Had the haddock and chips, with tartar sauce and coleslaw. The haddock piece was gigantic and very filling, but one end of the fish was just batter with no fish in it. The fries were very soggy but tasted great. The coleslaw didn't look very appetizing but it was actually good in taste, it looked like the cabbage was all grinded/mashed up. The tartar sauce was excellent too. The restaurant, although I did takeout, was very clean and the staff seemed friendly. Overall I will eat here again but it wasn't a perfect five stars.

I cannot recommend enough. They have gluten free options and are so careful with cross contamination/packaging the orders.
Staff has always been so friendly and food is very good. Definitely check them out whether you are gluten free or not!
The only gluten free fish and chip place I have seen around! The place has amazing haddock but the fries were a little too bit oily for me. The taste was there and I couldn't tell that it was gluten free.
We ordered 12 dozen gluten free donuts for Sierra’s graduation celebration. Sierra is celiac and her favourite place to find gluten free treats is Schooners Fish and Chips. As always, she loved the donuts and gave them a thumbs up 👍🏻 I would like to thank all the staff for putting effort into making them look so beautiful!🦋 Shout out to Cathy for her hard work and great customer service! 10/10 would recommend! I’ve been a customer of Schooners for many years and they never fail to impress!
I was so excited to have fish and chips for the first time in years since going gluten-free! It was delicious, and reheated beautifully in the air fryer as I wasn't able to eat it right away. The GF Cinnamon donuts were tasty too! Can't wait to go back to try the GF onion rings!
I very seldom am able to eat out without fear ( celiac). This was wonderful. The staff were excellent and the fish and chips exceptional. Thank you for a great meal.
This little gem is an exciting find for this Gluten Free dieter. No being able to eat gluten I was excited to find out they offer gluten free fish and chips and the best gf doughnut holes yum. What's even better is your non GF friends any family can join you while you eat there safely. They are friendly and very nice. One of my favorite Durham finds.
