4/5
Service: A little slow with delivering the water and utensils, but was very nice.
Food: Great as usual, Tongue depressor is honestly the best instead of chocolate coco chanel icecream get the ferro roche icecream with pralines.
Ambience: Is good
Nice night out with friends. I went to my friends birthday party on a Friday last week. We went to go see a movie and then went to Caffe Demetre for desert. I had the waffles with hazelnuts, nutella, and hazelnut ice cream. The portions are huge and I barely finished mine. I also had a green tea, but it tasted really weird. Altogether, we had a fun night out. If I am really hungry after a movie ever again, expect to see me there.
This Demetre location is one of my favourites. People here who complain about the service need to realise one thing; the place is busy. If youve ever worked in that business you would know that quality of service drops the more packed a place is. When the business is lighter, I have never had a problem with service there. Anyway, the ice cream is excellent there, the coffee is OK but not the best and I enjoy going to the place once in a while. Its casual, not stuffy, you can safely bring your kids there, not too expensive and its a good selection of desserts. we are not all royalty to be treated like kings and queens everywhere we go. The staff work hard and you can tell they do. I am just a customer not involved with the place at all
I would just like to say that that I had an amazing time at this location. The portions are very large and the recipes are amazing. I had very good service when I came in with my family.
Caffe Demetres Burlington. Brant/QEW. This Demetres location is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and the cakes are all home made from a different, much better supplier.
Excellent crepes- some of the best in the chain. Service at this location is consistently slow, so be prepared for a three party line-up at the host stand followed by a "just grab a menu and seat yourselves anywhere" shout-out. Staff are great, just regularly overwhelmed. Not conducive to trying to catch a movie. Come when you're in no rush and enjoy. I recommend the cafe au lair bowl, the hokey pokey crepe, and maybe a hot cranberry-apple cider.
My favourite dessert place! I absolutely love their crepes. My favourite crepes are the Tongue Depressor and Sweetcar Named Devour. It's probably best if you skip dinner before coming here as the portions are enormous. Colourful and lively decor, and consistently great service.
