Have been here many times over the years. Friendly management and staff, food is always fresh and served quickly. Today was no different and Gord the manager ensured that service was excellent as usual. Deep fried calamari and butterfish are my absolute favorites and now I'm adding their tempura to my list.
Would definitely recommend them to all.

One of the best all you can eat restaurants in GTA. Fresh and delicious! Beef and Salmon Teriyaki along with Mango salad and miso soup are my faves. My huband and sis in law just love everything they serve! Almost every week my family comes here to dine in.
The best place to take and treat friends and relatives to when they come and visit from other provinces.
A wonderful experience overall. The wait staff was pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful. The restaurant including washrooms pristine! And the food, oh the food....excellent! I have already told many friends and will definitely be going back!
Went to dinner to celebrate my daughter's birthday good service good food!!! We are very much satisfied!!
Great food and fantastic service. I highly recommend this restaurant!
I love the variety and the all you can eat menu!! Coconut Shrimp and Chicken Pad Thai are my personal favourites
Excellent food. Very nice staff. Would definitely return!!
Been going to Spoon and Fork since their humble location on Lakeshore Blvd. That location has long closed but their quality and service has always been consistent, and has become a "go to" for our family for years. Was there last night for my birthday dinner and again...awesome...and then there was the complimentary birthday cheesecake replete with candle. Highly recommended for a family night out or a special occasion!
We had an amazing time...first time at the Oakville location! Service was great...food was so fast coming to us! We even got thanked and a hand shake when we left to thank us for waiting for our table!
Very good as usual..was nice to see our waiter that has been there forever he shook our hand on way out..
In Oakville again and I had to visit my favourite local restaurant on Sunday. The place was clean and packed and the service was excellent. Food was constant and hot as it was being made constantly after we ordered. We tried close to 30 dishes and each one perfect.
You order from an iPad at your table from an extensive menu including sushi and pasta.
Dishes arrive relatively quickly in small portions allowing you to share with one or two others or to sample a variety of dishes on your own. When in a group you can order multiples of your favourite dishes. Some dishes don't come with sauces they need and after a while some dishes taste strangely like others. I haven't tried ordering from the regular menu to see if there is a difference in quality or taste. Service is somewhat perfunctory as the servers are basically delivering numbered plates to the table and played no part in the ordering of your meal except to send your order from the iPad to the kitchen. Good value for the money. Most tables are booths and are private. Parking lot in the strip mall is always busy. Lots of other restaurant choices nearby
Food was delicious and servers were very polite. I especially enjoyed the coconut rice and peanut sauce chicken. The Crab Fried Rice, Volcano roll and Smokey Crab roll were greatly enjoyed by my friends. Definitely a place to revisit. Service was so fast, we ate non stop.
4 stars for the menu, the food and the ambience. Would have rated them 5 if the service was on par with the food. Server was extremely unfriendly.
The food here is amazing. The price is decent for what you get. I loved the ambiance! Server forgot a couple of things and was slow on service but other than that everything else was good. I would be back if I come to Ontario again 😝
Great food, great service. The stuff just need to smile more and be more friendly.
But I don't think they have a bad dish and it has a great atmosphere. I introduce all my Freinds there and they are all addicted and very regular costumers. Try it you won't be disappointed.
I am a fan of this franchise & their food; this particular location, Oakville, has great ambience & service on top of everything, which makes the visit here always worthwhile.
Spoon and fork in Oakville is a newer location. The food quality is pretty good and you can order unlimited portions which is good for your big eaters. Good curry dishes.
I like this. Pad Thai is real nice. Think about doing more Asian than not (as the "plus" indicates at the other location). Fresh sushi too.
Nothing spectacular, but not bad at all. Came for the weekend AYCE lunch with a friend and left decently satisfied with my meal. The fish used in the sushi and sashimi was good quality for all-you-can-eat and better than a lot of AYCE places I've been. Maki rolls were pretty tasty, although the absence of a few staples (or at least what I consider staples for a sushi restaurant) was a little disappointing. The sushi rice was also overly sticky to the point of being really chewy. It didn't ruin the meal by any means, but it would have been nice if it was a little bit better quality. I can't speak to any of the non-sushi stuff or appetizer menu items personally, but the friend I was with had a few and seemed to be enjoying them. Also from a presentation point of view there was nothing to write home about. More creative platings would have been great, especially when you compare the fantastic decor of the restaurant to the boring looking food you're eating.
The real downside is the service. Our waiter was ok, but the ordering system for AYCE is a bit bizarre. At all the restaurants I've been to they at the very least have paper order forms. Here they don't even have that. We had to go out of our way to ask for a pen to write things down with before telling the waiter the order. Such an unnecessary pain and I can see it getting much worse if you have a larger group of people to coordinate. On top of that several of our orders never even made it to the table. We didn't end up asking what had happened because at that point we were pretty full anyway but it still happened too often for my liking.
All in all, Spoon and Fork was just ok. The food was good for what it was, the decor was pretty cool and it's not overly pricey but it's nothing that I'd go to regularly.
Amazing Night. I went to Spoon and Fork on June 12th 2014 with my father. We both love Thai food, but some restaurants have really bad food. I ordered the chicken with peanut sauce with coconut rice on the side. I prepared to be waiting for a while, but before i knew it, they had come out with it. (3 minutes about). The meal was simply delicious. The original meal is really spicy, but the coconut rice made it just right. Our waitress checked in on us every 5 minutes. I had green tea with my meal, so i was getting really hot. I guess our amazing waitress could just read my mind because she brought us some ice water right away without me saying anything. I truly had a wonderful experience with the Spoon and Fork and can't wait to go there again!
Delicious ayce in a decent atmosphere
Had a good time!. I tried this place for the first time and I found the quality to be very good and the service to be right on par. I certainly hope it's not hit and miss as I'm reading because I am planning to go back there again sometime shortly.
I think for food quality and quantity, this is the best Thai restaurant Ive ever been to. The service and food and atmosphere are second to none. It is a bit pricey but not bad to come here on occasion for a great Thai, japanese and chinese meal. Awesome.
Great food , not so great service
Really hit or miss. Let me qualify my review title by saying that the food itself is almost always a hit. The service, unfortunately, has been more miss than hit in my experience (and that's for both this location and the Clarkson location). I've been annoyed so many times by how inattentive and careless the wait staff are that I should really stop giving them my business, but the food is incredible and it's a favourite work-lunch location.
I will never forget the time I sat down with a co-worker, ordered lunch and then went to use the ladies room, only to find it was out-of-service (and would be for the remainder of the day). I questioned the waiter on how they could even be open with no washrooms available and he suggested I walk across the street to the McDonalds?? It was bizarro. That's one example of some pretty shoddy customer-care.
But the food. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, because the food keeps me coming back, and is the reason I gave this restaurant a thumbs up overall. If they want to truly be excellent, though, they need to focus on their service.
SUSHI MMMM. The only reason to ever go here is for the all-you-can-eat buffet. Not only is this the absolute best all-you-can-eat sushi place around here, it's the best sushi place period. I thought that maybe a non-buffet, expensive sushi place would be better, but so far Spoon & Fork beats them all in every way. Even down to the chopsticks. They always have really nice chopsticks there, not the cheap disposable ones. Everything about this place is quality. Now if you don't like sushi, then don't come here. You could probably find better tai food elsewhere. The tai food here is still really good, but really, you come here for the sushi. You get your money's worth eating the sushi. I always judge and compare sushi places with their spicy salmon maki. Spoon & Fork has the best spicy salmon maki ever. It's just perfect, and has the right amount of crunch. Yes, the service can be a little slow sometimes, but I find that that's the case at all sushi buffets. Honestly, you're never going to find a better sushi place for the money. Once you go here, you'll never ever go anywhere else. Why pay a bagillion dollars for a couple rolls of sushi, when you can go to Spoon & Fork and eat as much high quality sushi as you want? You'd think that sushi buffets offer a lesser quality, but this is NOT the case. Don't listen to the bad reviews. As long as you love sushi and don't want to pay tons only to not be full, just go.
The best food I've ever had!. My girlfriend and I attended a Saturday dinner service for the first time, and were absolutely blown away by the excellent customer service and the spectacular food! We ordered the spring rolls, calamari, thai sautee'd chicken, pad su, and deep fried tofu. We were especially delighted at the large number of vegan and vegetarian options available, which many Oakville restaurants do not have on their menu. The atmosphere was loud, but had a relaxing feel, despite being quite busy at the time. The food was out of this world: I truly can't recommend it enough. Considering that we ate from the all-you-can-eat menu, for 27$, this was truly one of the best meals we've ever shared. We could still taste the food almost two hours after eating it. I think this is the best possible value for food of such exquisite quality. Our waitress was friendly and personable, and our meals arrived very quickly. The calamari was the best I have ever had. I highly recommend the Spoon & Fork!
We recently visited the Oakville location of the Spoon & Fork and after ready many of the reviews on this site, were pleasantly surprised as to how great the food and service was. We went on a Friday night and had a reservation (they do not take reservations on Saturdays). We decided to have the AYCE and were thrilled with everything except for the Mango salad which was a bit over ripe. Other than that, the food came very quickly, was the right temperature and our server was very friendly and efficient. We would definitely go back!
Great thai food, bad sushi.. That's all I have to say about that.
Too pricey for bad food.. Do not go to this place unless you have no where else to go to be ripped off. $26.00 Dinner price for ayce should be a great bargain. But unfortunately, not for this type of selection n grade of sushi and sashimi.
But if you do not care or do not know what good sushi or sashimi is, then you may enjoy this place. Servers are okay, what do you expect, this is not real authentic japanese run like GUU,
Good luck.
Perfect food for a good price, highly recommend it.
Awesome, but confusing at first. Went to Spoon & Fork on Trafalgar in Oakville for lunch. Nobody in our group had been to a Spoon & Fork restaurant. We did not realize that it was an AYCE place. The waiter just handed us the menus and asked what we wanted. There is an a la carte menu if you ask for it. After we figured out what was going on....we ordered and ordered...and ordered. It was a wonderful experience. Some gentlemen next to us say that they make a pilgrimage to the restaurant once a month. The lunch AYCE is $16 and dinner is $25. It is the same menu for both. The restaurant does take reservations. One warning, soda (hey I'm a Yank)...I mean pop....refills are not free. I think they were $2.50 a pop (sorry for pun). There is an online PDF on the website with the menu. If you click on the menus on the left side of the page, there is a listing of all items with a description...and most important the amount of spice in a dish. I got the Spicy Basil Chicken and it about burned my mouth off...so knowing what is spicy is helpful. The menu says you are charged for anything you don't eat....although if you really hate something....or it is too spicy...I don't know what they would do. I figure they would let one dish slide. There is no need to over order because the wait staff is very attentive and return and pleasant intervals to take another order.
Best all you can eat. As someone who loves sushi, I've been to more than a few all you can eat restaurants and this is by far my favourite. The sushi was fresh, light and tasty - not overburdened by fillers like mayo and tempura bits most AYCE places overload their rolls with. On top of that, the non sushi dishes were delicious. The fallback to most sushi places I've been is the blandness of the other menu items but Spoon and Fork has it spot on. The pad thai and peanut chicken were especially good.
Critics of this restaurant need to realize that this is, for the most part, an all you can eat spot - it's unreasonable to expect the quality and care to live up to that of an a la carte menu - but they are the closest i've seen. I would have no problem paying $10-$20 for most of the entrees if they were priced seperately.
The one criticism I agree on is the mediocre service. The waiters tend to be impersonal and sometimes just unfriendly and at busier times the food can take a while but overall the Spoon and Fork is still one of my favourite spots - and definitely the best AYCE I`ve had!
I almost didn't stop here today because of the recent bad reviews but I am glad I did. Wow what a great place! Dirt cheap sushi and frigging great! I will be back.
Been to this place twice and had good service and food both times, would recommend.
Spoon & fork is soo amazing. I go every week for the all you can eat lunch. It is the only place I've seen with sashimi for lunch. The portions are generous and the fish is very fresh, and is also vegetarian friendly. Best sushi restaurant in Oakville.
I've been for dinner to eat mostly Thai cuisine and it was amazing. I've also been for all you can eat sushi dinner, which was also delicious. Tons of variety and awesome food - I definitely recommend spoon and fork
Amazing all you can eat lunch menu. So much to pick from it was great. Food was really good and service was top notch.
Only the best Thai place around here. Try going there on a Friday night and you'll see the LINE-UP. People don't lie
