Review Celadon House - Oakville

Loved this place when I still lived here and it's still great today 10+ years later. The food is just great, the service too and it's family run. I'll always try to eat here when I am in the area.

One of my favourite restaurants I have been eating here for years. Food is always fresh and the flavours are amazing. The calamari is the best I have had. Service is always friendly, feels like your home. Haven’t had a dish I didn’t like.

First timer who ordered the crispy sichuan beef and chicken satay and very much enjoyed the dishes. Given the current situation, picking it up from the drive-thru window was easy

Nice quaint and cozy restaurant. The food tastes good and the staff are nice. The lady (seems to be an owner) was very friendly. It's my first time here but I saw her greet what seems to be regulars who came in with familiarity. Great neighborhood restaurant. Worth a stop!

Well, we frequented this restaurant for years because food was great, and throughout 2 years of lockdowns we supported them by getting takeout more often than usual, and with big orders too, but that came to an end few days ago when our friends were turned back because they still require vax-pass to dine in, even though it is discontinued province wide. They were also coming from other end of Oakville for takeout's for two years, to support them and now they cannot enter! They just lost few regular customers (families) because we will not support ANY kind of discrimination. And we will make sure to tell everyone not to go there.

A long time friend and I decided to meet up and try the food out at the Celadon House. Celadon House has a very welcoming and calm atmosphere. My friend had already gotten us a spot by the window by the time I got there so there was no need for any waiting. The service was great. I got the spicy Tom Yum soup since it reminds me of back home (Malaysia). The Tom Yum soup comes with the options of either chicken or shrimp however I requested for a vegetarian option and they were able to swap those for mushroom instead. My friend got the Pad Thai with Tofu. I got the appetizer sized Tom Yum soup since I did not want too much to eat, but the potion size was much bigger than I had expected, and to my friend's surprise arrived a huge bowl of Pad Thai. The service sizes are huge, so that's one thing to keep in mind before ordering as one order can feed more than 1 person. The Tom Yum soup met my expectations and did not disappoint. It was delicious, spicy, with a delicate tangy/sour flavour, and the mushrooms were great as well. My friend enjoyed her Pad Thai as well, however did not finish due to the large portion size. Will definitely recommend to check this place out if you're in the area.

Really disappointing. This is the first time we tried Celadon House and ordered take out. We were told 30-40 minutes, seemed like a while, but we thought 'at least they are trying to make it really fresh". We ordered two pad thai and one fresh roll (which is one of their reccos on their menu). The fresh roll came with only two rolls and one of them was broken and had browning lettuce, all the insides exploding out. Hardly any tofu, mainly just noticeably brown lettuce. The chicken pad thai barely had any flavour (surprising for thai food) and had an unpleasant smell. Both pad thai dishes only had 2-3 strips of chicken in them and a few pieces of red pepper...so we basically paid $28.00 dollars for two containers of bland noodles and another $7.00 for the rolls. We won't be eating here again.

Our family has been going to Celadon House for years and have never been disappointed! Whether you're ordering take-out or dining in, this family run business serves both delicious food and an impeccable experience! Our list of favourite dishes is endless, but the house festival rice is an absolute must-try!
