A very lovely place to visit.
Perfect place for a date as well. Food is amazing.
I am a vegetarian and they have a very few options for veggie.. but they have nice stuff.. tofu, pad thai, fried rice. You can ask for spicy noodles as well. It was super delicious. Staff member was pretty friendly and recommended perfect dish. :)

Pretty decent and solid Thai food, not the best we have ever had, however it was good!
Nice ambience - comfortable seating in the huge booths. Tucked away at the bottom of Lonsdale which was nice compared to being on display on the street like other restaurants in the area.
Friendly and attentive service. Fair prices.

Thai House has really good food and their lunch specials are awesome. You get quite a bit of food for what you're paying. The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing and the service is great.
My wife and I really enjoyed the Thai food curry dishes we had for dinner. The staff was very polite and friendly and the service pretty fast too. Prices very reasonable. There are not too many great Thai restaurants in North Vancouver and so we recommend this one as our main choice for the North Shore.

Consistently good. Never disappointed when ordering the Chicken Red Curry lunch special. I like that it comes with a spring roll and salad as well but whatever salad dressing they use is disturbing, aesthetically. It literally looks like a squeezed tube of vaseline sitting on top of lettuce. Other than that, the spring rolls are delicious and the food is always good! Not a fan of their Pad Thai but their "New Edition" Pad Thai with beef is pretty good - just not something one would order if they were craving the usual pad thai dish. Their chicken and cashew nut dish is really tasty too.Ā
Service is always super friendly and their prices are great but they do have an issue with serving both people's food at the same time during their lunch rush. Usually one person's dish will come out like 10 minutes before the other persons.
Another bonus point for them is that although they are located at the bottom of Lonsdale on Esplanade - a street notoriously terrible for finding parking - Thai House has an entire lot above the restaurant (accessible through the alley) for their patrons to park in. Just make sure you write down your license plate at the hostess table and you've got hassle-free parking!
Meal:Ā L7 lunch special - comes with salad, egg roll, chicken on a bed of steamed spinach with peanut sauce, changed regular rice to spinach rice for extra. Yes, I had rice on a non-cheat day. fml.Ā . Atmosphere:Ā Mood lighting on point, booth seating is uncomfortable, tables are little on the high side.

Thai house is now celebrating their 30 year anniversary. 2 people can dine for 30 bucks. Apparently it's their 1980's pricing. The meal starts off with 2 spring rolls, and 2 Tom yum soups. The soups have good spice and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it. The green curry is very comforting. The chicken cashew dish is good but we only had 5 pieces of cashews... Other then that the kitchen had it nailed down.
Now here's the down side. The service.
While we were waiting at the door the manager saw us and said nothing. Hostess comes and takes a deep breath at our faces... She could use a breath mint. When we were ready to order it was so difficult to wave someone down. This place wasn't busy at all. Prob 8 tables max. Not sure what was going on.
I waved down our hostess to let her know we want to order the special, she replied back saying I'll grab your waiter, I'm just the hostess. No water refills, no check ups on how were doing, think we're gonna leave a proper tip? Nope.
I grew up on the north shore and this was my first time back eating at the Thai house. The old location at Chesterfield had service nailed down hard. Not sure what's going on here. The rating would've been higher but just gonna settle on a pass.
The owners should see what's going on here with staff, it's pretty disappointing...
I recommend another Thai house location for a better experience if your having date night.

Not sure about their dinner but go here for lunch. They usually have lunch menus that's reasonably priced and the food is delicious. Inside atmosphere is nice as well. Enjoy.
Pretty good. I went here with my friend for lunch. she had the yellow curry and i had their pad thai. their pad thai wasn't too bad. good portions, good mix of fresh ingredients. i just felt like the sauce tasted a bit too much like ketchup and that wasn't too cool.
my friend's yellow curry was actually much better than my pad thai. it was spicy, it was flavourful and had big chunks of meat as well as vegetables.
i think it's a hit and miss with certain dishes... but the atmosphere was real cool.
Long time customer. I go here every once in awhile and I must say...Great! I love Thai food. It is the best Thai food in town, in my opinion. The service is amazing, they are so friendly. The restaurant is very nice inside. It used to be located further down the street and this location is better and wayyy nicer inside too. It is a must! It is somewhat pricey but you pay for what you get.

Great food but a little pricey. The food here is amazing, we generally get take-out but the restaurant itself is very nice with modern fancy decor. Somewhere that you would dress up nice to for a date. Very authentic, high quality dishes, my only complaint would be that the prices are little high. You do get quality food for what you pay for.
One of the best in Canada. Because I can't possibly speak for all the Canadian Thai restaurants, I will simply state that it's one of the best.
But in my private mind, I do believe this is the best Thai place around in Canada. Every time I go to a Thai restaurant, I do always think back to this place and compare the incomparable. This place is simply smashing!
Great lunches. Had the Pad Khing (L5) for lunch today, and it was great. Not too overwhelming in spice or taste, but not bland either.
Definitely phone to place your order for pick up before 12noon - and if you're planning on going to eat in, better get tehre before 12noon or it's packed!
Could've had a bit more salad, and dipping sauce for my spring roll, but the pad khing itself was really good, and I'll definitely order it again! And for under $8 with taxes, it's a perfect, filling, cheap lunch solution!
I took my son and wife here for dinner and results were mixed. First the bad: waiter took too long to return to take our order after bringing the drinks, too much hovering over our table to take away empty plates my pet peeve especially when others are still eating, when our son asked for an ice tea refill he was told "we don't do refills" so he decided on water instead reservedly, the old couple next to us ordered water but were served 2 beers and when waiter was notified he got distracted by me asking for bill and left the couple with their unwanted beers, some woman nearby was freaking out about food too spicy when she clearly had asked for mild. The food itself was tasty and good sized portions, yellow curry with chicken was creamy and just right spicyness, noodles with seafood were nice and dry with fair amount of seafood. Would have been nice to be served orange slices after dinner. Miscellaneous: food came very fast but $5 beers were pricy. Overall a C+ rating.
New Menu Rocks. Usually we go to the Thai House in Kits but we were on the North Shore so thought we would try it out. Heard it relocated down the street and was newly renovated. The decor was like the others but more updated but more importantly, the food was just as good if not even better. Refreshing to have a revised menu so we liked the variety since we are fans of the other locations which are the same. Still we couldn't not order the spicy green beans as if you like spice and veggies, nobody beats that dish.
