I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant. I’ve only ordered through Uber Eats but our food arrives hot, packaged carefully. The variety is wonderful and the food is amazingly fresh and so tasty!!! Everything we’ve ever ordered has served us above and beyond in freshness and flavor! And the dish sizes are generous. It’s definitely our go-to for family nights in.

Been a regular here since we moved to the neighbourhood about 8 years ago. We order anywhere from 1-3 times a month. Love the extensive menu and the food always hits the spot when your craving Chinese. Is it the best? No its not a 5 star restaurant, its a family business- but its comfort food and its delicious. Prices are in line with other Chinese restaurants. Will definitely be continuing as a regular.

I have been eating here for 2 decades as well. The negative reviews posted here are frankly an embarrassment to humanity. When looking for some easy comfort food - this place never disappoints. I should know.. its been 20+ years of patronage. They offer a ridiculously large menu from a small family business. Is it the best Chinese food I have ever had? No. Thats not the point of it. It says “humble take out” in the description people..
Is it going to be amazing delivery? No. Its a small family business - go pick it up yourself like we always have.
Does it fill a gluttonous urge to devour some tasty chinese? 100% and I’ll continue to enjoy it as long as they continue to serve our community.

I worked here 20 years ago as front desk help and whenever I order from anywhere else I am always disappointed (I wasn't living in Oakville for awhile is why I ordered from other places). I ordered delivery this evening with a girlfriend and we were soooo pleased1 They have expanded their menu since I last ordered. I ordered some of my old favorites and tried the steamed pork dumplings for the first time. So delicious. Happy I can support this wonderful family business again and enjoy amazing food

Since moving to the area 5 years ago, this is the ONLY Chinese takeout that I frequent. The food is excellent, everyone there is friendly, prices are great, wait times are as expected or better. Every single time I've ordered, I've been happy! I used to try other places but quickly realized that Dragon House is the only consistently flavorful and reliable Chinese takeout for us.

The food is very fresh; ingredients are simple and not overwhelmingly sauced. The garlic broccoli and Mongolian chicken were both really good; so was lo mein. The to-go packaging was prepared perfectly and the food was still hot when I arrived home. I think I might have found a new neighborhood gem!

Very tasty steamed buns and sweet corn soup. Quantity is reasonable too. Hot and Sour was bit sour perhaps had bit more vinegar in it.

My husband and I have been coming to Dragon House for the last 15 years. The food is always delicious and quality is always high, the wait has always been on time if not earlier with exception to some very busy holidays, the customer service has always been great! It’s still owned by the same owner and he’s always been very nice to us and very easy going. One of a few family owned restaurant in Oakville that I most treasure: local, authentic and delicious✅! Best Chinese take out in Oakville!!!!

Havent even got to the food yet. the menu prices on the website are wrong and not by a dollar here or there. The food is usually good from there so I have no issues with that but my order was 10.00 more than I was expecting. All I got was a sorry it was supposed to be changed.......

First, watch out for the fake reviews claiming this place is the best...they're a little too fake.<br/><br/>Worst "Chinese" food ever. Dumplings were overdone and soft, rubbery and doughy. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was bad - chicken was rubbery and the sauce was disappointing.<br/><br/>This stuff is made for those who don't know what this kind of food should taste like. If you want authentic Chinese, go to Perfect Kitchen. That place is awesome!

If you are really in need of tasty Chinese cuisine for your taste buds, then you need to be here. I have been a regular customer here over the years. I am quite pleased with the foods and the aromatic herbs and spices that are being used. I have tasted quite a few dishes like chilly chicken along with Noodles and rice. Frankly speaking I was taken by surprise to have tasted such inspiring culinary in this part of the world. I thought of meeting the chefs and the owner to thank them. It was really a pleasure for me to extend my gratitude and good wishes. We went to this eatery and found a truly pleasant menu. You should attempt the garlic salt and pepper prawns around $26 dollars. However, the plate was so loaded with prawns we couldn't eat them from the start with our other dish.

Fairly average. We found the ginger beef incredibly salty. The wonton soup broth is fine but the wontons are terribly doughy, and lacking any flavour. The rest of the food was fairly decent.<br/><br/>One funny thing happened, we ordered black bean beef and they must have made it up with chicken instead. On the bill you see it says black bean beef, then they crossed it out and it says chicken. The funny part is, black bean chicken doesn't appear to be on the menu!

Tried the Dragon House after reading the reviews, and boy was I disappointed.<br/> <br/>I ordered a student combo which had soft noodles, General Tao chicken, and a drink(which the store forgot to give me until I went back and asked). On the side I also ordered a chicken wonton soup.<br/><br/>The General Tao chicken was heavily breaded, considering how small the meat was inside. It had almost a spongey texture, and the chicken had a fishy flavour. The noodles were almost crispy, and extremely salty. <br/>The broth of the wonton soup was nice, however the noodle for the dumplings were thick, and the chicken inside had a weird taste.<br/>Overall the meal was bland, and lacked any significant flavour. Will not be returning.

We ordered dinner tonight, it was really yummy. The spring rolls were really crispy, the curry was nice and spicy and everything we ordered was hot and delicious. I'll definitely order from them again. The menu is on their website btw. I don't know why it's not linked here.

Dragon House Rocks!. I was surprised to see the number of poor reviews for this great little place. Its our "go to" for Chinese, always! I've tried other places and the food doesn't compare. I used to live in Oakville, moved to Burlington 5 years ago and we still order from the Dragon House. The food is always fresh and tasty and not once has our order been incorrect. The service is great especially when the owner's daughter is behind the counter :) Our favorites are the diced mixed vegetables with chicken and almonds, mushroom egg fu yung, cantonese noodles, lemon chicken and pork won ton soup. I always recommend Dragon House when someone is looking for a really good chinese food place.

Decent little place!. Ordered for pickup the Chicken Fried Rice, General Tso's Chicken, and Szechuan Beef Lo Mein. Upon arrival was met by a pleasant gentleman, who gave me my order which was neatly packaged. General Tso was really good, and the Chicken Fried Rice and Lo Mein were average. I would have liked to see some more vegetables and egg in the fried rice to make it match with the tastiness of the General Tso's. Will be going again to try out different items off the menu.

My only Chinese food place for me. I am sad to see a few poor reviews. It is a small run family business so unfortunately if it is really busy you may get a family member who does not speak English as their first language. The food is always wonderful and the owner is the lovliest man. They have a wide variety of items all so delicious I can not choose a single favourite. I love to get take out from here and support such a wonderful family business in my community

NOT good. I have lived in the neighbourhood for many years and have never ordered from here. I decided to try it tonight, spring rolls and general taos..spring rolls were not bad but the general taos was terrible. just blobs of dough, many with NO chicken, the rest with chewy things, I suppose it was chicken but it was so small i could not tell. The worse general taos ever. I will stick with funky thai although it is out of my way, worth the drive. I wasted my $$ on this meal.

Rude service, never again. I called them for takeout and was met with extreme rudeness. As I was giving the order, the guy would go silent and I'd have to ask if they were still on the line, then said they wouldn't deliver to me because my order was under $20, which it wasn't, if he had listened to my order, so I had to have it corrected. I asked for part credit part cash and was rudely responded to again, demanded to know how much cash I had and wasn't paying attention to what I was asking at all. My card was declined and before I could offer to use another card the guy belted NOT DELIVERING NOW, NO DELIVERY UNTIL YOUR CARD WORK. That's when I hung up.

Tasty food. I have ate from the Dragon house many times. I have never had a bad meal from this restaurant. My only issue is that they are so busy they forget at least 1 item every tine I order. Usually the item I like best. But if you call them they apologise, bring the item to your house free. Even if you picked up from there store! My other pet peave is if you order for a 6 pm pick up you usually have to wait 10-20 mins from pick up time. But the food is worth the wait. Friendly family business.

Nasty!. Was expecting a good meal with the high approval rating. Easily the worst Chinese food we ever had...Way too much batter on the Ginger Beef and Salt and Pepper Squid. 3/4 of the Ginger Beef was batter (no exaggeration). The batter on the Squid was soft and doughy and the squid was tasteless (Except for the greasy after taste). The fried rice was burnt tasting. <br/><br/>Surprisingly this place is a neighborhood favorite, judging from the number of people waiting orders and the high approval rating.
