Review Two Rivers Specialty Meats - North Vancouver

Honestly used to be my favorite place to grab a steak and a burger. I haven't found anywhere else in Vancouver that I enjoyed their burgers as much as this place. The relish they had on their steaks were amazing too. Just a little bit too far away for me to visit regularly but this place is honestly quality. Highly recommend meat lovers to come!

When i heard there is a place in north van that has 65 day aged burger naturally i was extremely excited to go and visit. I have to say this place lives up to the expectations. The moment I walked in my day instantly became better. You walk in and greeted by a massive dry age freezer packed with high quality meat and when you order your food you realize there is a proper charcoal grill fired up in the back where the food is being made. The in house aged sausages and meat is great, every item we ordered off the menu was excellent and the beer selection is great. Highly recommend it.

I was so exited to test their food based on reviews on google, I made it yesterday and now im going to share my experience: 1- their Burger was very normal burger like what you will get on most Canadian restaurant. 2- Their chicken was so dry, just a little spice on top and pretty much is like what you can can from costco or safeway fried chicken, nothing was WOW or impressing for me, Expect their popcorn which was very delicious(And its free), Their food is over price for the quality and quantity, they dont have cocke or fanta or regular soft drinks, they offer free water and Mexican ginger and cola which I hate it. Customer service was very normal, or better to say average. Overall is not a place That im going to recommend anyone.

Great place to grab a bite and drink beer. They have tasty salt and pepper popcorn for free. Great for grabbing and pitcher and snacking on the popcorn. Had the feature steak which was pretty good. I would have preferred it without the chimichurri sauce. The sausage platter was delicious and cooked perfectly.

Good casual food inside a butcher meat store. Beef tartare is delicious with the charred grilled toast. Tallow fries are crisp and double fried. Burger was a little greasy for me, definitely add the bacon for extra flavourful though. Crispy chicken drumsticks have a little kick to it, pretty taste.

Amazing food and Amazing Service. Went there for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised on how good the food was. The server behind the cash register was not the most helpful, but the other servers on the floor and walking around were very polite and nice. Overall we will go back for sure!

I've been hearing about this place for awhile now, finally had the opportunity to try it and I can Glady say it loved up to the hype. The burger is fantastic, the rotisserie chicken is juicy and well seasoned, everything is just made well using high quality ingredients. Clean washrooms, plenty of parking, the only thing is, the location is a bit tucked away and industrial.

Coming from Richmond, I was hoping it would be worth the drive. For me, it's not. Food is overall good, but not great. I was hoping for a real nice dry aged beef flavour in my burger but it didn't really come through at all. The pickles had a unique flavour though and, in my opinion, overpower the burger. Compared to my favorite dry aged beef burger right now from Multnomah Whiskey Library in Portland, this simply cannot compare. Yes, the US burger would cost about CAD$23 with today's exchange. On the other hand, I also bought some dry aged steak to try at home. Result, not bad at all. Perhaps I'll be better off with a custom order of dry aged beef.

Two Rivers is a specialty butcher shop that supplies many of the restaurants around Vancouver.  Their retail store has a full kitchen, and some long table and counter seating. The menu is fairly straight forward: burgers, roast chicken, grilled sausages, hot dogs, and a daily feature roast beast.  They also have some unexpected items like ramen, kale salad and charcuterie boards.  Not surprisingly, their menu features the same meat products that come their butcher shop.
Yes. We,re Eating Again.
Located more or less behind Capilano Mall in an industrial area, Two Rivers Specialty Meats is a sleek storefront with a clean sleek interior (as you might expect from a butcher shop). We started with Crispy BBQ Pork Bites. Give it a squeeze from the grilled lime and you have an amazing snack. Both lean and fatty, these guys were rich, tasty and surprisingly tender. I assume that they use their signature rub on these. We decided that we liked the crispy little pieces slightly more than the bigger pieces but we would never consider leaving either behind. We came for a burger. 65-day dry-aged beef really does make a difference. This burger was beefy in a way that one dreams of. With bacon and cheese, this is one of the best burgers that we have ever had. The fries are cooked in tallow and that makes for an excellent tasting and crispy product as well. You have the option of sitting at the counter and watching the chef at work, cooking over wood. Pretty impressive to tackle all the effort involved in keeping a wood fire at an even temperature. From their butcher dop, we took home some house-made sausages to try later. The small one was lamb with allspice, garlic and lemon. The others were Chorizo and Longaniza (not the Filipino kind but the Portuguese kind). All three were more than a little but impressive. So a full-service impressive butcher shop that runs a cafe featuring their products. The procedure is order at the counter and they deliver your food to your table. The staff are knowledgable as well as friendly. I am guessing that it can get pretty busy here but there is seating for probably 60 people or more. It would be worth a wait also.
