Tucked slightly further into the Lonsdale Quay marketplace, The Sandwich Shop has become one of my favourite places to grab lunch en route to class! My favourite so far is the Prosciutto Panini. Made fresh, the prosciutto is paired with pesto sauce, bocconcini, arugula and truffle oil. It isn't too heavy and is the perfect size to leave you satisfied for the remaining hours of your work day. Looking forward to trying out the rest of their menu!
Wish I had known about this place sooner!
First time here, tried the Prosciutto Di Parma which was tasty but a classic. My boyfriend had the Porchetta which I have to say is one of the tastiest sandwiches I have ever had. The pork was tender and the crackling adds amazing texture and taste. Hopefully get to come again.
Not so good now!. Did they recently change owner? I ordered my usual, the porchetta sandwich. The whole thing was cold. The meat used to be warm-hot and the bread was more fresh. I'm not returning in case it's bad again.
Top Notch Each Time. I have frequented the Sandwich Shop on several occasions, visiting since it opened. The main lure is the all the great flavours supplied by their homemade sauces and the seasoned meats. If I had all these at home, I wouldn't need to go out. My tried and true is the turkey banh mi, with pickled vegetables and liver pate, although I did venture out of my comfort zone and enjoyed a tasty chicken panini on the week-end. I wasn't disappointed. I had taken my boss there for lunch a few weeks ago, and he raved about the short rib he ate. The staff are always friendly, and it's a neat little place.
Great menu, artisan sandwiches and healthy salads made with fresh ingredients. Truffle oil was in the Porchetta which wasn't advertised (I'm not a fan of truffle oil though it seems everyone else is). Service was excellent.
Good Stuff!. I have tried all the sandwiches, working through the Panini's now...fav is the Korean Short Rib. Very tender with great flavour and a bit of heat. And the bread! Went awesome with the mango avocado salad. A meal I am looking forward to repeating!
