout to josh! Your awesome
Such a great spot for families. We had a waiter by the name of Jesse that was outstanding. The food never disappoints, it’s a must try. This has turned into our family go to spot.
Literally a home away from home. One of the best pubs in town, fantastic craft beer selection, amazing food and awesome staff! If I could rate more then 5 stars I would!
Love this gem of a pub. Fantastic menu, great specials and wide variety of craft beers. Not many weeks pass without a visit.
Great food. Great service. Nice decor. Went with a big group. The patio looks very welcoming. Will definitely be going again. A little jewel in Ottawa's south end.

Bang on consistent every time. Fantastic food and great selection of craft brews make Hunter's our go-to pub. Can't say enough good things about our favourite pub!

The best 3 hours with great friends, music and food. Atmosphere is amazing.
Really impressed by this place! Great food, nice vibe (an outdoor patio!) and entertainment. We didn’t stay for the Thursday trivia but it was fun talking to the host who was going around to see if people were interested - prize changes every week but it looked like a big box of goodies for when we were there. Small place so we were in a rush to finish our meal because we were at a table that was already reserved (would recommend making a reservation because there aren’t a lot of tables). It also stated getting harder to hear the longer we stayed - but that’s normal for a pub. Highly recommend the buttermilk fried chicken Sammy (I think that’s what it was called?) with the beet walnut salad on the side. Will be back!

We had a fabulous time here today. The waiter was friendly, attentive and pleasant. He had to deal with 6 ladies catching up on life. I had the New-Hattan Seafood Chowder baby clams / haddock / salmon / shrimp / cream / tomato / potato / celery / red pepper / crispy breaded haddock / roasted garlic & cheddar scone and it was delicious, hot but not scalding, and a fair sized portion. I also had the East Meets East fried pork and shrimp wontons / Halifax donair sauce. I wasn't a fan of the sweet sauce and in hindsight could have asked for a savory sauce, but the wontons were tasty on their own. For dessert I had their inhouse cheesecake which was fluffy and light and I had it drizzled with caramel sauce. Overall a great lunch and I will happily return for dinner in the future.
Its the bacon wrapped meatloaf that got me and it was really good. (Everything with bacon is good) It was roadhouse style food but done much better than your average roadhouse. Service was friendly and efficient and the place is kept clean and polished which makes the dining experience that much better. Priced fairly as well for the size of meal you get. Lots of drinks to choose from as well. Its a good go to place for a nice relaxed casual meal.
I come here all the time with my girlfriend! the food is amazing, the staff are super friendly and if you cant get the beer you want on tap you can probably get it in a can! the outdoor patio not only has incredible charm but will also keep you warm. on top of everything the prices are very fair... I work in a restaurant and i recommend this place all the time to my guests
This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve been to in a long time. We sat outside on the patio on a beautiful evening, with our 2 year old daughter. Very child friendly but with a fantastic menu for both adults and children. The club sandwich was VERY generous and great. The French onion soup was traditional and delicious! 5 starts. You get your money’s worth, that’s for sure.
Gabrielle, our server, made us feel so welcome! It was so nice to be served by someone so friendly! She made our evening 10 times better.
We will %100 be back on our next visit to Ottawa.
The food here is great, better than what you would expect for pub food. Familiar dishes are elevated and more interesting.
They also have a great variety of beers, lots of different options to choose from. I had a blueberry one which I enjoyed very much.
Great spot! Live entertainment! Portion are more than enough and taste great. Service was excellent!
