Stopped by Johns BBQ on the way to Niagara Falls and wasn't really expecting much. The place itself is located in a strip plaza in the middle of the 'burbs so there's nothing but families, parks, and schools around. But on this little island in the burbs, you'll find some incredibly moist Portugese chicken.
The place is tiny and didn't even have a counter or chairs to eat at even if you wanted to (and man, did we want to). The takeout counter has many of the hot foods on display, but when it comes to the chicken, it's sealed away in this rotisserie oven just waiting for the next person to come snatch it up.
Chicken is moist and meaty. The skin isn't crisp or anything, which was a downer, but the flavor of the hot sauce with the chicken really makes this place a worthy stop. You can get a half chicken for roughly $6 and it's not going to be enough. You'll want (and need) more. Most of the patrons coming in were only coming to pick up party platters and such. They have many other items, but why would you get anything else?
Pretty good. Been here only once but gotta say you cant complain.
Prices are very reasonable and the portions are awesome. To me the chicken and the potatoes are the best, cant get enough.
Really enjoyed the spicy grilled chicken and potatoes. Service was pretty quick too. Will definitely be going back.
Hands down best local portuguese restaurant. You wont find better rottiserie or bbq chicken anywhere else near you. Great prices to for big servings
Mmm Chicken..... Location is a old strip mall in a residential area and the inside of the restaurant is not much to look at but the food is excellent. Ask for spicy. It's not really spicy but super flavorful.
