Review Alberello Pizzeria - North Vancouver

Went there on my way back after Garibaldi lake hike. Had vegetarian pizzas and focaccia bread. Pizza crust was on a crisper side which I liked but my friends not as much. Toppings and over taste is good. Busy place over the weekend, better to reserve the place before going. Ambiance and staff is nice.

Very enjoyable pizza and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was attentive without being overbearing. Prices for pizza’s are fair as they are quite large and very filling. We ordered one pizza each for three of us and we all took 3 - 4 pieces home to enjoy the following day!

Nice little family-owned style restaurant. This is the greenest pesto pasta I've even seen which I love ❤️. The wine choice has some room for improvement.

Very generous and courteous staff. Our server had a lovely smile and face. Food was excellent. We had the award winning vegetarian pizza. Washroom, though unmarked, was fine. Will return next time we are in the area! Would recommend!

A nice place to enjoy a quieter dinner out. Pasta is great! Have not tried their pizza. Prices are great, especially their Sunday specials. Staff is nice - they could have been a bit more attentive, but this was not a problem for us.

We ordered two lasagnas for a total of $42. The portion size was really small compared with the price, which was honestly surprising for that amount of money. We picked up in person, and the unmasked employee who helped us pay had a totally bad attitude following the fact that I did not tip for the takeout order. This is not outside the norm, the is no service with takeout and as such, no reason to tip. He promptly went off to a table to sit down and sulk. The lasagnas were subpar - overcooked pasta and watery when plated. Not much else to say. Added a couple photos, the first has a cup for scale. Ultimately, I wish I had my $42 back to spend at a different restaurant.

Great service and amazing food. I go all the time with my family as there’s a vegan option for my dad and our favourite focaccia! Cute small and seems family owned. The service is great and they always recommend a good wine

Updated review: We decided to give them another try based on the owner/ operator’s response to my original review. The food was still mediocre and the service was terrible. The manager didn’t welcome us to the restaurant. We stood around while he ignored us for 10 minutes. When the food arrived we asked for Parmesan and pepper for the pizza and he rudely stated, ‘It’s already in the food. We had to argue that in most Italian restaurants it’s brought to the table in addition to being included in the preparation of the food. As you can see in the pictures, the pizza crust was soggy and dripping with moisture. They really can’t cook Italian food and there’s no Italian chef present despite what the owner claims in his response. Don’t waste your money here. First review: We ordered the supposedly ‘award winning’ Verde Noce pizza, a caprese salad and the Rucola salad. The food was mediocre, overpriced and poor quality. For the caprese, instead of bursting-with-flavour cherry tomatoes and bufalo mozzarella we received one flavourless hothouse generic tomato with grocery chain store mozzarella. The rucola salad didn’t have the ingredients listed on the menu and the proprietor only cares to mention this after I’ve paid for and picked up my order. The pizza was cold and bland. Not sure it’s an award winner in its present format. The current owners are Persian and living off the reputation of the previous owners. They don’t understand Italian food and quality ingredients. Very disappointed after having spent $45 on a sub par meal. Go somewhere else.
