Review Thai Smile - Oakville

Great place for a weekday business or casual lunch. Fresh Thai cuisine with a lot of mouth watering choices and reasonable prices. Real delicious ginger tea. Spacious location with easy access and pleasant service.

We had a terrific night thanks to the excellent service, delicious food, and excellent drinks, as well as the reasonable price. We will undoubtedly return there in the near future. I've spent years searching for the greatest Thai restaurants in Mississauga in search of the best pad Thai . This is when my search came to an end. This eatery comes highly recommended.

Food was okay. Called before hand to warn of a nut allergy before ordering my food. Was reassured that they’d be careful in prepping my food. Still had an allergic reaction as they definitely did not prep my food carefully. Avoid if you have any nut allergies. Thai restaurants downtown Toronto are better at preventing cross contamination with their nuts

Best Thai in Oakville. Bahn Thai in downtown Oakville has the same menu as it’s owned by the same people. Dry red chicken curry is outstanding. Siamese beef is terrific. Garlic beef is similar and just as good. Pad Thai… it’s all great.

The worst soup I have ever had. Ordered two Tom yum soups and it was literally just broth, a few very over cooked scraps of chicken and about one mushroom in each for $8 per soup. Lemongrass in broth was also hard. Complete rip off and the worst soup ever, will not be ordering anything else from here again.

The food we ordered: pineapple shrimp curry, shrimp pad Thai, mixed vegetables, side of rice. Pineapple shrimp curry: awesome. Nice kick to it and flavourful. Good sized shrimp, but the veggies were a little on the raw side. Great portions. Mixed vegetables: great portion, but undercooked. I’m not sure if they are steamed or stir fried so they were too much on the raw side, wish they were a little more soft but that’s just a personal preference! Cant speak on the Shrimp Pad Thai, but my significant other very much enjoyed it. Restaurant looked clean but empty. However, a lot of people came in to pick up food. The benches are peeling which isn’t really cute lol. The staff was nice. They were wearing masks when we were there. We would totally go back! Our goal is to find the best Pineapple Curry and Pad Thai in Oakville 😊

Nice to have a Thai restaurant in the neighbourhood that is consistently good. Lunch specials are delicious and most include a soup/springroll - fairly quick service and good value. Spicy shrimp is one of my favourite items, along with the basil beef + red curry.

Visited with family of 3 teens for Fri dinner. Everybody loved it and would go back again. Fresh, clean, authentic, stylish, classy. +food was excellent and they definitely didn't skimp on the ingredients +nice decor, simple and elegant with a lot of natural woods +open and airy inside +washrooms are stylish, but they could use some markings on door +easy to access, easy parking in lot +friendly and helpful waitress who did well considering she was all alone in the front of the house - service was a little slow, but they were very apologetic and the one lady - washrooms could use markings, but it's nice they are gender non-specific - overhead interior lighting is a little harsh after it gets dark outside

Have to say it's not a bad Thai restaurant in Oakville. But the place is not as good as the other reviewers said it was. Not as authentic and can't compare to the ones in downtown. The environment and service are very good regardless.

Love this place! We drive past many Thai restaurants on the way to the Thai Smile, and we always will! The food is very high quality, servers are attentive and sweet, and the atmosphere is very peaceful. I am so glad we tried this restaurant on a whim, we have returned many times and have never been disappointed. It is worth every penny!!! Highly recommend!

Great Food. Went last night with seven friends and we all loved this restaurant. The food was incredible. Everything was fresh and extremely tasty. The mango salad and pad thai were fantastic.

Strongly recommend this restaurant to everyone and especially those in the Postmaster and Dundas area. Lets support local retailers.

I have tried many thai restaurants and this one is by far the best in Oakville. The food is fresh and very tasty. The pad thai, mango salad, green curry are all fantastic. The service is great and the staff are very nice. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great thai restaurant!! Support this local thai restaurant!!!

Very good Thai food. We were there for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. This would be our new go to place for lunch. It is a neighbourhood gem. Hot and Sour Soup was great. Their spring rolls were also fresh and delicious. I also love their Mango Salad and Green Curry Chicken. Service was friendly and attentive.

Delish!. Went for our anniversary dinner. Made it at 830 on a Sunday after getting the little one too bed, and although their hours end at 9 on a Sunday, we were not rushed and reassured to take our time and enjoy. The hot and sour soup was excellent. Mango salad was made with fresh sweet and tangy mangoes. The vegetarian green curry was another hit. Overall portion sizes were average. Ended up with a bill for 80 for 2, for 3 appetizers and 2 entrees and drinks, which is very reasonable. This will be our new go to thai restaurant in oakville. Enjoy!

Excellent and authentic Thai Food. I have eaten at Thai Smile 4 times over the last year. I agree with some of the other comments, that the food has become progressively better. It was very good right from the start, but now is excellent. While a bit pricey up font, the portions are generous, and we fed 6 adults with leftovers for $100 with lots of variety. I have done take out and eaten in. For both the service has been very good and friendly. We ate there twice over the past week, and I still enjoyed the leftovers today. I consider myself a bit of a Thai food snob, and right now this is my favourite Thai Restaurant in Oakville. It is worth the drive if you like authentic Thai Food.

Nice looking restaurant. In a small strip mall. We shared a Mango Salad. Nice fresh ripe Mango. We had Veg Pad Thai. Perfectly cooked Tofu. Nice selection of Vegtables, tasted great. Also had Stir Fried Chicken. Sauce was a bit thin, good flavour.

Service was friendly. We would go back.

Authentic Thai. In having traveled to Thailand many times and having spent months there sampling the local fares I can say that Thai Smile hits the mark in comparison to what other local eateries in the Oakville area can offer.
Thai Smile provides authenticThai food at a reasonable price and while I have admittedly only purchased 'take out' the service has been both prompt and friendly.
The decor is fresh and pleasant and meets expectations. Really, unless we are rating a 5 star establishment who care's, as long as it is clean and comfortable.
Yes, the soups are good and can include Lemongrass pieces at times, as this is where some of the magnificent flavour comes from. If, you are worried about this then stick to boring Consemme or Tomato soup.
Keep up the great work !

More Like "Thai Frown". Our favourite local thai joint is currently closed, so my partner and I thought we'd try Thai Smile. Never again. While the place is quite nicely appointed, the service was terrible. Our appetizers came out quite quickly, however, it was over 20 minutes more before my partner received his entree, and mine was an additional 10 minutes getting to the table. We ordered the shrimp chips to start, which were okay, and the peanut sauce had a nice zing to it. I had the chicken coconut soup which was not great. The broth was quite watery, and not very flavourful, and there were small pieces of inedible lemongrass and lime leaf floating around in it, which presented quite a challenge and a choking hazard. My partner had the shrimp rolls, to which he said were okay.

We both had pad thai for our mains, mine chicken, his shrimp. Seriously, I've had better pad thai at the food court in the mall. It had no flavour, no spice, no heat, no tang, nothing. Keep in mind that this was $13-$14 pad thai which we'd waited nearly 30 minutes for, definitely not worth the money. Despite my disappointment with dinner, I didn't complain as I was tired and hungry, and really just wanted to get out of there. While the decor is nice, there's no atmosphere.

At $70 for the 2 of us, and being a less than lacklustre meal I can assure the owners of Thai Smile that we will not be returning.

Great ambiance, service, and food. Good prices.. It was very impressive in all respects. Had the pad thai and it was great. The service was exceptional, and I was surprised at how "fancy" the place was. Very nice decor, clean and stylish plates, and the lunch options came with free soup and a spring roll!

Definitely a well kept secret, would recommend you try it.

Nice place but hidden. We saw this plaza finish construction and noticed that a Thai restaurant was opening up. We tried it when it first opened and it had its difficulties. Food was okay, but the service was slow. The decor in the restaurant is quite nice.

We decided to try this place again just to see if being in business for some time made a difference. The service is still slow, but the food has gotten much better. The dishes are a bit on the pricey side, but the portions are a good size, and they are tasty.

I wonder though if they will be able to stay in business. We were there on a Friday night and were only one of three tables during our dinner. They did seem to be doing a decent business on takeout though. The restaurant is tucked in a strip plaza, and isn't easily visible from the street. Perhaps they need to do a Groupon or something similar to get some traffic for people to even know they exist.

Get in there!. Like another poster commented, this place needs to get the word out. I'll do my part :) Their location isn't perhaps conducive to 'night-out' thinking, but it should be on your list. Great neighbourhood restaurant. The food was great (absolutely recommend the Tamarind Shrimp). Prices are not low, but the portions are very generous. Nice decor, pleasant service. They've been open a while, tried it for the first time recently and were very much wowed. Will be back for sure.

Fish is incredible!. This restaurant is Oakville's best new hidden secret. They need to advertise because they will surely fill the place once people try their delicious fare. The four flame fish (real red snapper - no empty batter here) is incredible! Whole crispy fish is SO tasty. Also to die for is the fresh green mango salad and top notch Pad Thai. Best Thai in Oakville by far!
