One of the few places where I can eat vegetarian ramen! I love this place! The ramen was full of flavor and it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. They do have other food items on the menu, like the rice noodle cashew sauce. (Which is also really good by the way.) But I mostly come here to fulfill my ramen craving.
Wish they'd be open a bit later during the day so I can grab dinner here after work and it is quite busy with limited seating during the weekends. But overall in my opinion, the wait is worth it. :)
Great place for a quick lunch with friends. I'm not vegetarian but I LOVE the Spicy Tan Tan Ramen...it always hits the spot when it's chilly outside. The place is always clean & the service is fast. Would highly recommend!!!
I'm so happy to have discovered this place! I ordered the rice noodles with cashew sauce and needed a dessert, too (so many vegan options!!). I bought a chocolate croissant and coffee to end the delicious meal. I'm so glad this place is nearby. I'm sure I'll be back (many times)!
Being a visitor from NZ, I came across the artisan sake bar on Granville Island, which then led me to ramen at The WORKSHOP. where I met the sake maker again The cafe has a light and airy feel with friendly staff. I had a lovely bowl of ramen, the soup was clear and tasty. It was a great way to end my visit to Vancouver! Totally recommend this place.
I am in love with this place! Fresh homemade goodness. I was worried I’d be hungry soon after a veg meal at lunch but was very satisfied all afternoon!
BEST place to experience organic vegan ramen with fresh home made noodles. Chef Hokuto is the man who knows how to serve the tasty dish with style. The presentation of ramen here are so beautiful. Where else you'd expect "black truffle oil" on your ramen!?
And the baked items can not be missed too! Craving goes to the vegan cinnamon rolls... with vegan cream cheese base topping... yummmm
Delicious food. I'd been hearing about The Workshop from friends and clients and finally made it there and it lived up to the high expectations. Tasty food - fresh - organic - local. V much appreciate the philosophy behind this cafe. Next time, I'm going after the Buddha bowl. btw, the Ramen was great. Do you do private events??
I've never ever eat those kind of the vegan food!! I'm honestly here is best vegetarian cafe ever!!
Their vegan cinnamon rolls are epic. Definitely a must have if you stop by.
Great REAL ramen. A great place for lunch. Pleasant decor, friendly staff, great food!
i am a chef, plus, a vegetariano, and i live on the north shore, and, love the location. i can't say enough good things about how special there food is. i had the pleasure of chatting with the chef and he is a very humble peaceful dude, plus the ladies working were also very zen....i am so happy they moved in and i look forward to visiting them at least weekly....amazing!!!!
I was very excited to find somewhere new with vegan options and I wasn't disappointed! Delicious food, Super friendly service and vegan tiramisu to go!! Couldn't ask for more :-)
Been trying to get here for a long time. Finally did tonight. Excellent food and I'll be going there again often.
I got the spicy tan tan. It was a mildly spicy creamy light soup. Noodles are made perfectly chewy and delicious. Portion sizes are on the smaller size. They ask if u wanna add additional toppings. For the price, I feel like they should give you a protein like egg or tofu but that's extra. I do feel the price is a bit steep but that's probably my only con.
This place has a very relaxed atmosphere. The staff aren't overly friendly but they're not rude or anything either.
Overall, I would recommend for anyone who wants to try vegan food. It's healthy and flavorful but it's a bit pricey.
Ordered a very tasty vegetarian ramen in rich mushroom broth, yummy! Chose Oat Milk to go with my Matcha Latte. Deco is minimum but stylish. Extremely friendly servers. Hubby dropped his wallet in the restaurant & the lady server rushed out of the restaurant to return it to him. Our hearty thanks to her again!
This is THE only go to place for tasty ramen noodles on the North Shore. You can’t go wrong eating yummy organic ramen at reasonable prices. I always have the spicy tan tan ramen. It’s served either cold or ho in their signature creamy organic butternut squash broth & rayu chilli oil. It definitely warms the soul on a cold winter day. We also had the shoyu ramen in mushroom broth with truffle-shallot oil. It was a treat to try their handcrafted vegan steam bun. Delish.
They are an ideal eatery for vegetarians and vegans. They also offer frozen vegan ramen noodles at various food places such as IGA, Meridian Farm Market & Stongs. Check their website for various locations. Unfortunately, they are only open for lunch on weekdays from 11 am to 6 pm Mon to Friday. If you enjoy eating healthy and organic food, you can’t go wrong here. They’re located off Marine Drive and Pemberton in North Vancouver.
Friendly staff and fast service. Not much crowd on Tuesday lunch hour. Food w as s healthy. I was expecting more spicy and flavorful ramen (we had three types of Ramen). Salad was not very filling.
A charming place with fresh ingredients on salads or soups (ramen-style).
Noodles were cooked aldente and the sauces were tasty!
The team was welcoming and very curteous and prepared our dishes diligently
We do recommend for a vegan lunch !
Had the Nama Shoyu Ramen w/egg. Broth was very flavorful and the noodles were good too. Enjoyed the meal! The service was really friendly and I will be back for sure.
This cafe is so awesome for you vegans and vegetarians who don’t want to compromise the taste of food and what also feels like quite wholesome ingredients being used.
We ordered the tan yam noodles, shoyu and a few cookies. The noodles were house made from whole wheat, and pretty decent. I’d say the highlight to their ramen was the broth. The shoyu broth had a very strong mushroom flavour with a touch of truffle, while the tantan was a lighter brother and spicier. The portion size was also a good amount to make you full. My only complaint is I felt they could’ve loaded it with more toppings, because each dish in itself Id already $15 and if you want to add protein (tofu or egg), it’s an additional $3, which Id pretty steep.
As for the cookies, they were mainly vegan and a very subtle sweet. It’s not a cheat day cookie, but more if you just want something slightly sweet to take the craving away.
Lastly, they have a shop that sells a handful of their products in frozen form to take home and make, which I thought was best. Picked up some soy protein and hot and sour soup for myself to try.
Overall, if you’re looking for a good asian-ish vegan place that uses wholesome ingredients, you gotta check this place out. It’s great!
Food was great. Only four tables for indoor seating, but when I went on Thursday at noon it was not busy.
