I come here at least once a week with my boyfriend. It's our sushi spot. It's super cheap and you get quite a bit of food for the price. The sashimi pieces are huge! Service is alright, nothing to be hyped about and the quality of the food is pretty good. It's usually quite busy around dinner time, but you never wait long for your food.

BY FAR MY FAVORITE SUSHI SPOT!. I love this place my Fiancee and I always come here to eat and we love it, the portions are great the sushi is always fresh and taste delicious. The service is nice and friendly and the restaurant itself has a nice clean atmosphere. We go there so often the owner comes out to say hi sometimes but most times when we go there they are super busy Anyway we think of it as our special spot to eat and will continue to keep coming back for as long as its there.
Love IT!

I love this place! It's our favourite! It's soooooo cheap so whenever we can't be bothered to cook (which is quite a lot) we go there and the food is great. The service is always terrible but we actually find it quite amusing!

Tasty, good value.. Very nice for simple sashimi in large slices, a few sushi rolls and a miso soup. Great value and swift service. Child friendly.

My friends and I always go to Yuko Maki when we go out for dinner, it's our go to dinner spot. The food is amazing and cheap. I'm seeing all these reviews about how there's terrible service and now that I think about it I guess the service isn't great. But I'm still going to be eating there. IT'S THE BEST.

Cheap and tasty. I love the eatery dubbed rolls. I have heard the fish is the freshest from others, I have to say I have definitely had better quality, but its so cheap...WHO CARES. oh yea, worst service ever too. I never tip.

BEST VALUE. We've been going to Yuko Maki for years now after literally trying every single sushi place on the North Shore. Love their food for the price! My big thing is that the avocado can't be old and this place did not disappoint. Service was so-so but you're not paying for good service so we don't mind. Also one of the cheapest places to get party trays and now all of my friends get their trays from them because of the variety of rolls, freshness and price. We normally share a sushi special (comes with 3 rolls and miso soup for 5.95) and then add things like sumono, edemame, tempoura and gyoza to the meal and we eat until we are stuffed for close to 20 bucks. Highly recommend if you are looking for fresh sushi at a good price - just don't expect much with service. Also the layout of the joint is awesome with huge booths and lots of private (where most sushi places you either eat at a counter bar or at a small table in the middle of the restaurant)

I've never been disappointed yet. Seems they have "borrowed" some rolls from the eatery, but they do them well and do them cheap. My goto spot for sushi in north van

Good but questionable service. This place is really busy and it's probably because of the prices. Pretty good portions for what you pay. I generally get take-out to avoid the crowds.

Last time I had agedashi tofu which was good but got a bit soft in transfer. Best to eat that type of thing in. The appetizer tempura came with ten pieces and was a good deal for $6.95. Oddly, it came with two spring rolls. How unusual.

Also had the salmon crunch roll which has spicy salmon and tempura bits inside. Very yummy - this is a staple for me. Avocado roll had generous chunks of green goodness and the alaska roll was tasty as well. A bit heavy on the mayonnaise but also a good deal.

Had the gomaae as well, it was decent. The inari was tasty but the ikura was a miss. Small fish roe that tasted a bit off.

All in all, a good deal about around $26 for all of that food.

A word of advice - bring your patience on the weekends. They told me 20 minutes and I ended up waiting 45. They're not very polite either but that's probably because they're so busy - there were a steady stream of people going in and out as I waited.

Recommended, if you don't mind the crowds.
