Why have I only been here for Winterlicious? The owner chef does not dumb down his menu for Winterlicious. He gives it his all with choice of about 8 appetizers, 7-8 mains, and 4 desserts. The crab and lobster cake - absolutely great, with creme roe and delicious guacamole. Fresh salmon broiled in coconut and lemongrass, with smashed potatoes and garlic mayo. And then the best desert - carrot cake caramel cheesecake! Huge portion and my two fave desserts smashed together. Service was awesome. Super sweet setting with pashminas if you fell chilly. Loved it and will go outside of Winterlicious next time.
One of the best if not the best restaurant we've been to. Great place for a large gathering or a small intimate dinner. The server was very attentive, always filling our glasses of water. The best warm goat cheese on beet salad. The steak was done to perfection. Another thing I love about this restaurant, Chef personally came out and greeted us and made sure we were content/happy with our meal. You can taste the love in his dishes. Thank you Chef Fawzi, we shall return soon.
Last night Jane and I went to Veloute restaurant for the first time.
All I can say is Wow!
Chef Fawzi Kotb and his wife Alise made our dining experience so special I was truly blown away.
Having dined in most restaurants in Toronto...Montreal...New York .... I can honestly say that what we have in the beaches is such a gem...it tops my list!
Atmosphere...service...food...everything!
I think I will be a regular there when I can get away from my establishment!

give yourself a treat and go there!
